Here you can compare scrypt.cc with other mining pools : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/discontinued-cryptoday-mining-revenue-stats-scrypt-scrypt-n-x11-x13-514242. All show a deminishing tendency and scrypt.cc remains one of the top choices.

Mining profits diminishing every week. Is it happening the same in other pools?

That's why he's selling it, to compensate his losses  Cheesy

On the upside, prices are very competitive now, especially when considering you can always sell what you buy.

The price per khs over at scrypt cc has fallen way down, mostly due to a bot undercutting everybody.
That bot is now for sale - send me an email to wannes _ carder @ *very warm mail*.com if you're interested

Buying a bot that loses you money.  That is a real good move.

Yea that's all you need a few bots killing the price then it will be close to free soon.

It seems that the current depreciation of LTC is related to the low yield of mining profits in scrypt.cc

Most likely because of the nearly $200 rally in BTC.

There are claims about scrypt.cc being hacked and that "evidence" about the hack and the coming demise of scrypt.cc can be seen via a proxy. Well, guess what, that attempt to get you to visit something IS the hack. Do not visit any proxy or whatever they want you to visit! Do not use your login and password on anywhere other then https://scrypt.cc, and do NOT trust people who try to scare you and claim to "know" inside information and send you to obscure sites and proxies. Did I mention you should not visit any site?!

This weekend there has been a rash of low-life scum in the chat.  One took advantage of the chat font and try to impersonate TheCleanGame with TheCIeanGame, and a couple others (maybe the same) tried to call themselves Admins, like DC4Admin and UberAdmin.   This person or persons were clearly trying to create FUD.   The thoughts are the UberAdmin is behind the proxy site.    Please only login to https://scrypt.cc ... Don't even cut & paste it, type it is short.  Play safe!

And 1 mH costs as little as .17 btc at Litecoin GEAR. Unlike Genesis Mining shares do not expire after one year. Also unlike scrypt.cc Litecoin GEAR regularly issues dividends to share owners in the form of extra shares, increasing value of their investment.

Meh, can't mine Megacoin or receive payment in BTC with those  Tongue

Seems like Litecoin GEAR and farm$hares are the same sites.

Roughly scrypt.cc costs way less then twice as much, thanks to market value.
1Mhs at genesis costs 0.31 BTC
1Mhs at scrypt.cc costs aroin 0.42BTC now

And today, thanks to Megacoin's birthday and the addition of Megacoin to Genesis-Mining there's a temporary nice MEGA promo there. So yeah, I have 2Mhs now (mining Megacoin of course...). And I still have and will hold my hashes at scrypt.cc. GM looks good, but for me I like the ways of scrypt.cc. More fun. Though, I have both now, so twice the fun Tongue

Good luck with genesis mining then. I have an account there, though no hashrate yet, cause, well, I don't have the amount available yet that's needed there. scrypt.cc is easier to get into as you can start with 1KH/s and build along, all to your own liking.

After one year, at genesis mining you'll have exactly no hashrate left and you'll need to pay again (though less probably as their khs drops in value also) to keep on mining. scrypt.cc's hashrate keeps on mining for you as long as you want it. You may even decide to sell. Or just part of it. Or buy a bit extra frequently to keep up with difficulty issues. The flexibility is excellent.

I'ld say scrypt.cc's KH/s are worth more because of those advantages. Maybe not as much, but we, the buyers and sellers decide that, not scrypt.cc.

Yes, it is a bit more flexibile, but from my point of view the price is way too high. Why? The financial math is the following: if the difficulty increases by a factor of two mining output would reduce by a factor of two. So basically the value of the contract would be worth 50% less.

Roughly scrypt.cc costs twice as much as Genesis Mining. However, the GM contract only lasts one year. What does that mean? If the difficulty within one year increases only or less than a factor of two you would be better of with scrypt.cc (because the value of the contract would still be 14 cents). If it is more than Genesis Mining was the better deal. So basically, the bet between scrypt.cc and Genesis Mining is a bet on the difficulty in one year.

With this many ASIC producers coming to the market and watching the history of BTC mining it is a pretty safe bet from my point of view that the difficulty will increase by far more than twice within one year!

Thus, Genesis Mining is the better choice for now (at least for me Smiley ).

put a fucking graph for trading

People trying to trade there have just made a mess of it.   I wish the traders would just go to cex.io and leave scrypt.cc alone.

As long as the prices eventually settle and go upwards I'm happy. In theory they should as scrypt claim they're only releasing one more block of KHS. If that holds out then, for a certain amount of time, those KHS will rise in value.

As far as I'm aware, Scc hasn't been selling any KHS and they still have their block at .00155 BTC/KHS.   I some though are buying and hoping to sell quickly when the price is higher.  However the market at Scc is rather slow and this action has basically pushed the price lower as people are frustrated by the slow buying.

Right now the yield is on the low side too and that isn't helping.   The whole altcoin market is low now but Scc is doing well compared to most multipools.

I still plan to get some hashrate at genesis, as they seem to have a great offer, though (too) costly for the small miner to get into. And more importantly, I like to spread the risk and not bet all on one horse. 10 Mhs would be nice, but I'd rather have that on several clouds. scrypt.cc is (one of the clouds) providing those investment coins for me  Grin

Just checked 10 MH/s offer and that would be 2,659$. This seems to be very expensive!

For example, genesis-mining.com offers me 10 MH/s for $1,600, this is 1,000$(!) less and down to 14 USD cents for larger packages. Reselling after one year is not an argument for scrypt.cc - in an ASIC scenario with exponentially difficulty growth there will not be much value left after one year of mining.
