Yes all down right now. But the right timing to sell your alt when the bitcoin rise (because all altcoins rise too) keep it and when bitcoin price down hurry to buy it. But for me the price of bitcoin still expensive better invest in eth that we still can reach the price. If you sell altcoin when the price down and direct buying bitcoin you will get profit loss. Better hold, sell when high, hold the cash, when the price down buy the btc.

You should hold your btc,but buy some cheap alts if you bought yesterday you probably +50% of as of now.
If you know the trade game of crypto, then it's not a bad idea since the price of Bitcoin went down. I suggest to not go all out with your alts. Save a little bit more so you can have something to go back to. Once bitcoin's price go back to normal, you can exchange again for more alts. That's what other traders do when it comes to price drops of bitcoin.
In my opinion it is no a good idea if you sell all your altcoin while the price is down, the best way you can take is holding until the price back to normal again. But if still get the profit whenever you sell altcoin, i think it is a good deal

By looking for the price, I think btc is good for investing at the current rate. All of the altcoins movement are depending from btc's price, so this will be good.

Yes this is the right time to buy bitcoin but selling alts is optional you can choose your alts that has a small potential and keep the others. that has a big possibilities to get profits.

I think this is why the market price is falling, everyone is freaking out selling their altcoin so that it affects market prices and all markets are down, so I suggest not to panic about selling your altcoin because its risk is very bad for other coin market.
this will trigger altcoin to go deeper without any chance to back increase but fortunately, today I see the altcoin trying to increase again after yesterday is the red candle. and besides that, bitcoin price giving good progress to increase and now we are trying to reach higher than yesterday. I hope the bitcoin price will still increase and the altcoin will follow to increase too.

Wise thing would be, hold all your coins you have and invest and buy bitcoins. This is the time to buy not only bitcoins but also other top altcoins. When 5hey are cheap crap them. Current situation may be worst, but this is making a way to gain more profits. All the best.

Selling alts for bitcoin.... what is the benefit?
Lets say you have 100k xCoins and you will sale @ 1 sats each.. Total you will get BTC0.001 even in the btc dip or even at the btc peak. isn't it?
Whatever the situation is, ultimately you will get that much btc for as much alts you hodl according to the price.
But if you want to put fiat for btc now than it would be right action to do it, if I am not wrong.

Your idea is sound as now satoshi value is very low and if we sell our altcoins now to convert it in btc and when bitcoin start rising, we get more value of satoshi and then many altcoins dropped.
If you're holding decent top 100 coins,I think you will be alright. I do think that all the "shitcoins" and x20 or x30 pumped ico's will not recover.

Not a good idea actually. You should wait for yhe alts to increase their prices and then take the aim as much profitabe bitcoin as you want. But, dont go all the way, try to save some of your alt coins for future purposes.
I would hodl and not sell. Selling is what is partly responsible for this big drop as panic gets in the new investor and they want to cut their losses. Believe me, I do want to cut my losses but am taking the advice of several friends that have been doing this for several years and have made a lot of money. Just hodl, dont panic and wait for a recovery.
if you sell coins that will potentially increase in price after this dump then you will be very sorry. so make sure that the coins you sell are bad coins.
I do not think there's any point in you selling all your altcoins and buying bitcoin because altcoin prices are also down, so there's no point in selling your altcoin and buying bitcoin (in my opinion)
Okay if you have an option to sell all the alt coins you hold and to buy a bitcoin instead I do strongly recommend you to do it. Pretty soon the BTC is going back to the top and you can hit a million.
