I am just waiting when the OP will come back on this forum and in his next post will ask for some bitcoin payment to strengthen the
U.S. Government special division.
I wonder where these people come up with these new ideas  Huh

He's just trolling he will never go back in this forum since people already know that he's not damn serious on what he ask here and also its so questionable on why an agent will go here while the fact is they have all the resources to track down the criminals online or even offline for sure they will not need any help of forum members unless if the crime committed here and there are people can able to help him locate the criminals exact location.

Did you receive any email reply yet from Mr. Wolfgang?
Nope.
3 days later: still nope! So either this email address isn't monitored, or I'm just being ignored. In that case it may have been taken through official government channels, as impersonating a federal government employee seems like a serious crime.

My best guess -

The email and bitcointalk account are from the real owner, but his email was somehow compromised, so the imposter can reset the details and gain access to his bitcointalk account.
The phone number is not from the real owner and was registered with a fake name by the imposter, that's why when people do reverse search, it shows as the real owner's name.
The email is a work email, and it is not going to remain compromised for an extended period of time. Anyone can create a bitcointalk forum handle of anything they want, so the bitcointalk account may or may not be compromised. I think there is a high probability the phone number actually belongs to the person the OP is claiming to be.
So no matter people try to contact the person via email or phone call, it will all ended up answered by the imposter.
OP said he will share his personal ID via video call, but it's impossible to do a video call via email or a regular phone call.
You can facetime with both an email and a phone number. Ditto with other video call services.

Another red flag: The real Wolfgang Kainz is a biomed researcher who merely works for the FDA (Linkedin).
The OP's claimed email address clearly indicates he works for the FDA.:

Never a boring day in bitcointalk forum  Cheesy
I guess this ''agent'' was working undercover since December 2018.

First time I've seen such a thing on Bitcointalk.  Cheesy

There are several articles and documents on the official fda.gov website which include the contact information mentioned by the OP, so I assume the information is valid. Nevertheless, this doesn't mean the real dr. Wolfgang Kainz is the author of this post; therefore, it will be interesting to see what response (if any) NotATether and LoyceV get. It is very difficult to imagine how the FDA can possibly be involved with "tracing cyber criminals involved in cryptocurrency theft".

Let me know how much I can get if I give you a criminal impersonating a government official.
I guess person doing that would get minimum few years in federal prison, or mental institution if it is proven he was insane.

That's the main reason I sent an email, to let him know someone is impersonating him.

I don't need to see your government ID, just proving your email is real is enough.

Hmm, ...

Would anyone be this stupid to actually use that email for ....what?
Other than landing the real guy into some kind of trouble, I don't see any reason to do what he is doing here. Oh, trolling, of course!

He seems SmallRabbit to me most likely.
And what I think he's doing is.. is checking if he gets any case info about his real account "SmallRabbit" Mostly the proof Roysey777 talked about she gathered.

I don't think someone would go that far writing in that style. Also, a scammer trying to get info on another scammer through the source they scammed and blackmail them for money.

Another red flag: The real Wolfgang Kainz is a biomed researcher who merely works for the FDA (Linkedin).

He also has a twitter: I will try pinging him to bring this to his attention, and see whether he is the real author or if this is an impostor.

Linkedin would've been a better option but his DMs are locked to connections.

Pre-emptive red tag nonetheless, as I know the writing styles of researchers and it's highly unlikely to be him (judging by his PM and second post)

I have no idea if the OP is who he says he is. The telephone number and email address appear to be associated with the person who the OP says he is. This person appears to work for the FDA, and I am not sure why the FDA would be investigating anything to do with bitcoin, or even most crimes (the only crimes they investigate are those related to products the FDA regulates).

The person the OP claims to be does not appear to work in the law enforcement side of the FDA. I think there is a chance the OP is actually trying to get people to harass the person he is claiming to be by posting his contact information.

There are a number of private entities that I believe contract with government law enforcement agencies that help with the types of problems the OP claims to need help investigating. One of the well-known companies is chainanalysis.

My best guess -

The email and bitcointalk account are from the real owner, but his email was somehow compromised, so the imposter can reset the details and gain access to his bitcointalk account.

OP said he will share his personal ID via video call, but it's impossible to do a video call via email or a regular phone call.
So my best guess is that the person will make up a story and says it's a top secret video call so you need to pay a certain fee to access it, blah blah blah.

Or maybe the real owner has his IDs stored in his email, so when his email is compromised, so are the IDs.
So when you do video call with the imposter, he will show you the stolen IDs to gain your trust.

