There are sp many icos out there to invest you money into but not all of them are legit so I cannot say that they are safe to invest because they might scam you and in altcoins of course if you are simply gonna buy altcoins and hold it that is also an investment and if that is what you are talking about then that is a great thing I am sure that the altcoins will rise especially ethereum litecoins and others because they are great and in bitcoins you will always have them if youbare into cryptocurrency. Just invest in all of time equally.

Unless it's "the" project, I wouldn't participate in an ICO. The prices have been plummeting as soon as the coins hit the market. Research the project you like, wait for it to hit the exchange, get it discounted from ICO price.
They all join in ico because they want to get extra bonus and smaller price rather than in exchange. All the project token has value and not all have the same threat.
Now's the time to invest in btc and solid altcoins. Investing in ICOs during the current bloodbath is not the smartest thing to do as most of them will drop below the ICO price once they hit exchanges. My advise would be to pick up old established alt coins which are oversold. They are bound to jump in price once we see the uptrend in global marketcap.
i think you can invest in your own sake investing in ico's is safe but make sure that you know that project and if its a good project to invest, and many altcoins are good to invest too, but for me its good to invest in bitcoin because of its potential to dominate its peak price last year.

Investing in ICO you add more risk to the money you will be investing.
Now, if you pick Ethereum and Bitcoin you will just have to worry about the fluctuations. But somehow it will still rise in price.
ICO's have a larger risk but could give 10x the amount you invested if the service will be really useful. Try to look at PundiX and how it grew from a large amount now. You can see it in red now but it already went up 10x the ICO price.

do some analyzation by yourself, think if investing on ico is better than investing on bitcoin or any altcoin. or it would be better if you will hold btc/altcoin than invest your money on ico.

All we need to do are careful and more on high knowledge and strategy, because knowledge and strategy are keys to become successful on this business. you dont have problem with your investment because bitcoin is never gets a very low price. It will low sometimes but not too much. So i suggest i prefer to invest BTC.

I would better prefer to invest on altcoin primarily with ETH because what I am seeing into this coin is that it is doing good in the crypto market and people loved this coin since they are seeing potential profit with it. Investing ETH is actually a good decision where you are assured of your future profit in the longer period.

if you invested on BTC, ETH,NEO,LTS this type of coins then you have low risk, if you invested on ICOs there high profits and high risk also so its depended by your knowledge about ICOs,
