Currently Pakistan is not suitable to go on vacations. You can travel to Thailand, India and many more which you finds cheaper.
Thais is one of the most friendly Nations so in Thailand is quite low level crimes. Especially in small towns. If you don't want to tempt fate I would choose Thailand. What could be better than relaxing on the beach, cheap seafood. Also there is a very cheap sex services, but it is quite dangerous.
I'm curious, how is it dangerous? Compared to anywhere else.

How can you confuse between those 2 countries. They are totally different. Anyway If you choose pakistan i advise you to see lahore such a beatiful place. And if you choose thailand, and if you like night life you should go to pattaya, But if you go there for sea and nature you should go to phuket or krabi. Most beatiful islands in thailand are between phuket and krabi.

well I haven't been to pakistan but judging from the blogsblog that I've read from people who actually went there already, there are places where you can actually have a safe wonderful trip. of course there will be risks as there are wherever part of the world you go. especially if you're a caucasian venturing into muslim countries. but practicing proper caution and respect towards the locals would most likely get you through in most parts of the world

If you are in mood of adventure and want your adrenaline to be higher than your testosterone/estrogen then you must visit Pakistan. You could have a sight seeing at CPAC corridor, Karachi, even chances are to see places where legend Osama Bin Laden lived "Abottabad".
