Maybe you don't have any options, you can only submit a work order to the exchange, and then wait for a reply.
The only thing you can do is pray. Sad

Yeh not in a good place to be honest financially especially with the market being the way it currently is!
Deffo an expensive lesson.

I hope you are not a lot of lost. There is not much probability to get it back. Be careful next time. This lesson is too expensive.

You have no choice if yobit did not entertain your support ticket its totally a mistake from your side and it will take time to resolve it, just be very careful nextime if you send big amount.

You should create ticket to their support.
One address could easily be used for both ETC and ETH due to the same structure of etc and eth. So if they have private key from that address they would probably return your ETH back soon.

These types of transactions, leading to "lost" coins -- I'm wondering, if you look at currencies with limited supply such as Bitcoin (but to some extent also ETH and ETC), how much \ what is the percentage of lost coins in circulation? That information could be important in assessing the rarity and therefore the value of the coin...

I have accidentally sent ETH from my wallet to an ETC wallet address on YoBit, is there any way I can recover this?

Been trying to get hold of someone at YoBit for assistance but not had any luck Sad

I'm guessing they are the only ones that can send these coins back to me as I don't have access to the private keys on the address??

YoBit has one of the most weird Customer Service stations on the Internet. If you log into that website and ask your question in the chatroom then you would get a faster reply.

I think you should try all options you can honestly - shouting in the chat is a last resort, but if you've already waited weeks - it might be your SOS signal haha Cheesy

That is the reason, I never touch my crypto wallets when I'm drunk. j/k

OP you've no choice rather than the help from the exchange.

I do not think I am wrong when I say that Ethereum and Ethereum Classic have the same format of private keys and addresses it may be possible to recover.

Be patient and respectful to Yobit support.

Really very sad, but you can raise a support ticket and provide them the transaction hash and your wallet to give you back your eth. But you need to give a test of your patience btw😉

Sorry it is gone. i also made such mistakes twice but I have learn from it and moved on. I had since made more than I lost. The transaction is not reversible once done. Take heart and look forward.

I dont think it is going to be meaningful but the only thing you can do is contacting with their support service. But they usually do not care unfortunately.
Keep on trying. If you give up then you won't have the answer to your question.
They usually respond after a few weeks. Just send them a message everyday.

Nah, there is no way to recover those eths back, you have lost them mate, it is your fault and you have to understand that there is no way to recover them back no matter what.
I know a guy who sent 2 bitcoins to his bitcoin cash wallet, he lost them because there is no way to receive those bitcoins that are lost in the limbo.
Next time try to see to where you are sending those coins, good luck.
