I think no because BCH is altcoin is distributed free to users and we will be very difficult to predict this market. For me to invest as many BTC as possible as it will guarantee you good and long term profit
I have a little different opinion in this matter. We all know that bitcoin has the most potential and those who own this digital currency does make huge profits in little time. The earlier someone gets hold of bitcoins, the better are his chances of becoming rich. Also, BCH has not a very bright future as compared to the digital gold. Honestly speaking if I were him, I would have already done the conversion by now.

I will wait until the BTC price falls and trade it with BTC, because I still doubt BCH, anyway you get it for free and who knows you can earn profit by playing safely. BCH could just be a place of speculators and will be left behind by users then get crushed by Bitcoin.

Yep, I got some BCH from the fork as a lot of hodler out there and I'm not sure what would the best thing to do with it (in term of long term return of investement).

I would like to hear the opinion of a few experienced traders on this before making my mind.

If yes, what would be the best way to do this?

Thanks!

BCH is a failed project as it isn´t delivering anything truly inovative over BTC. So people will play around with it and will dump it over time. I dumped mine for BTC and diversified a little to other coins.

I think BCH has some competitive advantages over BTC, such as faster blocks
I'd stick with BCH if I were you
Faster blocks? I was under the impression that bitcoin cash was nothing more than bitcoin without segwit and with 8MB blocks, can you give a link to that info? Or did you meant faster confirmations? Because in theory bigger blocks will give faster confirmations and cheaper as well, but the reason the devs of core were so against it is that will destroy the incentive to run nodes.

I also thought about this problem when I got the Bictoin cash from the hardfork. I converted a portion of it, as I am not very bullish on BCH, for the longer terms I will only hold BTC
It’s is nice move of you converted our bitcoin cash to bitcoins because we all know it is just like other altcoins who are struggling to attract large number of investors. Bitcoins are so far the best option for long term investments since they are not easily destroyable like other assets.

why u need convert this. bch is just an airdrop u dont loss nothing so u can keep it and wait 1-2 year. maybe it can over bitcoin

Well said, holding is the better option, It is free after-all, nothing lost if it tanks. however, If you don't plan to hold it, you can send it immediately to an exchange, possibly in different sets of transactions to protect your privacy.

I think that during a fork the bitcoin will be transferred to the BCH then the price will go up, and then sell on everything. Them certainly better than bitcoin.

You should convert it to bitcoin. It is more ensured in form of bitcoin core than bitcoin cash. Since bitcoin is a leading form of cryptocurrency, it is more reliable and more stable than in bch, which is still new to the community and still gaining its reputation.

I used electron cash wallet. Free btc is pretty sweet.
Free bitcoins are not less than a blessing. Bitcoins at present are among the most important and expensive investments of the world. There is no need to waste money on other coins when such an amazing opportunity of grabbing bitcoins at lower price is available.

I converted mine because I expect Bitcoin to have more longevity than BCH. Of course no one knows for sure and it could go the other way. I look at it as a chance to get some free Bitcoins by converting.

I don't think there is a right or wrong answer now so holding both may pay off later if BCH survives. The only problem with converting for me is that you have to jump through a few hoops but you have to do most of that anyway just to claim the BCH.
I'm holding both, I’m not in the mood to go through all those hoops to get my bitcoin cash, I will do it only if it pumps and then I will sell it and get more bitcoin for it, but at the same time I’m thinking if it would not be a better idea to just hold it, if bitcoin cash disappear I lose nothing since I got those coins for free but if I hold long term maybe I could get good earnings in the future.

best practice for me is to sell all bch and then buy altcoin lot which surely can generate more profit as soon as possible, i still consider the priority for btc although bch is still stable and have lots of fans in market, better play with fast business logic because bch only coins are born with no intention and clear function, bch will continue to exist only because of the whale game.

If you have bch I believe you have btc
Hold both is my recommendation
BCH price has held up quite nicely

If we sell it now, we can benefit more than few days before. Because price bitcoin currently declining, so btc we get from selling bch will be more. And that's my way, because my core goal is have alot btc.
Indeed, it is the right time to get the fruit of our patience. You should sell some of your coins before you are in loss. There are chances of bitcoins touching 5k dollars but still there are two more months to go and I guess there is nothing bad in cashing out some bitcoins and enjoying your hard work.

It does depend since its your own BCH after all. If you dont need money then better to hold it off but if you do need more funds to invest on bitcoin or on other altcoin on your portfolio then better to exchange those bch you had.Just like mine i did sold my BCH when it was still on 500 usd price and buy some cheaper coins in the market. Its a good free money came from my bitcoin holding.I dont have too much interest on bitcoin cash though.
Yes, you can change because scope of BTC is more than BCH and have more chances to earn profit than bch, that will give boost to your business and your trade and you can trade globally. Bitcoins are made for international market and that’s the main reason of their acceptance globally because they don’t belong to any particular state.

No one can speculate or predict what will happen in this crypto world

If you're a long term investor just stick with the TOPs of the cryptos & your good to go (BTC, ETH,...)
If you're a short time investor, try to invest in some of the major promising coins, you'll differently get your investment back in couple of weeks or months at most.
