there are so many people who are helpless in life, they have been trained to be fellow human beings like today in social media so many scammer people who make your name all they have to do to be fake, you can even fake the sending of IDs in KYC just easy to do it..but for me why do we throw each one of us if you make yourself a reality, no one will lose us if we are true. so, hopefully none of the scammers would have done so.
Sending fake personal data is of course not permitted. And this also depends on management policy and they must examine it carefully. Actually, if I prefer strict rules and don't use KYC. KYC is very risky because we also don't know them.
I try not to join ICO signature campaigns that require you to pass KYC verification. However, if they require to undergo such verification at the end of the ICO or even after its completion, then either send them fake (alien) data and documents, and sometimes their own. It all depends on the project itself. In general, I am categorically against the KYC inspections and consider them illegal in relation to bounty hunters.
I just was brought up to speed on groups of people sending in fake/Photoshopped ID's by scanning public records to defeat the KYC process and it seemingly is very easy to do. It appears that many people sent in fake documentation to the Bob's and Polymath KYC and had no hassles. How do these companies verify people if all they have to go on is public information? Did they even really check the ID's or were they simply collected the data? How rampant do you think this is? How many of us are complete fools for turning in our documents when others simply faked it. Now they have our data and the people who faked it are still secure.

Basically you have to decide if your identity will need to be secured. If that so, you shouldn't join any program or campaign that requires KYC unless they are really a good institution or application that will ensure your security.
They must check the ID of the data sent by the bounty hunter. And if the Bounty hunter made a mistake by sending a fake ID, it must be found. However, many fake ICO projects asked Bounty participants to send data IDs and after that, they left and were no longer active.
That's the problem in KYC. At the first place, I'm not in favor of that but I have to obey since I wouldn't be able to do what I need to do such as withdrawing my funds if not. I don't think that there is a regulation about that but I'm pretty sure using your identity for a crime is punishable by law.
They are too easy to send personal identity data. They must think that this is very risky and maybe bad things can happen to you. I personally must be careful in doing KYC and I better take part in projects that do not use KYC.

Definitely. But 3rd world countries tend to have kinda weak regulation and that is why most of the scammers that fake their ID coming from 3rd world countries.
Professional services to verify ID is definitely still needed. Theres no other way to prevent it.

As you know KYC is must required everywhere for exchanges,ICO,s and some bounties also required KYC, some fake people or some people that wants to get more benefits they are cheating with KCY and making fake KYC , i suggest that every KYC should vidoe kyc and also exchanges and ICO;s should check all the data.

Some projects are verifying are record in our country and there's no vering for me if they are using fake identification as long as they are providing my token and concern.
I agree with you, OP. I was too dumb in the past that I had sent my passport to a random ico that I wanted to invest in. That ICO few weeks later kinda exit scammed. They didn't deliver what they said they would and remained silent. The thing is, I have thought about sending fake IDs for KYC stuff but I literally have zero Photoshop knowledge
And what I experienced about KYC problems, it didn't matter much. The only thing that made me disappointed was that after passing KYC I didn't get a coin. This is a fraud project and certainly makes me angry. But there are also good KYC projects that can be successful.

maybe they just saw it, didn't research it. if they want to research and check, no one can cheat. because only original data is recorded in the government, fake data will never exist.
