They chatge a small percentage on each transaction.
Maybe they even take a few risks and buy say 50 LTC or BTC ect. when the price is low and move them through the site.

This is a freaking awesome idea!!! Didn't know about this until QuickBT mentioned the yare trying to intergrate this so they can sell more coins. 

I don't get how the company.. "company"? makes any profit..?

It was a small amount of LTC but i wanted to convert this to BTC.
My wallet balance has gone down but it say ' this payment has not been transmitted yet' do you know if this is a proble at my end or at the site?

I've just experienced my first "unsuccessful" shift (BTC to LTC) the exchange is still pending after 9 confirmations, I guess something went wrong this time.
Despite this I must say that is the first problem I had since I've started to use this great service months ago, let's see if someone will reply to my support request even if it's Saturday...

You guys are doing great job! Truly, shapeshift.io is very addictive, I would say even more then hot chocolate I tried you once, then for a second time, and then you got me and whenever I need to exchange I do just few clicks and ... DONE! I believe you are gonna put a lot of smaller exchanges with KYC/AML and their cluttered interfaces and constantly bothering login/logout/email confirmations to rest

Anyway, Eric and his gang - you guys truly innovate in crypto space! Bought a share recently through BnkTtF and I know I wont regret it in couple months/years.

I wanted to ask - what are your conditions (plain and simple) to add new altcoin support ? I was unable to find it on your website and you are not offering usual program to vote/or bootstrap (paid) addition as e.g. CoinPayments or other exchanges do. I mean - you are looking primarily e.g. at:
1. dev team/community
2. average volume
3. number of exchanges it trades on 
4. ...
(from highest weight to lowest)

@Shapeshift I understand that the address linked for a conversion remains active for 24 hours only but is there a way to permanently link an address, for example, let's say I want some dogecoins to be converted to btc automatically, so what I do is instead of giving new address everytime, I provide a dogecoin address of shapeshift which is linked to my btc address and anytime that address receives doges they get auto converted to BTC and sent to my address. Is that possible?
