First of all, I think we need to invest in altcoyins, in the form of ICO. There you can get a lot of different bonuses!
To invest in the ICO, I advise you not to, at least until such time as they will not be profitable and the amount of fraud is reduced. Investing in Bitcoin is still one of the most relevant and profitable investments.
Even right now it is possible to invest in a new ICOs and get income from it. It is very difficult, but if you can make a good fundamental analysis, you will find potentially strong ICOs. Personally I always analyze such indicators as technology (product) and the team (search information about each person) behind ICO, level of hype, availability participants selection in the ICO for the Whitelist, distribution of tokens, results of pre-sales and so on. Now I rarely participate in ICOs, because of frauds. That's why I prefer to trade through margin trading on those cryptocurrencies which have USD as basis currency and to increase USD via BTC.
Whatever OP mentioned there is huge risk involved in it, the best option we have is to invest in Bitcoin because already the price kept increasing and there is a chance to make some decent profit. ICO and altcoin are very risky if you don't choose the right coin for investing.
Well, now there are very few good ICOS on the market and they are certainly very easy to calculate now , I think you can even invest you will get a good profit
In my opinion, you should invest in bitcoin though there are some altcoins and ICOs which are also good.
In my opinion investing long term is a good option, investing into Altcoins if for more profit and investment would be long term or short term depends on the Altcoin which you select.
Let's understand from the very beginning, for what period you want to invest money. If this is a long-term period, then at the moment I would refrain from ICO.
If you can, you should all what you mentioned accordingly. because from all those 3, you can make profit. it is up to you how you do it, this is where you should use brain how to deal with btc , altcoin and ico.

Only in this case you can have a good profit from Apple companies. As for Bitcoin and altcoins, it is better to invest in the most rated coins, in order to avoid any risk. whatever action is taken, find out more info first. as well as ico, you have to study and analyze more deeply about the project. you can start from google. You can find out also the back-end of the project team. whether competent or not.

agree with you. but to invest in ICO seems not a good choice. currently there are only projects that are not in accordance with the analysis. many tokens are successful at ICO but are destroyed when they are listing in the market.

Buy a coin with a potential is great, especially bitcoin and ethereum because this coin already prove us the potential they have and I believe that soon the price of bitcoin Will increase again and reach the high price.
I would, like many here, invest in 3 directions at once! Why deprive yourself of something, if with the general growth of the market, all investments will be profitable? So just break the budget into 3 parts and do not deny yourself anything)

After this prolonged decline in the prices of the crypto market. I personally would have preferred to invest in BTC and ETH because I'm sure they will increase. While there is a huge risk in ICO projects.

It is really hard to know if the ico is scam or it is a good project so if you are just newbie you should start investing on top cryptos like ethereum or bitcoin and for sure the money you will put can grow or multiply even 2x or it can grow 3x when the market will be green. 
To make maximum profit, of course, to divide money on many types of investment is better and safer, as we know that many choices can be made to develop money and buy bitcoin then hold, invest ICO and buying altcoins that have the potential to skyrocket are things that worth doing.

But this is the least profitable. A more complex path - trade altcoins. In this case, you will have to spend time on the charts analysis. The investment in ICO - the most difficult option. I prefer buying bitcoin at low prices rather than investing in an unproven ICO/Coin.Investing in bitcoin is buying gold/assets and holding for a long term.ICO/alts are like buying penny stocks and praying for good luck.One in 10 altcoin may click and you can't actually predict which one and end up buying/investing in shit coins that will give you negative returns
By seeing the crypto situation as it is today, I think it would be better to invest in BTC and altcoin. The ICO is too risky for now. The decline in ICO prices has an impact on the coin selling process, many of them failed to reach the target, which caused them to fail in paying the participants and investors.
