IPOs?
Do you think that IPOs are for everyone? I do not think so, while ICOs, in the year 2017 were for everyone, also retail investors earned a lot here. Why it is not profitable these days? Because bear market, but as soon as market sentiment changes, you can expect another ICO boom.  Cool

IPOs must be fully regulated and they are by far not for everyone. That's the huge difference when it coms to ICOs. At the latest on the secondary markets everybody can participate.

in my opinion the IPO cannot be used carelessly by people. because the IPO is still closed, and of course we all know that the ICO can be used by many people, and until now many have chosen ICO, so I think the IPO with ICO is very different.

Lyft, Pinterest, Zoom, Uber… these are the big names went to IPOs recently.
It seems IPOs are roaring back, especially compared with the freezing winter for ICOs. Shall I invest in these initial offerings? If so, how?

Where do you see the edge? If you will only look for trust, I can say that it is good to invest in STO and IEO. These coin offerings are really good because you don't have to seek for their exchange listing since they are regulated by government and exchange. But if you want to risk for a good profits, stick for ICO projects.

Look at the market now - it is very unstable! Even large popular stock exchanges do not guarantee you that the prices of tokens will not start falling at the start of sales. I would not advise to invest in new projects now, among the old ones you can find promising projects that have fallen greatly in price!

I think IPO is quite better because ICO was just recently replaced by IEOs an its performing better now. IEOs are doing great and has a bright future.
IPO dead and can you even say it's better than ico? it looks so werid to see you are saying that and how much developers are interested in created ico rather than ipo right now? none of them even interested to created it and do your deep research for that dude.

said who is the IPO dead? The IPO is still there, and I think IPO is better than ICO that is filled with scammers. Although the IPO is not intended for everyone, I think it's quite good because only good investors can buy it.

Do not compare the IPO and ICO, the two fundraisers are different, the ICO is fundraising which previously did not have trust, while the IPO was fundraising from companies that already had trust.

Either IPO or ICOs, my advice for you is to do a very good research before you invest your hard earned money because people are getting rekted in IPO too, so doing your research will help you know whether it is worth investing in or not.

For me I rather wait for the coins or tokens to be safely out for trade in exchanges before I buy them
But remember will you try to buy a coin that already traded more than 4x from the ico price? i thought that if you will not try to buy it. This time people are putting all of their attention to the ICO/IEO. Remember IEO gave the same guarantee like what will you get when you are trying to buy from exchange site.

Remember a good investment portfolio is always diversified. Investing in just one sector could lead to high profit sometimes while high loss in others. If you invest in a multiple of sector, lose from one could be covered from profit from other. So, select the best of them and invest in everything be it stock, bonds, debentures, mutual funds, hedge funds or crypto.

I think IEO is a better option ICO and IPO have a lot of scam, nowadays you can easily fish out an IEO for potential scam unlike ICo where you don't know if it's real or not.

It is not about one over the other, it is about honesty. If here is an honest team behind an IEO or ICO, both options can go well.

Maybe if I were you I would choose an IPO instead of ICO, yes now ICO is better known as a scam and not a few of the ICO projects failed. IPO has a small percentage as a scam, because the company that launched the IPO means that it has had a real project before.
But if you like startup companies, it's better to add the IEO to your list and not participate in the ICO.

Haven't you considered IEO to your lists? IPO is still better from ICO but if i were you, just to be wise to your investment, I would rather choose IEO. Do not be influenced by some companies who chose IPO, the importance is the assurance of a particular investment. IEO will be on my first choice. But if you want to have an old and established projects, go for IPO.

Why ask us? It's completely up to you. I'm pretty sure it's not as easy to invest in an IPO though, as you'd have to register with a brokerage firm as far as I know. The process probably depends on what country you're in.

ICOs though? I don't think ICOs should even be considered nowadays.

I don't consider investing in ICO either, ICO is hurting because of too many scams and developers are abusing bounty hunters and investors, gone are the days when real developers are doing crowdfunding using ICO, now so many anonymous scammers launching dubious projects and employing fake people.

IPOs are a great to go, although I have quited the stock exchange market for a while because of the bad situation and manipulation by the big players, I was actively participating in most of the IPO. I think it's better to invest in IPO, specially when there's IPO like Uber.

I don't think this is the right place for the discussion.

Either you chose investing in IPO's or ICO's at the end of the day one thing is needed for sure, and that is if you have done your research on the projects that you are interested in. You should have known that anything that involved investment should be researched because there are many factors to be considered your investment will be profitable, specially in the crypto market where as of now there are a lot things that can end the project.

To invest or not to invest is always up to you. The question that you should be asking here is are these projects good enough to become worth investing or is there any project you can suggest you should be worth more than these. But if you think these projects are good enough for you then why not?
