You already lose a lot so why don't you just hold and ride the storm, selling right now is a bad move especially if you are losing, the price will recover when the crash ended. If you have spare cash then it's the right time to fill your bag with coins that you like because it's on sale right now, great project will recover after this while the bad one will keep dying.

for me now is the best opportunity to buy coins which are priced low, hold on to them until prices will rise again. remember it is still January there are a lot of months to hold on to those coins until it reaches the maximum peak and get huge profits. But if you are one of those who bought coins in a much higher price then just hold on to those coins until you can break it even or get a little profit.
Buying for fiat money would be the moment now.

There are 4 options:
1. as u said sell alts for btc.
2. sell btc for alts
3. just hold
4. no investing.
i think no.4 is not recommended because you will miss a great opportunity. no.3 is good if u want to be safer. atm no.1 and 2 are both good equal options.
No sense in doing so, as the 'down' prices you are talking about is compared to USD.

Regardless of your experience in crypto, we have to follow a pattern of success, by observing the market, about 300 billion was withdrawn, knowing thereof, what to do? It will depend on your portfolio and earnings goals, if are bold and sell your altcoins and buy Bitcoin expect increase and repurchase with more weight your altcoins sold is a breakthrough and so much. Thinking is the way.
We al have been experiencing lack of hope for all prices but try to hold it mate even though prices are dump, dont sell alts for bitcoin, because if prices will be back, you have more options.

I think not a good idea. First that must be put to consider is what kind of altcoins you are holding? If do you think all of it are not good for keeping it long maybe selling it is the good move, but if these are potential altcoins better not to sell. Sometimes having altcoins is more profitable than bitcoin because of being too much expensive.
If you have a small minus will be from this sale, then you can sell, then it will be cheaper to rebuild. If there is a big minus, then you should not sell. Wait until the correction is over and prices start to rise.
Don't be hasty with your decisions. The reason prices drop so much when there is a bloodbath like this is exactly that - people panicking and selling everything as they suddenly believe it will all lose value. Hold you nerve, stop looking at coinmarketcap and go outside for a bit! It wont last and all the true coins with value will have a surge in a week or two.

Sell? If anything buy more and hold on to what you got! At least that's what I'd do, gotta wait for the crash to pass by and then you can sell high.
I think now the market in whipsaws. High quality assets will stick to the end in this round. Inferior assets will withdraw from the market. So, as much as possible to have and hold worth investing in the encrypted currency.
Why should I sell my alts now? I would just loose money. Hold and buy more if you got the money!

I'd recommend just being patient and wait for the coins to go up again. Don't be reckless.

No you have nothing to do with your altcoins and bitcoin just hold on and wait for the right time comes i think it takes a month before will back to normal price, if you are going to sell that know you have already your lost be patience and hold don't panic when the price was down. Besides if you have enough now a fund it's better invest them all while the price was dump in the crypto marketcap. Grab these opportunities now.
But still the decision is your's.
If the price is higher than that you buy, it is a good idea. If not, i think you hd better hold them. Though it is a good time to buy bitcoin, it still needs a lot of money to buy enough. And if you will lose you money by selling the alts, it's not a good idea.
