This is for the gamblers who have been addicted to gambling before. Please share your stories here so we can learn from them and avoid getting addicted ourselves. Also, let us know how you overcame your addiction and how you are managing yourself now while gambling.
Luckily I personally am not in a state of gambling addiction, I think so. And moreover it does not make me want to always gamble.
However, from one of my family experience:
- He has a closed friend who also gambles, he joined
- He got good wins in the first few rounds
- He lost in the next rounds
- He became more curious to try again, supported by his friends who also told him to keep making deposits
- He couldn't get away from his cellphone, because he always wanted to bet on online gambling
- Starting to run out of money, initially pawning several items, in the hope of winning.
- Again the number of losses increased many times
- Selling items, and not being able to redeem the items he pawned
- Still losing, but he was still curious
- owed thousands of dollars (in conversion to dollars)
- He was stressed and depression
- Entered a mental hospital, leaving a child who is still 4 months old
- Made his family lose their home and finally lived with other relatives
Once addicted, it will be very difficult to warn or advise. Once you are crazy and can't move anymore, then it's over.
Until now, it's still not solved yet.
