If you have free Bounty tokens, would you sell at a loss? It can have advantages or disadvantages to sell at a loss: to avoid more loss but also to realises losses.

Personally I would wait for a better overall crypto market and sell later, because it's a bear market right now. If price rises again you can make a better profit and get more money back per coin if you wait and sell later. Market recovery will be positive to many good projects.

What's your strategy to make most profits now?

Well, I have a altcoins that are stored in my wallet and personally I don't have any intention of selling it right now, yeah they are cheap right now but we can't remove the fact that they have a possibility to pump as uptrend comes. I would rather to wait than just sell it at a loss. Actually, it wasn't a loss because if you a bounty hunter you could get those coins without investing any single penny out of it.

Yes, I mean. There is no loss when you sell at a loss because you didn't invest single penny on those projects so you are more likely free to do so. Most of the projects are likely to get dumped after few weeks getting listed so it's fine to sell it.

Unless you want to do short trade to maximize profit is not a bad idea either.

sometimes I feel bounty betrays me,
when I sold at a loss, a month later he increased by more than 30%.
so whatever choice we make depends on luck and how the hype is made by the project.
I think you should feel relaxed and think it's a normal lottery game, don't feel the bounty has betrayed you or doesn't support you because we cannot know when we will be lucky or when our token will increase, as in your case, it increases to 30% after you sell but it's a good token, if it drops 30%, you will continue to regret that problem again. In general, you don't make the wrong decisions, don't tie yourself to perfect decisions, this life needs to know how to be satisfied, the loss is incorrect, it is just less profitable than usual

I was given 550 MDAB for article bounty. I didn't sell when all worth $22. I had a different mindset for it. Until a week ago, I woke up to see it worth over $300 in my wallet. Then I sold. a day after I sold it, MDAB fell so bad and back to square 1, even got removed from Coingecko. So, i made the right decision. I also believe God was on my side.

I have two different coins i got in bounty now the price are so cheap. So that i hold it hoping that someday the price will goes up.
That bounty i got almost a year but until now the price is not yet recover.
I also have tokens that has cheap value currently, but when I got it from the bounty that I participated in a year ago the price is quite decent to sell but I chose to hold. Its because I believe in this token and the team behind it, up to now there's a progress in their project but still its not the time to sell because the value is too low. I cant say I made the wrong decision to hold since its my own will but somehow I have this regret of not selling before.
Now is no longer a moment for us to hold a token of nearly 90% of bounty projects when market listing prices are disappointing. they experienced a significant reduction in prices between the worst 50-90%. It's not a shocking thing, but now many dead projects make me trust more to sell it when I get paid

You can learned from your mistakes that old token that the price alreay falldown is really hard or almost impossible to comeback because many new projects upcoming everyday.
So investors won't look back at the fall down tokens, they are hunting the new tokens that has potential to grow, so i think old tokens with fall down price are impossible to to rise up because crypto competition is hard

Sometimes you'll never know whether it is the right choice to sell coins straight away from the distribution.
If you are earning the coins through airdrops then there is nothing to worry but the problem lies if you are investing money in these shitty projects and none of the projects gave a profit as far as i know. There might be projects that gave returns but i am not aware of those.

I've experience both of variants sometimes even selling on DEX exchanges not waiting for listing cause thought that the project would never be listed and this tactics of course failed some times.
But mostly it failed when I've hoddled a bag of crap waiting for something bright.
Majority will be holding a lot of crap coins and so is the issue and having an optimistic view is good but do not give much hope in the shit coins as you wont get any benefit even if the entire market rallies.
I gave up airdrops long time ago, one of the best for me were Semux and EthGas (that died now but I managed to sell good) and missed a lot of good drops.
Concerning bounty among more than 100 projects I went into nearly 10-15 of them bore fruit but ofc they didn't reach ICO or even pre-ICO price.

I now when I get my bounty payment I no longer trust holding it. because so many losses are obtained later on. what we expect when holding is an advantage but it is precisely the loss that is obtained when we hold the token bounty results. trust has already decreased for hold tokens

In 2017, holding bounty tokens is really worth it because almost altcoin has risen and almost every new altcoins/token have many new investors.
But token from bounty nowadays once it get a big drop, they won't recover because investors are finding the next new ICO token because they knew they will be a new project every week or month
I think the best decision you can make is depending on the prospects and potential you see about the project, if the project has good development and a lot of funds and is likely to be able to buy back their tokens after listing, then I think you should wait for the right time and not sell it when they are trying to raise the price of their tokens on the market. However, if you are following a project that has very poor development in their project, then holding their tokens for a long time is not the right choice.

Bounty tokens are tokens that we generate from our work participating in Bounty project campaigns. And the work requires time and energy to do it, so I took the initiative to sell the Bounty token when the token has value, so that I can benefit from our work.
if we understand well the actual loss generated is only time if the capital is not too loss and many investors are terrified that will be obtained if investors before starting to follow the bounty know and understand with all the risks that will be obtained by selling our tokens and take advantage of opportunities to get profits

I now when I get my bounty payment I no longer trust holding it. because so many losses are obtained later on.
because of this, we will definitely miss the opportunity to get huge profits, I once sold a token that I got on the day I got the token, but 3 weeks later the price of the token rose 1000x
if we hold those coins we would have possibility to lose even 100x too, so we must consider be carefully

Quote
I think, HODL the token/coin for a while is a good step
in this time, i dont agree with this idea. many coins are down makes us affraid of holding coins
additionally, the coin which we hold is new coin, new coin hasnt got trusted. so it increases the risk we would get

During my activity in the cryptocurrency market, I managed to earn a lot of coins thanks to the Bounty company.  Since 2016, several dozen tokens are in my wallets, but almost all of them are not traded on exchanges.  Of course, I understand that in past years quite a lot of ico companies were fraudulent, but today, when control is higher in relation to a new project, coins after listing are still ten times cheaper than the price set by the developers.  In this situation, I personally am in difficulty because I do not want to sell what I spent on my personal funds or earned.  But how long to wait for an improvement in their pricing is almost impossible to predict.

this year many bounty tokens have good prices only in the first week after listing on the market, and there are always doubts from holders afterwards. I chose to trade it the first time the market opened to reduce losses and to be on the alert for a variety of emerging potentials.
I have not seen any good projects in a very long time and after all the scams projects majority stopped looking in the market too, if you find any good projects then it is good for you and we have to expect that the bounty tokens are created to make money even for the investors and the project creator as well and hence you must think twice before getting into it.

If listing in a small market, the price range is very far and this condition can produce good profits. I have always been involved with their community, if it is still positive, I will not hesitate not to panic in selling it.
The good projects are really few in numbers and that is the biggest challenge, i invested a few bucks here and there and i made some profits and i was able to profit it before the market went down but majority of the coins are with me and it looks like i will be a bag holder.

the tokens came for free (not exactly free as they need work), so in theory they will not be at a loss...
but I understand what you are asking about... I choose to hold instead of selling for pennies, and then, the 5% that actually get something to work start to value and pay for the others...

Yes, those tokens are not free at all. Bounty hunting takes huge time, and passion to fill all the task on daily basis. Therefore, after end of the campaign, you have to wait for the KYC, then distribution time and then you have to wait for exchange listing to exchange your tokens to money! Everyone thinks, bounty hunter does a very easy work, but when they start doing it for months, they would realize how tough it is to maintain everything!

And, I think if the team seems dedicated to the project and prosut then you may hold that token, otherwise, you can sell without looking at a loss.
