there is a big sell off last time, but LTC is still one of the top crypto currency. price is stagnant even there is high crypto cap. there is only one way for LTC as of now, it will go up soon!
That dumped will bring a good chance to buy and hold, though there's still a lots pf doubt if how the development of this coin will proceed as the
dev already sold his share and we don't hear any updates until now, maybe timing is very important you should buy at your own risk.

compete with bitcoin? can, but do not expect to replace it. I think bitcoin and litecoin are inseparable, though both have differences. every time i buy and hold bitcoin, i will also allocate a bit of my assets to litecoin.

if you like to buy gold, then you will like to silver.

Litecoin can be a good investment option because it is a coin that has good strength and is able to survive in the market but it seems to be difficult if it has to compete with bitcoin.

Litecoin is a good coin but if you want to compete this to bitcoin in a head to head match-up that's gonna be a mismatch. Yeah any coin can rise to a higher value if it's has a popularity and people will recognize it as a storage value. If litecoin developers can attract more buyers in the coming years this gonna be huge jumps of the value.

A lot of coins have the same transaction speed of litecoin if not even more. Litecoin will grow as a store of value being the silver version of Bitcoin, but this is directly correlated to the growth of bitcoin itself. New investors will come in and see it as a good opportunity to make quick gains, so they will most likely go for litecoin. But a lot of the other altcoins out there have great utility which stands to provide strong competition.

If talking about the current investment is indeed litecoin gives profit greater than bitcoin within a few months. litecoin potential is also very nice in its development. But if you later for the long term I think the bitcoin still more superior than litecoin.

Litecoin will provide higher percentage gains over Bitcoin due to its much smaller marketcap. It is a great buy at these prices that won't stay low for much more time.

Your wrong mate it will still bitcoin that will provide high percentage, even satoshi nakamoto doesn't make any sound to it, also charlie lee,  if your going to check the run you will distinguish that almost the 21 circulating supply of bitcoin has made its 17th so bulish way is on the go, However, fluctuation is still there. You can buy litecoins in a cheap price but it will really take time to increase, because the demand of supply is a little bit unbalance due to new altcoins which has potential rather than litecoin.

Litecoin was one of the first altcoins to appear so it was heavily inspired by the ideas behind Bitcoin. In fact, it is made to be the currency that will address the major drawbacks of Bitcoin. It is 4x faster (2.5 vs 10 minutes for releasing a block) and mining is somewhat easier.
It certainly has been over the years, even though there were short term fluctuations that are inevitable for any currency. But at the end of the day, it has always been in the top 5 cryptocurrencies.
It is traded on almost all reputable exchanges, so it’s very easy to get a hold of it. However with the current price at $151 only did you think it has a high probability of increasing in price drastically possibly competing with bitcoin in the future as a means of storing value??

That will depend on how much money do you have. But if I were you, I am going to buy litecoin because it is a top coin and it is much cheaper than bitcoin. Even though bitcoin is the best crypto coin right now, you shouldn't doubt litecoin because it can also become bitcoin in the next 5 years.

The block size doesn't matter a lot but you must focus on the adoption of the coin. I guess with fail litepay and people are loosing a lot of believe in the litecoin and this time bitcoin gives the more potential compared with altcoin and i guess you should watch it dude. bitcoin will better compared with litecoin.

Litecoin is a useful coin and it should give you profits in the future so I do not see a problem if you invest in it, but you should not have any hopes that litecoin replaces bitcoin, litecoin is almost a clone of bitcoin why do you think that a coin that is so similar to bitcoin is going to replace it? If bitcoin is going to be replaced it has to be by a coin that is many times better than it and right now there is not a coin like that.

If large capital might invest in the bitcoin will feel the results. but choosing the right choice also altcoin because the profit generated from litecoin certainly will be greater when compared to current bitcoin.

Buy The F*cking Dip
Best move right now, invest your money to both cryptocurrencies. Buy a sh*tload of BTC and then buy also LTC. The market right now is very near at the end of its bear cycle and investing into these coins should provide you good profit in the future, once people put their money back again into cryptos. It's just a matter of time when these coins hit ATH again and the right time to stack them up is today, with these cheap prices.

Before jumping in and putting your life savings into cryptosphere, make sure that the money that you'll be putting here are the ones you're not afraid to lose.

Bitcoin was the first, litecoin just copied and modified it. Strange enough, but these kinds of things seem to matter in this community. Creating ltc was a lot easier than coming up with the whole idea of a cryptocurrency. I think the price might return to $300, but litecoin can hardly compete with bitcoin, because it is not much of an improvement in comparison with it. That's why I would recommend you to buy bitcoin instead, but surely that is solely your decision to make.

Litecoin or any other altcoin were mostly created with improvements and intentions of Bitcoin replacements, comparing block speed without doubts Litecoin is faster and that is the creator's goal. In relation to investments put some amount of its amount is not bad or you can invest the most part knowing that bitcoin is up, but it can be a risk that can be studied.

I love Litecoin and it was in fact my very first alt (unless you count Dogecoin, which I actually received as a prize) that I owned, and I grew to like it more and more especially last year when they were the first to do Segwit and pave the way for Bitcoin.

I would not say that faster blocks and confirmations are a good distinction though, since most alts anyway have the same "advantage" but yes it is the true alternative of a payment currency. You cannot go wrong with Litecoin in this regard.

I think Litecoin won't grow in isolation, it has been playing its role of Silver to Bitcoin Gold which I think will remain thesame unless the team have a new roadmap to detach itself from Bitcoin, which will be a difficult thing for the team to implement.

The revolutionary trading ecosystem
It has no chance for competing with Bitcoin with any real meaning in regards to store of value. However, it does provide and act as a testnet for Bitcoin because it is essentially the same. Hence why LN was first released on Litecoin to see if it could work. I would invest in any altcoin generally right now as they stand to gain more than Bitcoin does in these next coming months.

Investing in litecoins is going to give you more income than bitcoin now because we are not going to see bitcoin double in price easyly than litecoin. You can also get more quantities in litecoin with little dollars than bitcoin and both of are healthy. If you have good capital it is better for you to invest into both coins as you will benefit from them in future.
