Sorry I know this is slightly off topic:

Is it a steal to purchase them now or should I give it more time?  I can buy most stocks at around a 10% discount Smiley

I was thinking of using the Robinhood app since they dont' charge fees and do like $100 a month for long term retirement investment.  Dollar cost averaging.

Or is it a gigantic bubble about to burst again?  I got burned bad in late nineties when bubble burst!

Some say that the world economy is close to another recession. If this is true, stocks are not a great business.

On the other hand, Bitcoin is still at special offer: 50% discount.
The beauty of the deal is that Bitcoin has a better chance to grow and when it does, it grows much more than the stocks. All in all, if you chose Bitcoin you have the chance to even cash out the investment and keep invested only the profit before any recession would come.

Good opportunities shouldn’t be something to be taken as a joke. If you see an opportunity to do something, it’s best for you to grab it immediately and not delay even for a single second or you might end up regretting tomorrow.

But sometimes, rushing into things like this might be too risky… so I will also advise you to be careful, but if things are alright, you shouldn’t delay at all. It’s left for youto decide wither you should steal this opportunity and invest in stocks or not, cause tomorrow it might go up. I’m not into stocks, I do cryptocurrencies only. Just saying.

When a stock falls, it's roughly equally likely that it will keep going down as it is that it will go back up; there's almost no (if any) correlation between past short term price change and future price change.

There's still a lot of unrest in the market, and it can continue to fall for a while. However, the risk has definitely fallen, as the prices are now lower than before. I'd go with a strategy where you divide your money up in equal sums and invest at different points of time with a determined interval for about a month or so. This removes a bit of the timing risk.

In my opinion i think this is the right time to buy in stocks now since they are down 10%, but no one can really say what's gonna happen next so it is much better if you decide on your own and consider what goes wrong when you invest in the nineties learn from your mistakes in the past so now you can make a much better decisions.

Just be mindful dude, that not all positions are down because the whole market is down. There are mishandled companies out there so watch out for those. Will be a long bear for them.
That's the mere fact that all of the positions are down because market has been down for this start of the year. It's not about the mishandled companies but it's about the misinformed investors that are believing those news that are coming that intentionally wants to put down every market, stock market, crypto market and so on. This bear will be long though and almost all of the separated markets are really affected.

Investing in stocks is fine but since this is a forum dedicated about bitcoin it is logical most of the users will prefer to invest in bitcoin and other related crypto assets instead of investing in stocks, if we trusted in the system right in front of us we will be invested in stocks already, it is precisely our distrust that prevent us from doing so, now if you want to invest in stocks to diversify your risk then that is a smart move.

I would keep waiting more, too risky right now. According to this article from Investopedia the stock market could keep dropping another 10% (20% total).

Well I was planning to diversify, I need something proven to give me some sort of return in about 20-30 years when I'm older.   I'll be putting plenty into crypto as well.   I like idea of also investing in tangible companies .. brilliant companies like AMZN etc.  AMZN is gonna take over the world I think.. they move into new markets over and over and dominate them.. e.g. books, department stores, internet services and now grocery stores?  It'll never end Smiley

At some point, users will be biased on what they'd advice you, so it's best to just look up the answer yourself or try listening to some talks of investment gurus that holds both crypto and stocks (and gold, if that helps) and see their opinions about the current market trends present on each of the fields that I mentioned. On paper, buying stocks, crypto or whatever it is at a lower rate is the ideal entry point, however, without knowing what direction a market would take, this could end up being bloody or the best decision you've made in your life.

Try listening to Peter Schiff's youtube channel. He's very acurate about stock market and government polices. It's a shame he will try to sell you gold and demeaning crypto.

Go ahead and buy stocks, while in reality your money is going to take a long nap and wake up with a potential few % gain a year or so later. Keep supporting the oldschool elite where the few % stock gains (if you make profit to begin with) won't outperform the loss in purchasing power your capital will suffer from. In other words, (if it wasn't obvious already) my opinion is to not invest in stocks at all, and just use current levels to buy Bitcoin with the free-to-invest capital you have. It's like asking what is faster, me using a rusty bike with a near flat tire to cross a distance of 1000KM, or me using a Ferrari to do so. Easy choice for me, and so should it be an easy choice for you.

Buddy, no one will give you the right message. Make a choice yourself. Do surveillance and conduct market analysis, weigh the risks and think over your decision, make a plan and start acting.
True no one gives you the right answer. So better to have your own research and better to read some books about this. Truly that all must give some risk and I think the fees are needed. In about marketing well I am still learning and saying that you should do it also because this is not all joke we need patient and spend time for us to make a successful transaction and successful coins soon. Better to hold it and wait for the great price to not lose anything.

Sure. It's always good to buy when prices are down. There's nothing to lose. Go with Tesla, SpaceX, Google and stuff.  They're blue chip stocks.

If you believe in cryptocurrency, buy it. This is a good time to enter the position (personally for me). If you don't believe, then don't buy, because you will probably get frightened and close the deal in the minus when the market falls.

I think one shouldn't count on markets being down 10% being evidence they'll soon rise 10% to make you easy money. The 10% decline may be propelled by concerns global over economic slowdown, market stagnation and ultimately: recession. If you've paid any attention to economic analysts and financial gurus who have predicted economic collapse over the past decade, you might know the reason for this.

Crypto currencies have a tendency to auto-correct from dips in price due to them historically being fueled by sell offs and dumps. There's a massive and key difference between a price dip propelled by a sell off and a price decline caused by a price correction. Equities markets don't usually follow the trend set by crypto where price declines are likely to rebound quickly. Equities markets are not historically long term stores of HODL value the way bitcoin used to be and are more prone towards speculation and perhaps determinism in terms of them utilizing P/E and other metrics which do not exist in crypto trading to quantify value.

Of course, everything I'm summarizing changed drastically with the introduction of crypto futures markets and the recent paradigm shift towards bitcoin markets becoming more prone towards speculation.
