You are assuming that the price will continue to rise. That is not guaranteed, so selling is not necessarily lost opportunity.

Selling may be the way to maximize your return, but it depends on the risk of holding.
maybe in this week Bitcoin price is still stable, and true, there is no guarantee also Bitcoin price will rise or fall in the future.

Maybe selling bitcoin is a loss of opportunity but you can't blamed them. They sell due to there personal decisions and beliefs.
Nothing is so sure what will be the tomorrow for bitcoin it's a wiser decision to play safe. Don't be too greedy.

Bitcoin has touched $19600, it was the lifetime high of bitcoin currency till date. Many those who have not sold their coins and booked their profits have missed a good opportunity. It was certain that after continuous rise bitcon experts were expecting a correction.  Exactly same happened and bitcoin prices slipped below $13000. Now those who think that the have lost the opportunity can sell their bitcoin at the end of this rally. Bitcoin1s next target is $40000.

Selling bitcoin is lost opportunity, I know that because I sold many bitcoins under 1000 dollars, I didn't do it because I wished that I needed money and that was decision made in that time. Now I think it would be better if I borrowed money and waited for this risw, bit who knew that bitcoin price will be on +10k after just 6 months. Now I think differently, I had chance to be really rich by now, but I'm not. Good for me in all that is that I believe I have second chance now, this is not the end, price will continue to rise and selling bitcoins is really lost opportunity, some of us knows that better then other's.
Missing out golden opportunities here on bitcoin world is common because we are just humans we wont know on what would be the future and come to think off that there are really instances which we can really avoid to sell out those coins but theres nothing to regret as long we do use up those profits or money on some important things which is worth it unless if you did waste up those bitcoin on playing gambling then it wont really be worth it at all. You would really regret those days.

It depends on time you will sell your bitcoins. The only thing you will ask yourself before selling, is how big profit you want earn. As long as you will sell your coins more than its initial price then it is consider as profitable investment.

Many posts discuss the possibility of exchange earnings with selling Bitcoin (and buy later). Other posts discuss the Bitcoin exchange rate, it seems that many agree there is a strong upward tendency and the volatility is hard to predict. It seems dat selling Bitcoin results in a serious probability of an opportunity loss. Selling Bitcoin can only be motivated by an (partial) exit. Do you agree?
For me it was not an opportunity loss it is someones choice or depends on their needs because i dont see any holders who sell their coins without any profit. Some will do panic selling because of price votality by being afraid that once there is dip that was happening they thought that it will continue to dump and could not recover again. Some would sell or exchange it for fiat maybe because they have personal needs ,might use it for emergency purposes or they might want to invest it outside crypto. In some ways they can buy bitcoins if they want to but price will be more expensive that really depends if they want to own btc again.

agreed, because by selling now it will lose the opportunity to gain profits and will miss because bitcoin prices will rise again this year

At present its a good buying opportunity and keep holding for a longer term as the price is going to bounce back from 16 k and will reach 18k in coming months. We could easily be seeing again new highs in short time from bitcoin. So selling means losing on the big opportunity.

Selling could also be done to secure your initial investment. It depends on how you see it, for me I believe Bitcoin will keep rising so I do not sell my Bitcoin, I only continue to accumulate it.

#hodl if you believe in it long term.

depends on your situation, if you need money/cash then you have to exchange, but if you dont rely on your invested crypto money, hodl IMO.

Yes sometimes when you require money their is no option but need to sell btc so that you can utilize that money as per your need. While just like when the market was at 18k selling was preferred as it has reached very high and that was also a good option as you could now buy back at lesser price which is at 14k$ .

Ok, but sell high buy low is "trading" IMO. I thought this thread is about selling BTC and cash out to a bank account and do not reinvest Wink

Selling your bitcoins isn't really a loss, it depends on the quantity, timing and price.
If you invested on bitcoins earlier than everyone else, back when the value of btc was
lower and cheaper and you compare it with today's price wouldn't you sell a portion of
your btc? that's just profit and that's quite good actually. That's unquestionably good
investment. Since btc is considered a risky investment, it's value can erratically sway
and vary over time. It would be perceptive to hold and save some and not completely
sell it all. That's what i would do.

Yes, selling bitcoin can lead to a possible loss of profits. Those who were among the first and did not sell their coins today are at least millionaires. You need to keep your coins for the future.
yes if you need, or there is a need urgent yes of course agan sell, loss or not depends on how the increase in bitcoin prices how.
if bitcoin price goes down and we sell it surely it will hurt us.

For me, i dont sell my bitcoins. Yeah we do not pridect the volatility of bitcoin. But if we trust in bitcoins and the source, you dont need to pannic, you only need is to wait until the value will recover, i know in the end of the year bitcoin will rich $30k thats a big news about crypto.

I actually agree with you that selling bitcoin because the price change  for now, just because of this period, does not warrant selling your bitcoin as the price for sure will appreciate. Selling it now will actually    amount to opportunity loss. And I will not sell my bitcoin, holding on is the best option for now.

Not at all if you are selling at the correct upward movement time then their will always be chances of price going down and you can buy back them. But if you are not a trader then better to buy and fix the selling target and when you achieve it that time better to sell off.
