Wow, I am not really surprised about this news, we have seen a lot of companies that gave us trust as crypto companies but ended up scamming a lot of users of their hard earn money, this is why we need professional consultant in our ecosystem so that you don't just jump into a project because it looks good, but you can make good enquiries and research about the project even before making investment. Let's come together and make this community better and scam free.

Recently we covered a news story about BiteBTC.com being a scam. When we published the article, BiteBTC.com blocked us on twitter. They claim that they are issuing refunds, but users say that they haven't received them. They also moved their business to Seychelles. Yet again, we dug a little deeper and found the owners and some more shocking information.

They moved to Seychelles, rumored to be in prison. Yet somehow they are still operating, how is this possible?  Huh

Now they're sending out e-mails like:
"You will have to make a deposit of 0.01BTC to the rectification wallet address we will provide for you to rectify your account"  Undecided

I don't think the emails that has been sent came from them. Probably there is a scammer using a virus and hacked their system for doing this. I'm not fond of that exchange but this is too desperate from users if you ask money from them to fixed stuff such as withdrawals or transfer.

I think I agree with you that BITEBTC are totally scammers but I don’t want to conclude yet still believing that they are just experiencing some sort of technical issues that will be sorted out soon because I had some coins that went up by 30% last week which I tired login in to their site to exchange but encountered lots of challenges logging into my account.

In fact they started this long time when I tried withdrawing my money and I started getting lots of errors till I gave up hoping and waiting for the BULL RUN, I really hope that they have not parked up as you said.

So many users have been locked out of their accounts.
There even have been stories that as soon as they press the "withdraw" button, their account becomes inactive.
That is funny how the deposit function in any of these scam exchanges always work, but somehow, the withdraw function always has problems. Smiley

Obviously that their volume is fake as well, because, who in the right mind, after seeing all this bad press, would use their services?
Also, this is not something new, this has been going on for a couple of months now.
That is serious, I just tried it too now and got the same error, I really have not really logged into their system for a while now because I was holding most of the coins there and felt there is no reason to keep logging in till the BULL RUN come and I have need for them, what do I do now ?

I didn’t know that exchanges does all these increase in volumes too just like some ICO’s, I wish there could be a software developed to allow investors or users be able to spot exchanges or ICOs with hyped volumes.

BiteBTC is shit exchange
Too many bots and fake volume on there

It seems they try to attract people to use their exchange for now by creating some shitcoin airdrops. And then make people register and verify their identity first before using this exchange. I worried they will sell user personal data on deepweb or blackmarket after this exchange exit scam someday.

I don't use bitebtc but with all of those proofs and comments about them, they are acting shady already. And with what OP said for asking their depositors of 0.01BTC for rectifying their clients account, that's nuts!

Most of these kind of asking for a specific amount of bitcoin were all scams. If someone is there thinking of sending and believing them to rectify your wallet with that amount, think again. Don't buy with that kind of condition, they should make out your accounts and wallets work again for free.

My experience for registering at BiteBTC took almost more than a month to trade, and now why can't I enter my account, I try to reset my password but the email address is not found. How about this?

it's time to go out of there fortunately just signing up hasn't made a verification or deposit, how can it be that in the prison the web remains active and there is no exchange that has a 0.01btc deposit for account recovery and that is a big scam, spread the news to other people so that no one is hit by a scam

This is really a big event and it will affect the reputation of Singaporeans. There, ordinary people are very prestigious and that is why they have a high income.
I think the Singapore government will soon enter and punish the scammers. There, the rules are very strict and I believe that investors will find the lost money.

That exchange site should be market as a scam and that may better to create more awareness thread about that.
That email is totally scam and that can be considered as a strong evidence to call that as the real scam exchange site.

This is like the users have first invested some investment and then to recover that investment they have to pay some more, this way the scammers are making the investors believe that they will get their investment back only some fees they have to pay. This way the investor in the hope that they may get their investment pay it and then back they are scammed. So this are the small ways they scam small investors.

It should be spread so that they should not get scammed more.
