Someone is sitting in the shade today...
Hi, is this normal? i have 2x antminer running for about 18 hours, however the # of discarded shares seem to be very high. What does discarded mean? thanks

Hes (SVK) asking can two miners or better to say two PDU be powered from single power elctricy socket (AC 220 or 110V)

I say yes, it can.
I suggest to use multiextension power socket cord with protection and fuse.

Exactly  Smiley

I have 220/240V elec. connection(normal voltage). Each miner has its own PSU CX750M and each blade has its own PCI 6 pin cable.

I was worried if two miners are not too much for one wall socket.

Thanks everyone for a help  Smiley

SVK did you calculate the ERROR Rate with the formula which i wrote above?

Yes I did. It came as 0.83 % which is nothing  Smiley

Thank you very much for your help

Has anyone figured out how to keep the fan spinning at a higher RPM for increased cooling capacity?

Thanks

plug it into a power supply directly.

Is the Ant ok running without a fan plugged into the header on the board? It wont see any RPM's. Has anyone tried this. My Ants are remote and I cant get to them right now to verify.

Thanks

Blade 2 does not have a problem with no fan... i dont see any reason why blade 1 would mind.

Good point!

Oh, yes I agree.  Up to 3 or maybe 4 miners on one 15A 120V wall socket should be fine.  More on 240V.

Now updated to 12.12.2013 version and still same a ton of HW errors.
Blades have 0000000 everywhere so that is ok.

I'm using Corsair CX750M PSU which should be enough for one miner.
However I have two miners connected to one socket on extension lead. Is it ok or I'm asking for trouble ?

That's not OK.  Each blade needs to be on its own cable.
Not each blade, but each miner need to be on its own cable. I guess just a typo, right?

Each blade should have its own cable.

^ Using 2 of these cables, one connected to each blade is correct.

^ Using one of these cables to power both blades is not correct.

Each blade draws 180W (more if overclocking).  One cable is not sufficient to power both blades.

Every miner need to have own socket in the wall ?
Two miners on one wall socket is OK.

My connection at the moment.
Socket in the wall --> extension lead --> 2x PSU powering 2 Ants

New Factory Default Reset Button

Predd and hold down this little bitty black round switch for at least 3 seconds while AntMiner is powered on.

just a heads up - the ip on that antminer should be 192.168.2.13 - the leading zero is not required, and you will not find the miner if you are looking for the ...013 IP

192.168.2.013 actually means 192.168.2.11 since it assumes ur typing the octet in octal and not decimal.
So, them printing 192.168.2.013 instead of 192.168.2.13 is completely wrong...

One of the miners still has too many HW errors even after the update to newer version 29.11.2013.

I have noticed on github that antminer posted even newer software I'm just not sure if I should try to install that one.

Did you flash newest software ?

Thank you
How many REAL Errors did you have?

HW/(HW+DiffA+DiffR)%

Turn off and on didn't help  Sad

Mate, just calculate the REAL Errors with the formula which i post. If the Errors are lesser then 1% never mind.

I have added more info to my previous post.
I have turned him off for couple of minutes just to see if that helps.

Many thanks for help  Smiley
