Better sell them even at loss than get nothing at all, because bounty tokens now are useless and they don’t even climb the price instead almost all are dying
I now when I get my bounty payment I no longer trust holding it. because so many losses are obtained later on. what we expect when holding is an advantage but it is precisely the loss that is obtained when we hold the token bounty results. trust has already decreased for hold tokens
That’s it the moment you get the payments sell them all out unless it’s very promising, because based on my experience from 2018 all of the tokens I accumulate is almost dead by now
I dont call it lost you only have this for participating in bounty and thats was your payment . is just the amount you recieve is lower than expected bounty want to recieve . But its not lost the one who lost is those investors in ICO not the bounty hunters.

It is a bad time for bounties compared to the good old days of 2017. This is not the fault of the projects themselves, but a consequence of the market trend. The insane hype and everything hitting hardcap and ICOs selling out within minutes has gone now, that is a thing of the past. Perhaps it is better now as sales are more realistic. Yes prices tend to drop when the coins hit exchanges, so I think it is a good idea to choose bounty campaigns not for the rewards they say they offer (which are usually dependent on hitting hardcap, which rarely happens now), but instead choose them purely on the basis of whether you think it is a solid long-term project. That way your coins will retain some value, and you will get some return for your bounty work.

because of this, we will definitely miss the opportunity to get huge profits, I once sold a token that I got on the day I got the token, but 3 weeks later the price of the token rose 1000x

I think, HODL the token/coin for a while is a good step

It depends on the project if the project is great then hold otherwise sell you bounty coins when you get them, the reason is once the distribution starts almost all bounty hunters sell their tokens so price dump and it will take few days sometime few months or years to stable. So i think there is no loss for bounty hunter if they sell token at the low price it is just bad luck.

this year many bounty tokens have good prices only in the first week after listing on the market, and there are always doubts from holders afterwards. I chose to trade it the first time the market opened to reduce losses and to be on the alert for a variety of emerging potentials.

If listing in a small market, the price range is very far and this condition can produce good profits. I have always been involved with their community, if it is still positive, I will not hesitate not to panic in selling it.

There are many things should be considered before sell/buy bounty tokens :

1. project, how good the project is? are there many opportunities? if yes, then hold

2. community, how big community is? if big, so it has more opportunity

3. market condition, see others crypto, if there are blood market, so sell the coins.

but to sell the coins you have, you also need to wait for the right moment to get a big profit. It is true, that most tokens always decrease after listing on the market. but, I suggest waiting for a pretty good price. Well, I also don't recommend holding bounty tokens that don't have any development in the long run. it's just that, there will be a point where the price of the token will be good enough to sell. keep watching price on market.

Unfortunately, the biggest amount of bounty programmes is ending scam. The few of them that are distributing rewards, cannot keep their price stable, which leads to a massive token price drop, even before hunters are getting their rewards.
The scammers are using these bounty to reach more people to extend their level of scam and there is nothing we can do about that, if you make a decision to advertise only legit projects with good teams then we will see a turn around in this situation and the problem is legit teams will not advertise their projects as they will be having seed investors.

Learn from some experience where when I save a token that I got from the bounty and hope the price will go up high, but the fact that the token that  I saved  has become trash or dead coins, so now, I will sell at any price that my token get from a bounty payment because it's better to get less money than nothing. Honestly now it is very risk for us to save the bounty project token for a long time.

What else should hunters do, when every third project cannot collect enough funds, or fails to keep the price stable? If the price is dropped by -x10, it would be extremely hard to stabilise it again, especially on such a market.

As you said, it's a free token. Whether you sell it at low or high price, you don't have capital for it so its still a profit.
I don't think op knows the meaning of 'selling at a loss' in the context of acquiring free tokens, or ones earned through bounties for that matter.  The question is basically meaningless unless you purchased those tokens.

Me?  If I either got an airdrop or some tokens through a bounty I'd probably sell them as soon as I could, regardless of the price.  Since most ICOs are scams and churn out useless tokens, there's no logical reason to hold onto them, hoping for a higher price.  You'd have to be a chump to do that.

Actually if you think deeper you are not losing money compared to those who have invested.
You don't have to think much deeper.  You just have to not be an idiot.

selling at a loss is not a strategy but rather forced, maybe they think the price of the token has fallen too deep, so they are forced to sell it actually they still have a chance to hold it but still have the risk the price will not rise, to avoid it they sell it and try to recover it if possible .
I know that the bounty token does not cost money to get it but still it's worth it because you work to get it.

When we joined in bounty campaign and we know the market situation is not good, we can already expect the price if the coins will be listed in exchange.
90% of more, the coins will drop below its IEO or ICO price and therefore we should decide whether we will sell it or not and of course we can do it if we think that the price somehow satisfy us, as the payment of our effort promoting the project.

Actually all bounty hunters or investors will not sell the coins in losses. However, market conditions are not good and they also have a living cost. Like I sell coins at cheap prices because I need a fee for living. Maybe if the crypto situation is like the year 2017, surely the coin will I hold for a long time, or I sell when the price is already high.

My strategy for making a profit is to do short-term trades and buy coins that have large volumes.
But not a few people who still holding bounty tokens until the tokens do not have a price anymore even delist from the market. I often experience it like that where I am keep holding my bounty token until I don't get anything. I am a true Holder, many bounty tokens are still in my wallet, hoping that in the future these tokens can giving me a big profit.  Grin

I have participated in very few altcoin bounties but with my experience i would say yes sell them because i have been in great loss holding them once i had 400 usd worth of altcoins from bounty and i thought to keep them for long and finally i sold then for 55 usd, it was a sheer foolishness and waste of my time.

Very critical types of coins that continue to exist without a price and can be equated with junk coins. This will continue to grow with fraudsters who will spend your time in the work you have done.
This will continue and if you have the chance to sell it while you can have some profits is best decision to take instead of being trapped waiting for any good run but didn't went according to your plan. It's your bounty rewards and it's your right to have some gains, there's no need of holding or waiting if there's no future potential for this project that you are keeping inside your wallet.

If you have free Bounty tokens, would you sell at a loss? It can have advantages or disadvantages to sell at a loss: to avoid more loss but also to realises losses.

Personally I would wait for a better overall crypto market and sell later, because it's a bear market right now. If price rises again you can make a better profit and get more money back per coin if you wait and sell later. Market recovery will be positive to many good projects.

What's your strategy to make most profits now?
My advice to you, sell everything as soon as the opportunity arises, do not save this rubbish to unnecessary coins, Now on my wallet there are more than 30 coins that I received for my work as a bounty hunter and they do not even cost $ 100, but if I sold them all without waiting for a better time, I would get $ 7k-9k for them. Now think which is better ....
A very bad story when 30 coins received from the Bounty do not even cost 100 dollars. This indicates the quality of these projects and the fact that now there is a strong crisis in the cryptocurrency market.
