ethereum, is the first best altcoin to be bought and held. ethereum has very fast and good developer growth. it was proven by the clever contract design that supported thousands of new projects based on the blockchain token. The second might be BNB, the same base as ethereum but it is simpler and lighter in transactions, and has very large investors. besides that BNB already has DEX and CEX markets
I don't understand how the Via and VTC have so low prices. They have very good technology. The last was hacking on Via. It was a huge loss of prestige. Now more money is pouring into new projects. Change the name and make ICO again? why not
Viacoin. Price is very attractive in sats right now. The coin was started in 2014 and still is being actively developed on by some very talented developers. At the core it serves the same space as bitcoin does while providing a much faster conformation time. Viacoin is accepted at a decent amount of places as a means of payment. At this price it's a decent steal.
Tezos still hasn't proved himself. Although it is a very nice project, the price did not rise. This will change. I think 10 dollars is not far to Tezos. When the price of Bitcoin goes up, the price of Tezos may also increase rapidly.
next year will be the year of Cardano - ADA .staking and smart contracts will be available soon many partnerships will follow

so, the demands will come and push the price up,,
anyway people also waiting for ethereum 2.0 and bitcoin halving event next year
and maybe next year crypto believer will be smile, just like in 2017
for now my biggest portofolio on altcoin is ethereum and binance coin
and the rest going to other altcoin such as cardano, ltc and more

in general, people will hold ETH, BNB, LTC, BCH, SV BCH, Waves, Thether, EOS, and other popular altcoins. the reason is easy, tHAT altcoin has development is clear until now.

I have Ethereum for a long time, Litecoins too. Both are strong projects that are growing. I have Waves and EOS too.
I bought BNB this year first time. This projects are unique with strong teams, with active communities that are growing.
It`s why we believe that their prices will rise eventually, it`s cause interest in them is growing and they are working

All the coins in the market other than bitcoin is shit coins for me, yes i have a few coins in my collection like ETH, Litecoin and Monero and all the coins split from those chains including bitcoin and its different alternatives. I will only trust bitcoin and nothing else because i started my investment in the virtual market with bitcoin and it is better i stick with them . So the alt coin you are shilling is in your signature:P.

Stratis was a performer. I'm not following it anymore after I sold all my holdings. Good coin, its just not substantial if you don't own about 5K of it, I didn't trade so I was just holding my Stratis and sold lat year.
If I have to shill some of the tokens I hold, I would also be recommend the EIDOO. This is a wallet with the hybrid decentralized exchange on it, you can compare this project to the new project such as Volentix (VTX).

I used to have a lot of assets because I like having lots of altcoins and didn't focus on just a few assets. but now I only have BTC, BNB, LTC, and ONE. I have not yet determined how long I will survive with this asset that I have. but for the short term I am sure I will not sell it.

I am holding a balanced portfolio where 40 percent are in BTC, 50 percent are in altcoins like LTC, ETH and BNB (no reason to explain, why they are legit), and 10 percent is a free budget to give a try on new coins like WPP or ICNQ.
If your choices of altcoins belong to the top 100, there is actually no need to explain. Their rank is enough explanation already in my opinion. They would not have climbed that high and passed by thousands of other altcoins if they are not the cream of the crop.

In new market conditions Top 100 is not enough for being at safe side. There more than 650 project which doesn’t not have any new one single code.
It’s probably possible that many projects at top 100 ranked can be Death soon.
Investing on top 20 and if wanna be safe side investing on top 10 can be wisely. I also following Binance Coin (BNB) and eth closely. Also checking TOMO and Atom.

WPP is truly one of the best tokens I've ever held. It is one of the most successful projects in 2018, although now its price has dropped a lot compared to ICO but in the future, it will soon make WPP in the top 100 of CMC.Currently it is developing a very good product and has many great partners. Stay tuned and buy it before it rises again to $ 0.1.

Look around to this board and there are many people who hold BTZC, I just wonder what this is? is there something that I was missing?For OP, I've been thinking that the coin that won't end up to scam is you have to choose the coin in the top position on the market.
Such as ETH, Tron, BCH and etc, I believe those coin won't end up to shitcoin. Even, I just have a prediction for ETH, when the price of eth touch the paek at 2017 ago, its price well-off to reach $1200 and now its price just $177, so now is the good time to store your money it and I bet it won't make you fall short of it.
