Many posts discuss the possibility of exchange earnings with selling Bitcoin (and buy later). Other posts discuss the Bitcoin exchange rate, it seems that many agree there is a strong upward tendency and the volatility is hard to predict. It seems dat selling Bitcoin results in a serious probability of an opportunity loss. Selling Bitcoin can only be motivated by an (partial) exit. Do you agree?

They will definitely lose the opportunity of getting the profit that they should have because we all know that the bitcoins are volatile and any moment bitcoins can either fall or rise no one can tell us when will be the exact time for it to neither fall mor rise. The only thing we can do it hold our coins as long as we can because the bitcoins price always rise than falling, theybrise more than they fall and they always rise every after a fall so there is no meed to panic. My advice is do not sell you bitcoins for no reason because you might need it to become rich.

I agree with you without doubt. October 2017 I sold .685 bitcoin in a one and half month period bitcoin is bounded to achieving 10000 USD just short of 500 USD I strongly believe that it will reach 20000 USD within 6 month. So I really missed the opportunity by selling my bitcoin

Some times it's a acceptable and it's like miss the opportunity. Two days back I was sell my itcoin with the price of 8300$,now it's greater than 9600$,I think you get my point .Nearly 1300$ increase in two days and nearly 400$ is loss for me.So you have to patience if you want more dollar.Patience is always make you win.

Yes it is true ... selling of the bitcoin is the loss of opportunity to make some income with bitcoin, it is also the loss of the wealth that will be created for you by bitcoin in the future. bitcoin make opportunity to make income and if you sold it  mean that you loss the opportunity to make some income with bitcoin. as we have seen the rates in market raised in 2 week from 6K$ to 9K$. it mean 3k$ income in 2 week if you does not sold your bitcoin

Totally agree with previous posts. It's not good time for selling bitcoin, unless you have quite a big amount and don't mind getting rid of one btc Grin I would even say it is tim for buying since the price will climb up rapidly and every day the good opportunity to buy at a reasonable price is vanishing

selling bitcoin doesnt mean you loss your opportunioty, you can sell bitcoin at high and theen wait for the dip and buy again.. this is the natural wa of many people around bitcoin and it is a good way to earn more from bitcoin
Lol, as most of you do say back then. I don’t take such suggestions from people– waiting for a dip which will never occur again. What I know is if you want to buy Bitcoin, don’t ever mind the price rate, just buy at any rate it is at present and sell in future when the rate increases.

I remember when price was low and some people were advised to wait for a dip which never happened. So buy at any rate you see it now, and sell later when price increases. If you need it sooner, you can trade it and make profit.

Selling off is a relative and personal idea. Judging from when it was bought and the value it was at the time bought with what the price/value is at the moment, one can say it is a good sell at this time out. There is no error selling some off at this present level. But also, I won't guarantee you sell all, maybe less than half can do to buy into other coins too; just diversifying. It has turned out to be a good investment afteral its setbacks and volatility rate.

I think that at the moment, bitcoin will continue to rise in price, and in January-February there will be a drop in prices for some time. And there the main thing is to get out in time and go to the altcoins

Selling bitcoin now could be an opportunity lost if bitcoin will pump so high and we already sold it all out, but we can't really tell when will it happens.Opportunity lost also depends on how you use it after selling, like investing to a certain business opportunity or using it on emergencies. Then, it's not really a lost, it's a big help instead.

It depends on the scenario it doesn't mean youre your losing selling can also be a gain if its done in the right way and the right time invest your time reading books and read about other people's experience so you can have both timing and gain.

I don't agree that is opportunity loss when you sell your Bitcoin. As long as you sell your Bitcoin at a higher price than what you bought, it is already gain. The only opportunity loss that I can see is when you convert your Bitcoin into cash then spend it. That way you loss because you know that Bitcoin will be much higher that we expect. Selling your Bitcoins and not buying again will be a forever loss.

You are assuming that the price will continue to rise. That is not guaranteed, so selling is not necessarily lost opportunity.

Selling may be the way to maximize your return, but it depends on the risk of holding.

Agree, after sell at the peaks, we could maximize amount of bitcoin to repurchase.
Especially if we know the dump will happen, normally it always happens after bitcoin on Bull runs.
The problem is if bitcoin price keep increasing after we sell out bitcoin, so timing is everything in order to get profits and still could buy back at the dips of bitcoin price.
And a lot of people doesn't really know how to anticipate such bullruns and dumps, hence they tend to lose more if they sell. So if you're not that confident with your trading skills, better leave your btcs in your wallet and trade with other coins
New traders are usually victims of the panic selling and tend to lose precious coins especially bitcoins. These traders should not trader with big amounts rather I will suggest them trading with altcoins that too in small amounts or else as you said, they should simply keep their bitcoins into wallets until prices are high enough to leave them with huge profits.

Well, in a way it is. I mean, there have been multiple occasions where this statement has been proven correct and it is certainly a very valid thing to say. Bitcoin's value has dramatically climbed in the last few days / weeks and many people have become rich because of this.

I'd take advice from a financial specialist that knows about bitcoins before trying to sell or buy..

Why do you really need to? All it takes is a little common sense that bitcoin's value don't suddenly drop and die, and it is almost certain that it will / it has turned into something big that is used on a world-wide scale.

Selling bitcoin is an opportunity of losing huge profit in the future. Yes, I dont doubt it. It is good to use bitcoin as a long term investment but if you want to do trading with cryptocurrency, you should do it wisely. but still, Long term is the safest, and most easy  investment way to do. Because you must not always watching a movement of the price every time, like other day trader do. And stop selling, but keep buying in the right spot, then take huge profit later.

It depends on how a user thinks of selling their bitcoin. Sometimes they sell it because they need cash in real life, others sold too if they need to use it for various purposes and in some cases, they are on profit and believes that a dip will come in the way so they can purchase more.

Bitcoin will surely go up while on progress but remember that at some point it will experience price dip or big crash. Others just want to take advantage of this so selling is part of their strategy.

I sold my coins because of this reason. I need some urgent money, and the price is also not bad it's impressive I sold when it comes above $4k. I also know that the price will go more than $5k but I did not have that much time to wait. And who knows if any big crash happened there is a chance to go under $3k.

There is nothing bad or regretful if you sold your coins just to meet your urgent demand. Still you are better than many, at least much better than those who gave up on their bitcoins in the dumping stage. You can buy bitcoins again when the prices will go down since bitcoins have volatile nature.
Always think that when you had to make a decision to sell, you can also buy at the right time.
Bitcoin is not valuable if it couldn't help us in tough situation, we never lose the opportunity because there is always time to buy
and bitcoin is here to stay.
