You own the pen
This is where you going to gamble and your money but with a high chance of winning since you have already done your own research about a certain project. My honest advice is to do it and spend only the money you can afford to lose since it is a pre-sale, they are selling it for an affordable price and you will surely get back your capital when they get listed.

Just to get some experience in investing in pre-sales, you need to do it right now, and with that experience, you can use it in the future which others have been doing all this time and they are successful with that. some of my friends back then when we had telegram groups made the right decision on buying tokens from pre-sales because it's a win-win situation for them because they spent not just to gather experience but to collect as much as they can and guess what? most of the tokens they bought were successful and they got huge amounts of income because of that.

A Bitcoiner chooses. A slave obeys.
over 90% of pre-market tokens/coins flop and lose all value. If you are buying then make sure to do your own research on the project and decide whether or not the project has a future. And do not invest a large amount of money.

Don't put all your eggs into one basket, as they say.

Biggest pro is buying at lower market price than how much when it is released to the public or listed on the market. However, cons is not having any guarantee whether your money will multiply or not. There are projects with good potential but still ends up in bad outcome. Reason is of course the demand. If the campaign of the project won't be that good to attract initial investors then it would be hard to expect that the project will be recognized and generate big demand from the market. Also the idea is that the market in general is way too unpredictable.

Another cons is being a victim of fraud or scam. Nuying on pre-sale means you trusted the project but what if it turn out to be a rugged one? Meaning, they really have no plans for long term development of the project; they just want to get early investors' money and jusy leave everything behind, afterwards.

It's always about risk and reward.

Buying per-market tokens, you're buying the tokens in cheaper price, because when the token already listed in centralized exchange, those people who bought the token in pre-market will dump it.

If you buy the token when it's already listed, you might make as much as the early holders.

Pre market literally you're just betting on the future outcome of project listing with minimal information, i still remembered when blast is having pre market and the total supply wasn't disclosed, it was floating around $5-$3 and suddenly it went to $0.035 once the total supply was disclosed and it was about 100 billion blast.
there are so many people complaining feeling like they've been cheated since they instantly lost all the money at the time of TGE. though i don't know whether the pre market trading in many exchange was cancelled eventually.

IMO it was good when pre market was still new thing in the market, right now, most of the project that have pre market ironically have lower price than the pre market ones. ZK tanks below pre market, blast, and other coins, enough reason for me to avoid this thing.

Thanks for your input, I really appreciate it. I will avoid pre markets for now

I just want to express that every scenario can play out like you break even, lose money, make a profit. Any form of marketing that revolves around a project that receives a lot of publicity, competition is expected to be fierce and similarly there will be opposing cases.

I have also seen some pre but honestly I don't intend to be exposed to that, based on the price I think the official listing price will also be around the area.

So there is nothing too specific that guarantees the project will take place according to a scenario, let's speculate on different cases that you can accept or just as a reference.

Thank you for sharing your thoughtful perspective. You're absolutely right about the unpredictability of investments and the importance of considering different scenarios.

I'm currently exploring pre-market trading and learning about various platforms, including Bitget's pre-market. The listing of NotCoin there caught my attention, though I understand that past successes don't necessarily predict future outcomes. Pre-market trading appears to offer advantages such as early access and contract-based trading, but I'm aware that there are also risks involved. I'm carefully evaluating all factors before making any decisions.

What are your experiences with buying tokens in pre-market? Any success stories or cautionary tales?
Pre-market is a stupid thing. Be cautious when you buy tokens in the premarket prior to the release of tokenomic.

Is it generally wiser to wait for official exchange listings, or can pre-market purchases offer significant advantages?
It's not wiser than buy in the exchange site directly. Pre market is a speculation market.
What additional risks should I be aware of when considering pre-market purchases?
Buyt tokens in the pre-market before the tokenomic release is pretty much the same like gambling.

For those who've done both, how do you compare the potential gains/losses of pre-market vs. post-listing purchases?
I'd prefer buy on the spot than pre-market because the potential gains are higher. Sometimes the pre-market price is inflated due to FOMO.

Pre-Market is just full of small buying orders with inflated price, this doesn't reflect the real price at all, just see most of the pre-market available in the big exchange always bunch of small buy order probably to deviate people perception of how much the coin actual worth really is.

to buy the coin in that stage is disaster for your investment, better wait a little bit and find out the real price, when coin gets listed, the first minutes are full of price swing anyway you can figure out the bottom and start buying from there.

pre-market as far as I know only good for people that just want to reserve price to sell their bags with the disadvantage of needing to put money as a collateral.

it's always disaster for investor/buyer of the pre-market. you ain't gonna be making something from this hugely manipulated market. just be patient men and trade in the real market with real liquidity and real data.

Hello fellow crypto fam,
I've been in the crypto space for a while, but I'm venturing into new territory and could use some community wisdom. I'm considering buying a token in the pre-market phase for the first time, and I'd appreciate your thoughts.
There's a Layer 3 project that's caught my eye. I've researched their whitepaper and I'm impressed with the team's vision. The token is currently available on a major pre-market platform before its official exchange listing.
My questions to the community:

What are your experiences with buying tokens in pre-market? Any success stories or cautionary tales?
Is it generally wiser to wait for official exchange listings, or can pre-market purchases offer significant advantages?
What additional risks should I be aware of when considering pre-market purchases?
For those who've done both, how do you compare the potential gains/losses of pre-market vs. post-listing purchases?

I value the collective knowledge here on Bitcoin Talk, and I'm eager to hear your honest opinions. Your insights could really help me (and perhaps others) make a more informed decision.
Thanks in advance for your input!