Really US Government pays in Bitcoin nowadays? Cheesy

the second one is me. i can't reveal why FDA
You tried so hard to use Caps in your first post, now you just look like the typical uneducated scammer. Did you only hire a writer for your first post?

I reported OP's spam in another topic yesterday. He posted this:
i also don't know how to prove that i am what i am
If only there would be a government website with your profile where you could add your Bitcointalk username.

I think there is a chance the OP is actually trying to get people to harass the person he is claiming to be by posting his contact information.

His writing style is similar to a scammer himself: https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/small-rabbit-2860610

blah blah

Typing in caps in the middle of a sentence just as Small Rabbit used to do while using "i" instead of "I", the standard.

I've send you an email. Please respond to it Smiley

Interesting, let's see if an expected reply arrives Smiley

Damn the US Government special division is seeking help from bitcointalk users...good stuff, i guess the recent budget cuts were tough

 Grin Grin Underrated comment.

If the guy was real for once, he would have given more details about how they expect the community to help instead putting all the focus on proving himself legit and real. It's still not clear what he wants from the community.

I don't know what this guy is playing at but he definitely acts like a teenager who's just gotten access to the Internet and not like a very stable genius doctor:

"Services, but you're probably just wasting your time."

Sorry, this is not a full sentence. You a probably one of those chubby, stinky, sweaty, ugly, short geeks sitting all day behind the screen, dreamin of being a cool guy and watching a lot of porn, because you are too scared to talk to girls. you probably even have acne, and you are rude and stupid. you are everything except hilarious. you are a sad creature and you mom probably forgot to abort you in time. now the entire world has to deal with someone who should have been aborted. you are disgusting!

once my identity is confirmed i will recommend you removal.

so, what das rude retard hilariousandco needs to have my identity confirmed so i can talk to the bitcoin community? what would i gain from such a scam? don't be so silly. we are looking for help and even offering a reward if we can catch these assholes ruining lives and businesses!

MORE INFO ABOUT FWPP & CSSA.

everything is out in the public domain. just google 'wolfgang kainz fda' und you find everything you need to know. what's you don’t known is that i am also member of a fairly new, and not yet well known, special enforcement team working for the Free Will Protection Program or FWPP; I am the Assistant Director of FWPP. please google it, there is no official website for obvious reasons, but i found it mentioned on prison websites were criminals we caught talked about FWPP (under President Obama it was called the Cyber Security & Safety Administration or CSSA (i am sure you have heard of the CSSA!). we are decentralized Agency within DHS (Department of Homeland Security) and most of us work under cover. Most have cover government positions, like i 'officially' work for FDA. FWPP was initiated by Donald Trump to 'clean up' the government (you have heard him rumbling about fake news, etc...) and to clean up the internet. too much information is out there in all kind of social media and every crazy guy can trigger a wave of fear by spreading false or misconstrued information, you would call it bull-shit (BS). ... and then there are the scammers and hackers ruining lives of people or even shut down entire gas pipelines. i worked on this project: Colonial Pipeline ransomware attack, if you want to know more please see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colonial_Pipeline_ransomware_attack. i was also the lead investigator for: https://www.computerweekly.com/news/252481865/IT-services-company-Cognizant-warns-customers-after-Maze-ransomware-attack.

please send me your email and i will send you the Prosecuting Computer Crimes Computer manual i wrote, i will send it from [email protected], or do you think it is possible to spoof a govermnet email without getting caught. yes, it is poissible, but it will not take long and we will get you! the book i wrote is used by Federal prosecutors for training and law enforcement purposes. The contents of this book provide internal suggestions to Department of Justice attorneys. it is integral part of the Free Will Protection Program (FWPP) which started under President Trump. i am the lead author of this document and very familiar with almost everything in there. i highly recommend reading the 213 pages! it's encrypted and confidential (please do not distribute it), pw: ilyasssimou. i am well experienced in quantum computing and cryptology. part of my PhD thesis was in multi-dimensional cryptology, e.g., double-helix cryptology like our DNA, and quantum cryptology. we don't have the world's best with quantum computer with 256 qubits (an overview you can find here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_quantum_computing_and_communication) but the FWPP team has access to several quantum computers; the most powerful machine i have access to is a very stable 32 qubit q-computer (not yet the 265 from IBM, but it does what we need to do). no, we can't crack private codes from cryptocurrencies (for two newer cryptocurrencies we were actually successful and able to crack the private keys, but only because of a poor implementation of the blockchain). simple PGP and VPN (depending on which one it is) can be compromised with the quantum computer i have access to and we can listen to VPN connections, PGP, trace VPN connections to the original location, etc.
