When the price falls, I usually hold my bitcoin. When the price rises, it is possible to sell a part of the altcoin to buy more profits. That's what I did. I hope my advice will help you.

Theres no strategy when falling,its about you on what is your plan with the coins in the folio,if you wanted to stop the loss the sell it all on the spot,but if you believe that the price will recover soon,and theres a time for you to keep patient and calm..i think better to hold it all and wait for rebound
We can do one more thing when your coin price is falling check you are in profit or not suppose if you are in more than 20% profit then sell it and when the price will stable if you want to buy back at a low price you can buy. or else just hold your coins don't do anything if you can convert it into usdt for short time and save your profit.

For altcoin some of it has no potential so maybe I will sell those coins which I think has no potential in the future and hold those have high potentials. Holding altcoin is not easy to do especially if you bought them at high price and then you need to wait for long in order to earn from that coin. Holding need a big patient so for me I will choose those high potential coins to remain in my wallet and sell those less potential. 
Selling for short term trade and holding for long term investments may depends on the performance of the altcoins. For a safer reasons it is better to divide it into two options to prevent FUD,FOMO and regrets like 50 percent sell and 50 percent hold. Due to its volatility this is the better strategy to win with your altcoins but sell what you can afford to lose and hold what you can afford to wait.
it is difficult to speak in general about the crypto currency, because much depends on the specific coin you hold. Although, in general I would not sell coins now.

currently, I still have more cash. and I want to hold my Altcoin for the future. because I want to get a bigger profit for the future. besides by holding it able to increase the price quickly.

hold back and buy again some altcoin you have to cover up losses on past investments.
or you can sell it if there is no way to keep it. there are many possibilities and speculations you can do about crypto. I think experience is important when the occurrence of accidents in any decline.
Honestly it just really depends if you need the money or not.

mostly just holding coins at this point. Selling is not an option right now even though the price are recovering I still have not hit my target which means I will not be selling off my coins at least not just yet. I plan to hold onto all of the altcoins I have for now, maybe buy in to some other coins when the prices go down again. I am just feeling a bit wary of the market right now so I'll just wait.
At a time of declining prices, holding into the best option in my opinion. to avoid losses and to avoid losing the money you invest.
Selling altcoins during the dip is not appropriate instead buy more if you still can especially on tokens you get from good ICO's because sooner or later that token price will increase if you hold it in 2 or 3 months time.
When the market is in decline like this there are only 2 very good ways to use, 1. i will buy altcoin that is going down, 2. i hold my altcoin, i think, at this time it is not right to sell altcoin.

when the price is going down, I prefer hold it. I donnt want to lose a lot, because I believe the market will rise soon. it is my opinion.
I sell to fiat before market is down and i buy the dip once market is down so that I can hold more coins.

no i dont sale when price goes down that time i try to hold my coin and again reinvest that time .
For now I am holding at that time when the market is down and I still hold my coins because I believe in crypto. At the moment we have to do have to hold the coins because the price is down I'm sure that this market will grow big so selling now will make you regret later is to hold back the market conditions to rise again.
I am holding my alt coins until they reach a predetermined target. When they reach it, i sell a predetermined amount of that stack.
You hold the coin. It will rise eventually. Thats the market rule. If you want you can trade. Depends if the up and down suits to your budget that youll gain reasonably or just hold until the price for is right but this may be a longer time.
