The ideal wallet setup is to run full mode on a pc, while running litemode on your mobile.

But for now using litemode to quick sync is a good idea. Or the bootstrap.dat

tnx its working now. going around 2x as fast i suppose Smiley awesome

Once your in sync you can then go to full mode.

It synced up to like the last hours of the blockchain  (99%) and is now stuck there for a hour or so. Am i doing something wrong?

just switch off the wallet and open it again...it will sync

In my config file I had:
thinmode=1
thinstake=1
thinfullindex=1

And it worked fine, head on over to the irc and someone should be able to help.

anyone has a updated blockchain.

or can anyone tell me how to turn on thinmode? syncing isnt going that fast atm.Thanks

Add thinmode=1 to the .conf file

If you need help locating or creating that file, let us know and please specify your operating system!

Ok thanks Smiley

I created a file and named it config.conf and added thinmode=1 in there and put the file in the roaming/appdata/shadowcoin folder. Is that how it works?

I think it should be shadowcash.conf Smiley

I think it is shadowcoin.conf   Smiley

There is a guide here for ShadowLite http://shadowcash.info/wiki/ShadowLite and on the same wiki is a link to the boostrap.dat ("updated blockchain") download and guide. All links and information are on the original post here on page 1.

i got a question about the zero knowledge tech. first, when will it be implemented?
is it the same as zerocoin/zerocash? is it similar to what anoncoin was doing with the rsa_ufo tech? what makes it better than those? thanks

The crypgraphy devs are extremely busy right now as you can imagine. They are finishing up the last touches to the testnet for zero knowledge and a ton of cleanups for a heap of buggy things we have all encountered that have been inherited from other code within the project.

For those wondering about the new tech, its nothing like what anoncoin or zerovert was attempting. It is not an zerocoin implementation and does not come with the truckload of issues and risks that zerocoin harbors and is yet to overcome. It does not require a trusted setup with a key to "print all you want". Some people seem to be heavily confusing it with a zerocoin implementation without rsa modules, i can assure you it is not.

Thats not to say it isn't extremely difficult to implement, because apparently it has been far more difficult then first anticipated but its basically done now. I encourage everyone to be extremely patient with this release as it is a ground breaking implementation and stands to put an end to every other attempt so far to remove knowledge. The goal was/is to implement a solution that in a streamline way, ANYBODY can use it and not wait hours for a transaction or pay for it heavily.

The cryptography devs are finishing it off now and are trying to get all of the documentation together for it. They find it hard to finalise these papers when they have changed a few things regarding the tech. So again, please be really patient because once the public testnet is released the documentation will follow and SDCDev aka sdcoin aka rynomster will be here to answer all of your technical questions regarding it.
Thanks.
SDC is now a rising trend that more and more people pay attention to it.

Considering I get completely ignored on IRC now, I've resorted to this.

Since the update to the HTML5 wallet, the client refuses to open, every time.
I ran through a few options with SDCDev a while back but nothing helped.

Did anyone else have this issue of the client refusing to open?

If so how'd you fix it?

I just read the irc backlog, You seem to have gotten lost in a flow of conversation. Any way you can hop back in?
