Don't plug into router for initial quick setup. Just plug cable direct from computer to Ant.

What is your local IP address? You need to set your IP to something in that subnet

Set your IP to 192.168.1.98
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Gateway can be blank
then hit 192.168.1.99 with browser.

Login to Ant with root:root

Go to Network - > Interfaces -> Wan -> Edit
Change WAN settings to local network - Whatever your PC or router is assigning for DHCP/Static.

Change S1 static IP to something outside of your local DHCP range.

Example
192.168.0.150
255.255.255.0
192.168.0.1 - Gateway - Your router address
DNS - 208.67.222.222 - 8.8.8.8 - 192.168.0.1

Reboot S1 unplug cable from Ant. Plug ant into network and change your PC IP settings back to what they were.
Hit S1 with new WAN ip you assigned on local network.

Does that even make sense? lol
If not just tell us your local network IP then we can give you exact addressing.

Tried that, still nothing.

Can you ping it?

Does your router have the ability to show you attached devices?

Will check now,

Hi there,

Recently got my antminer s1 but cannot seem to set it up correctly.

I plugged an Ethernet cord into the port on the antminer and then plugged the other end of the cord int the router. I then connected my main pc to the router via a really long Ethernet cord. I then typed in the ip address on the antminer (192.168.1.99) but it just keeps connecting and eventually chrome says "Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to 192.168.1.99"

If anyone could give me a hand it would be great, you can teamview if you need.

Thanks,
-MP5KU.

My guess is it's trying to search for "192.168.1.99"

type in the full address,

http://192.168.1.99/

Tried that, still nothing.

I've seen this too.  I did a power cycle to fix it.

power cycle ??

Computer speak.  It means turning it off, waiting minimum of 10 seconds, then turning it back on.  Different from a hard boot, and different from a soft boot.

Upgrade done! However...

Via ssh the comand cgminer-api version reports:

Code:

   [STATUS] => S
   [When] => 1400177977
   [Code] => 22
   [Msg] => CGMiner versions
   [Description] => cgminer 4.3.2a

[VERSION] =>
   [0] => VERSION
   [CGMiner] => 4.3.2a
   [API] => 3.3

But the web interface still refers the old 3.12.1 version...

What am I doing wrong?

Nothing, it's working perfectly.  If you search this thread for that question, you'll see a few posts about that.  The web interface > software does not reflect the correct version when updated in this manner.  As long as cgminer -V shows correct, you're good.[/code]

Hello,

I started mining a couple of days ago with my Antminer S1. Apart from some issues related with wi-fi instability, everything appears to be working well. The S1 is running at 200 MHz, 47ºC, with very few HW.

I have been using Nicehash.com pool and my results are in line with the expected outcome, steady hashing speed and very few rejected shares.

But when I try to use an auto switching pool (I tried MultiMegaPool) my miner reverts to a backup pool for 5 to 10 minutes every time the stratum on the ASM switches to another coin,.

I believe this has been reported many times before as a bug in old versions of cgminer. Are you guys experiencing something similar? Any advice for a noob? How can it be fixed? Update the cgminer in the Antminer?

Thank you!  Wink

Heya, I haven't tried Nicehash.com or MultiMegaPool but I have noticed that when I mine altcoins (SHA256) with my Ants, depending on what coin, the HW varies vastly. I was mining with iSpace.co.uk when mining altcoins.
Ant running latest fw?

Sounds like either a pool server issue or maybe your Ant/cgminer is reverting to the backup pool due to the error/reject/stale rate?

Make sure that you are on the latest firmware:

Hmm, not sure whats up but I cannot connect to one of my Ants...I am receiving this message...

/usr/lib/lua/luci/dispatcher.lua:448: Failed to execute function dispatcher target for entry '/'.
The called action terminated with an exception:
/usr/lib/lua/luci/sauth.lua:87: Session data invalid!

The Ant is mining away but I was just checking out M's Ant Monitor v1.4
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ms-miner-antsp-monitor-v52-alertsautomassscheduled-rebootmobile-miner-596178
and I noticed one of my Ants was not reporting to M's Ant Monitor, so I decided to port into the Ant via my browser and I get that message. I have yet to reboot/power cycle the Ant.

Any suggestions? Thanks

This popped up on me before. Reboot fixed it. If you don't have putty, download it. SSH in and type reboot, hit enter. Or, just unplug and plug back in. Haven't seen it since. Also, are you running the latest firmware?

I've seen this too.  I did a power cycle to fix it.

M

power cycle ??

Correct, a power cycle cleared this right up.

I am not sure on what fw my units are currently running. They are all new within the last 3 months so I would assume I am on the latest and greatest but we all know what assumptions lead to. I do have putty installed as well for if/when I do any OC/UC'ing and/or undervolting in the future.

Thanks!
