Just got home from a day of doc apts. I will check my inbox and get back to you shortly.

function blunt2tactful("

what recourse do investors have if you drop dead tomorrow? who can we contact?

");

Ive been thinking about that all night. In the event that I do not wake up some morning, I am arranging to have the hardware liquidated and everything taking care off. I have a few people here that will help with that and understand the buisness enough to handle an even like that.

How old are you ?

How likely is it that something bad will happen ?

Let us know more about your condition so we can be prepared etc.

Thanks !

Age: 27
Likely? Unknown untill I see the oncologist on the 11th.
Still dont know everything yet, but I am also a type 1 diabetic so that may complicate things a bit.

Sorry to hear that. Sounds pretty serious. Hopefully you can still manage the business and won't disappear with the $$$ like others before that got ran over by a bus, captured by hijackers in a plane, hacked by security analyst etc. and all those stories for children.

The current plans for SDM is to be 60% FPGA tech by July. With ButterflyLabs Bitforce units and RigBox looking to be the real deal, calculations and discusions are started up and if all goes well, SDM will have a 50ghs FPGA box by then middle of the year.
There is alot more I wish to share, but I do not want to do so until there are certain factors that have been worked out. One thing for sure is that 2012 will be the year of the Bitcoin, or atleast I wil do what I can to help the network gain acceptance and use. If that means that I provide help, services and anything else i can to the community to help that happen, I will be glad to do what ever I can.

P-l-e-a-s-e BE careful with them as they haven't been entirely honest with everyone so as not to get scammed again.

Personally I would wait till at least a few other forum members report everything is fine, but even then - standard 6 month warranty doesn't sound too good.

P.S. sent you an e-mail.

2012 Update

SDM #1 has power.....sorta
240v upgrade has been installed with the new power box installed. The existing 110v line that is coming into the building is still providing power until So-Cal Edison comes out to replace the line and connect the meter. This should be this week after the holiday. After that, the relaunch of GPU hardware will start off in stages to prevent damage to the system from extreams in operating enviroment due to a sudden launch of the hardware.

The 5970 upgrade is going very well along with the new gpus that I have been adding to the system.

your not last on my list, just the biggest. And the reasons why some are beign payed and not others is due to closing out their contracts not payment output.

A few smaller contracts were just paid out in the remaining btc that was owed.

why are you paying some people and not others? that hardly seems fair at all... shouldn't you be distributing available coins evenly? you've got 8 decimal places to play with.

still feeling like i'm last on your list...

Once you get the rigs up and running, are you going to go back to how it was before everything blew up, where you pointed the miner at a pool and I went and retrieved the coins from said pool?

Im just going to speak with all the contract holders and see what works best for them. Because I am not going to renew contrats or accept new ones, I can change my model a good bit. A few smaller contracts were just paid out in the remaining btc that was owed. The larger ones will still run most likely. I think after christmas we will be at that stage to figure things out.

I dont want to be giving any dates untill the electrical is up to code and I can launch the hardware again. Thursday should really give me a good idea.

That's cool. Regular status updates would help keep your customers more at ease.

On 12/22 the elcritcal pannel work will be started and hopefully done in one day. After that, its only a matter of unboxing the packaged hardware and firing up the racked rig.
As the 5970s are rolling through the door, they are beign placed into the 4u racks, but with 20amps right now, I cannot fire them up to stress test.

Shares? I ordered a 6 month contract in late August, shakaru was unable to deliver it so I decided to end it, got most of the money back, except $200, I know he got scammed and has some financial problems now, but I've been waiting SO long now and really want to get it back!

Sounds like you should have used bitcoins to take payment rather than paypal. Perhaps we can all learn a lesson from this: use bitcoin more.

For the guy who scammed you, I guess it is hard when you already have a relationship, but maybe you should look into using an escrow service when buying a large order using bitcoins?

Im still exactly looking into what went on. He had done great work in the past and drove 35 min to make in person transactions. Desloc never got his canvas and I do not know if he is in actual recuipt of the btc as no contact has been made in a long time. I just assume.

As far as Paypal, up until this, they had been great. Our very first paypal contract got held while they made sure he made the purchase and in 24 hours the funds were released and I got great assistance from paypal on how to handle these transactions. I had explained our work to them and they understood the concept of subscription bassed server rentals for processing power. The problem that caused the issue is that the scammer claims he never even heard of us or bitcoin and that this was a stolen paypal account.

Just to make sure everyone is clear. We are not stoping opperation. There are still contracts to finish, and even some to start so there will be alot more of Shades Minoco. One of the things that is happening is that alot of our hardware was 5830s and thus why I am selling them to buy 5970s to make managing this cluster a bit easier than that many 5830s.
