I cannot store many altcoins with trezor or ledger nano s.what is the solution to store coins for long term that are not supported to trezor or ledger?

The most secure option would be to download a software wallet for every altcoin you own, run them on your private PC/laptop, and store your wallets there. You might want to backup your wallets to a flash drive or external hard drive in case of complete destruction of the PC. And of course, your wallets would be safer if you treat your computer very wisely regarding web browsing, p*rn watching etc.  Grin

I'm still hesitant on hardware wallets for fear of losing the thumbdrive.  I'm sure I'll eventually go that route though.

You'll be at peace of you do save your keys into the hardware wallets because that's what Cryptocurrency millionaires do around the world.
Is just like a literal wallet on your pocket but this time all of your assets are in that wallet.
As a holder of $30,000 plus of crypto assets, I world definitely get my own hardware wallet before someone could get into it.

Today, the more secure wallet are hardware wallets like Trezor and Nano S. They both quite popular and Cryptocurrency millionaires are currently using this hardware wallets because typically, crypto keys are saved in those device only and there would be no digital keys will be saved in any computer or cloud storage in order no one could see it or if someone hacked your computer, your phone or your cloud account, they will not get your digital keys or in any form that they could access your wallets and assets.

There isn't a hardware wallet that can meet such the demand anyway. Myetherwallet looks like the best in the net wallets, especially for the ico tokens. It can use for others such as hardware wallet, paper wallet, etc. The security issue is a big problem in the crypto world.

I have been using MyEtherWallet. Exodus, Agama, Cryptonator, Jaxx, and Coinomi are also some of the best wallets for altcoins. Waves light for waves based tokens.

Hardware wallets have very limited altcoin support.  You will basically need a software wallet.  I do like Coinomi as it also allows you to exchange via Shapeshift or Changelly for range of altcoins.

If the altcoin you want to hold or store for long term investment is not supported in your trezor or ledger nano s. better to use the official wallet for that specific cryptocurrency for better security of your coins but you will have to download the whole blockchain with that so you can also use multi asset wallet as an alternative. i will recommend using coinomi, jaxx or exodus.

I think with trezor or ledger nano s already fairly safe, yes I guess it will be safe. or you can add MEW wallet, I never had trouble with the wallet. all this time all went well and fine. only, sometimes experience a little disruption in the transaction. besides, everything is good.

To secure your altcoins if you using MEW in the first place you just have to import you private key on metamask so that all your tokens and funds will be transferred in the metamask. Metamask is a secured wallet which it can detect suspicious site like phishing and hacking accounts and if you want to use hardware wallet use ledger will be worth enough carrying all your funds in your pocket

If you can buy another trezor and ledger nano s wallets then buy some so you can store more other Altcoins because I really think that it is more safe to store on an offline or a cold storage wallet than most of website do, But if you don't have funds to some more of these wallets I really think printing out paper wallets and store it in a physical vault can guarantee safety from hackers, Well that is the only way I can think of because I am using ERC20 wallet for my tokens and a mobile application wallet for certain Altcoins that I have invested with.

I have been using MyEtherWallet for some time now to store both Ethereum and any of the ERC-20 tokens that I either purchase or obtain through ICO. It is pretty secure in my opinion as long as you have chosen a good password and are senseible enough to avoid phishing scams. You can add another layer of security with metamask if you choose.

I like MEW for ETH and my ERC20 tokens, Jaxx for Dash/LTC, and Blockchain.info for BTC/BCC.  Still looking for a good wallet for monero.  Any suggestions?
MEW : myetherwallet by the way. It is very popular but I can not say anything about its security I believe that it is secure
For Jaxx it became usefull in last 6 month with cooperation of shapeshift. It seems quite good.
For blockchain as far as I know it is safe

You can download the purses of all coins that are not supported in Tresor and Ledger nano S on the USB flash drive. Then transfer this information to a computer that has never connected to the Internet and will never be connected to it. Create offline transactions there and transfer them via a USB flash drive to a computer that is connected to the Internet.

MEW is undoubtedly the best storage for tokens on the basis of ERC20. In addition, there is the possibility of authorization through your Trezor or Ledger that significantly improves the security of your wallet.
