1st August is around the corner. Now the best choice I think is just waiting and doing nothing. You don't know which direction but in overall after the 1st Augment, everything will be normal

Hold them as it is. I do thought BitcoinCash may get successful one day but not right now and to claim a little more I dont wanna lose my present profit. Have a wide range of altcoins and some are in more than 200% profit right now.

SELL! ... or HODL!!

If BTC price goes down, alts might go up.

If BTC price goes up, alts might go down.

Or the opposite might happen.

I have already transferred my BTC to an offline wallet (my Trezor) . . .

I'm now thinking to sell my Altcoins and doing the same to protect my BTC and collect free BCC.

What is everyone else doing with their Altcoins prior to 1st August?

For altcoin i think it's not a problem, Which must be considered is Bitcoin. Your step is correct save Bitcoin in offline wallet to avoid the risk of loss.

I think saving altcoin in Wallet is not problem.

My advice is hold so long as you believe in your coins. Ideally they have a roadmap, active development and solid tech. And ideally you purchased at an attractive price.  I am holding my alt coins, and see no reason to sell them due to the Bitcoin hard fork scaremongering. My BTCs have mostly been transferred to a wallet where I control the private keys.

Most small alt coins have sold off in recent weeks. I have been buying more of some of my favorite names including XtraBytes and Hyperstake where I feel the selling has been irrational and panic driven. Good luck!

no don't do this, hold them in altcoin on the exchange and not in bitcoin, because all the exchange are not safe on 1 august if you hold btc on them, because you don't know what chain they will be, some altcoin have raised now so it's a pity to sell them now just because of the panic of 1 august

Yes keep holding them it is a chance to win or to loose all traders ,holders of bitcoin and alternative coins are waiting BTC fork on 1st August perhaps we will see market manipulation even after that for long period from 1 month -3 months . just keep holding no matter what happen .

I'm keeping my alts, and if everyone else dumps theirs in panic, I'll buy more. My btc stash is in my hardware wallet and will stay there to get this new altcoin (yes, it's an altcoin, not a hard fork, not a split, it's an altcoin) but I see no reason to sell my alts.

I will simply keep all my altcoins where there are and not have the intention to sell any of them.

Also leaving Alts on Exchanges is the same as leaving BTC there since when you come to sell back into BTC your leaving it up to a third party to choose between BTC and BCC . . . or whichever chain . . .

Am I right?
You are right so don't just leave altcoins on btc exchanges. I'd rather sell now all of my altcoin stash rather than leaving them on exchange. My course of action tough is to sell some alts and hold some on a wallet that I have complete control with, or ones I own a private key. Even alts will be affected on august 1 if there will be a split so its better to prepare for it now, decide what to sell and what to hold.
better to download wallets where you have full access instead of leaving it from the exchange even though its bitcoin which will be affected
its still better to be safe than sorry after, its a decision that you really needed to research and learn deeper.
