Nice to see some article about how selfkey will work. I’m impatient to start using the selfkey wallet, it will be really usefull and will simplify KYC application. Im sure many ico will use selfkey services in the future.

Hope to see lots of partnerships/use cases soon

Selfkey is one of the project which could be so useful to many institutions : private but also public. Even in countries which are very organised it could help a lot.

For each project, I have to go through the KYC process over and over again which is quite irritating and time-consuming. Hope selfkey will help in overcoming this issue.

I think that is the plan!  Grin Get your money ready to invest

The advantage of this project is that the documents are stored on the user's device. That is, this system satisfies the laws of those countries where it is forbidden to store confidential data of citizens outside the country. Recently I thought about it, and I think it's still a clever solution for Selfkey.

Yes, this is a great solution as long as the user has some private keys that they can back up and store. The last thing we need is a user's device getting destroyed or stolen and everything is gone.

Tell me, how will you verify the identity of a person when registering a wallet? How will the fake data be identified?

Please refer to this Blogpost on how the transmission and verification of ID Data works in the SelfKey Ecosystem:

Thank you very much. I have not seen this article before, I understand the principle of network operation. But the question remained the same) how to verify the authenticity of the data that the person indicated when registering.

Great blog post, it clearly lines out, that storing delicate client info and security breaches into these storages are constantly happening. Luckily they now do have a solution to that problem!

wether the data is correct or not is a good question. Can they somehow check with governments regarding the issued identification documents?

We are excited to announce that already 12 Mio $ worth of KEY Tokens were sold in the Public Pre-Sale.

Pre-sale is doing pretty amazing

Yup! everything is going great!

If the pre-sale keeps going with this speed, it will easily reach the pre-sale cap before Dec 24th.

Yes, it is looking like it will.

And even it can get its hard cap too with that momentum.

It is nice that people acknowledging how good is a project.

Will you be able to accept (old style) paper ID card, or only digital ID cards or passport will be accepted?

I don't see a problem if you scan a paper ID card and send it.

That's how it's done these days, you scan it - you send it. We are not that advanced yet to have digital IDs and passports broadly issued and used.

Thanks for the article, good explanation how SelfKey works. But, taking your example, how does the bank know that the passport does belong to you and isn't e.g. stolen? When opening a bank account nowadays you have to legitimize yourself by appearing in person in the bank.
