New user to the forums and new to Bitcoin overall, just looking for some advice. My friends have bought packs with USI-tech a few months ago when the price was around £2.5k per coin. I'm looking to get into it but just wondering when to go for it.

I've been waiting for the price to fall which it kind of has now, do I wait it out even longer for it to fork again in November? Or do I just put some money into it now. I've been doing a lot of research before I do anything but just want some opinions on here please.
If you have enough fund to buy a bitcoin and you can hold bitcoin for long term. Then you can buy bitcoin now.And hold for long term.It will be great work if you can hold your bitcoin in your desktop wallet. because in the fork you will receive free coin as previously got bitcoin gold and bitcoin cash.

No .... Price is too big ATM .. So try to wait it to goes down for 10-20 percent Smiley

We've all been there, waiting for the price to go down just a little bit more before we buy, and then suddenly it goes up by a few hundred dollars and you've missed your chance.

If you are buying to hold for the long term, dollar cost averaging is probably the way to go.

I guess you should, bcz its price will go up&up due to obvious reasons. Of course, it could've been wiser to buy it when BTC was cheaper than now

I think you should buy it now because its price is going down. There are not so many opportunities for us so do not miss it.

When you don't know the certainty of a thing, you're said to be taking risk.
In this situation, i would advice that you invest with a capital you know you can path with, such that when the outcome doesn't come out as anticipated, u won't really feel it and when it does come out good, it would still be a win case.

No, you should not buy bitcoins now as it's price is falling now and will definitely fall for a few more days and then it would be the best time to buy bitcoins once it become stable at a constant price as it will be the lowest price from which bitcointalk will bounce back, so investing at that time will be the best choice. So if you can wait for a few days as you have waited for a few months then it would be the best time to buy bitcoin.

And what if it doesn't go down that much?

No, the question to be asked is, does the OP want to be a trader or an investor?  As a trader, he might make a small purchase now, see if it goes up or down and either buy or sell based on what his target profit is.  As an investor, he might make a larger purchase now and if it goes down he might buy even more, but the purpose would be to hold over the long term, not to make frequent buys and sells to attain small, short term gains.

I think you should buy it now because it can increase in the next few days, buy when it goes down if you do not want to miss out on your opportunity.

You should buy bitcoin now indeed, if you are talking about buying now because of the time and price of bitcoin than I can direct you to the history of bitcoin, it was never too late when people asked similar questions, especially now since the price is correcting itself it would be a good time to invest in bitcoin, it goes only up and up, if you have a decent amount of money to spend I would buy some bitcoin and some good altcoins, the altcoins can give you huge returns if invested wisely only on good projects and coins.

If you're planning on holding the coins long term, then get them now; difficulty is increasing and supply is increasing. When talking about short term though, maybe wait for more price dips before purchasing.
solution for this problem is invest small amount of money per month in a period where prices are dips

Now would be a good time to buy in as prices have fallen. Unfortunately if you want to wait there is a fair chance it will rise again.

I think you should do that cause the price of Bitcoin at this time only about 5k5$, it's a good price to buy cause I think after the hard fork Bitcoin price will reach to 7k$ very quickly. Beside you should buy it now to claim free BTG and Bitcoin2x after the upcoming hard fork. If you still feel a little bit nervous about it I think you should make some research about the coin market before decided to buy some.

Courage. You need it.
Faith. Most needed of all. Trust will also make it smoother and easier to decide.
Without those you wont take the risk.
But I suggest you do it as fast as you can. The price fluctuates like crazy and no one can tell you a 100 percent accurate answer. It is unknown. Just go for it if you made your choice.

You should buy it somewhere in the future. If I were you I would buy after the 2x fork in November. The bitcoin may deep in price quite a bit, we may see it below $3000 or even lower. That is just my opinion, you should listen to yourself because I am not a financial advisor. But it makes sense to me that after 2x btc will drop just like after fork of bitcoin gold. Some people made more money by just selling their bitcoin at the top and buying back lower than on bitcoin gold.
