If people are getting banned selling crypto on eBay I would advise to stay away from selling on there.

In the past I've got an eBay account banned, and it sucks not to be able to use such a valuable resource as eBay.

For some horror stories, not only to scare you but to teach you about PayPal, google search 'paypal sucks'

I have bought many times successfully through ebay.

There is no risk there since they have the Buyer protection program
and the funds are reserved at the seller's side for 21 Days.
So he must be a moron if he tries to screw you in any case  Wink

This original post is about selling not buying. Agian, buyers are ulta-protected, sellers are not, regardless what eBay says.

eBay & PayPal are the same company even though they claim not to be. They have been known to be very unfair to sellers for a long time now.

If you're looking to sell on eBay just know that if a buyer wants to screw you it is VERY EASY.

eBay is an excellent place to buy, but you have next to 0 protection when selling.

Take that risk if you want, I wouldn't

People are selling but its BANNED. ebay cant take down all listings at once. I listed a couple of listing sold few but got a message from ebay to take down all listings and not relist cryptocurrency as of now as they are still eavaluating
I got the same message, spoke with multiple representatives and went round and round with them.  It's a no go and I'm not willing to risk my feedback rating to sell a few coins.  I think you can sell a penny and give the coins for free.  It may work, may not.  I haven't tried.  Has anyone tried that method yet and is it successful 100% of the time?

I have had only 1 person that I thought scammed me, but the item was so little money and I was happy to see it go to someone who would actually use it I just refunded their money, no questions asked.  1500 + transactions over 10 years.

I just started selling alts on eBay a couple days ago.  I don't sell to anyone with less than 10 feedback, 99% positive, and *must* pay with a verified PayPal account.

First auction was "won" by an obvious scammer - account was 1 day old, no feedback, non-verified PayPal payment - I returned the money and told him no

Second auction appears to be legit, good feedback rating, verified/confirmed PayPal address.  We communicated via eBay messages and I sent him coins, he confirmed receipt and left me positive feedback.

We'll see how this goes.  I sold 0.6 XPM worth of coins for $25 so the money people are paying is outrageous.  Especially with the most "worthless" alts.  Getting 1 million of something for $25 just seems like a good deal I guess.

Sell an item with "Free coins" included.  I've seen people selling USB drives, currency (lets you list it legitimately in the currency section), etc.  Make sure the auction is a "no returns" type.  I've recently won an eBay dispute in which the seller says it wasn't as described.  I noted that it was as described and pointed at the "no returns/refunds" policy on my page.  This was not a crypto type item, but it's proof that the seller doesn't *always* loose.

Ultimately it's riskier than trading in other ways, but, it clearly works for people.

OK let me clear the air about ebay/paypal. I had once sold around 20K worth of stuff on ebay in single year ( all digital... fandango/netflix/gift cards/ etc etc)
I had my profit margins such that I could take a hit of 5% chargebacks/complaints/ etc

Till date I had 1 chargebacks/numerous complaints on which I issued new code/0 negative feedback.. I became the top seller that year...

Long story short.. 95% people on ebay are fine.. Yes there are 5% scammers . I kept my losses low by
1) Selling low quantities.
2) Not selling a lot to single user.
3) Not selling to anyone will less than 10 feedbacks
4) Not selling outside ebay

Currently ebay does not allow you to sell crypto currency. Its BANNED as of now. Your listing will be taken down.
You can change wording and say i will send a pen drive/ paper wallet and try

Yea sure that's all good and everything so that's why I put restrictions on so that people without good ranks without paypal accounts cannot buy from me. They can try to scam but they won't do it for very long because 1 they will have to make a new name a new paypal and a new bank account. 2. I will provide proof that the item was sent. 3. I will dispute any claim saying item was not as described because I will have proof of this. People don't set up the features to block the scammers I do.
