If you're good at making predictions then sure go ahead, there people that you can also pay to make predictions for you but if they're wrong you'll have to pay.
You can take those predictions by those people but they are not good most of the time. If you happen to have a wrong absorption of those predictions, you'll have someone to blame.

But if it's only you that picks and then you've got it wrong, you won't feel that bad.

Yes i agree, Taking predictions of others only if you don't trust your instincts more than others, It's much better to learn trading than sports betting.

I'll have to say you're saying the truth, he can waste his time predicting sports matches or he can learn technical analysis and do trading.
But if he can spend the funds with risk and knowledge then why not?

we have told him from the start but it seems like he is not willing to hear our advices ,.

I think that you can spend money on bets that you don't mind throwing out the window with ease.  You must be ready to lose everything that you bet, because this is a very risky undertaking and in this area you need to be an expert in order to earn something.

What actually makes it very risky (aka gamble) is the amount of money or resources a bettor is betting with. If you bet with amount you can't afford to risk then you are taking big risk or you are gambling.
A skilled/talented bettor who is consistently profitable would be taking less risk if he's betting with amount he will likely win than unskilled/untalented bettor betting with thesame amount even if both bettors have thesame amount of money their entire bank savings .

I think it's not an easy thing.
Although it promises high profits, it also comes with high risks

I don't think the right way to make money is through betting. Why not learn a skill and sell value. Why not learn how to invest and trade cryptocurrency.

Both can be learned.

And just as sports betting, you'll learn trading through experiencing it. Getting some resources online about the market and as well as learning to look at the charts and have your own analysis.

Indeed both can be learned and both are somewhat gambling related, Sports betting is openly stated as gambling, how ever trading is also gambling in essence but there are technical indicators that can help you make better predictions then in sports betting.
Trading isn't a gamble.

There's a belief and understanding that because you're also putting your money there on the line and the chance to make and lose, there are those that think that it's a gamble too.

Sports betting? I wouldn't recommend sports betting if you cannot afford to lose money, it's a form of gambling. If you're doing it for fun and have money for fun but no more then yes it's good.
If he knows about one sport such as football and he can collect information about those sports, I guess that he can try to bet on those sports because he can have a chance to win. However, to place a bet on that sport needs more knowledge and while he is a student, I think he does not have to bet at all and focus on his studies.

What you think about it is very important. If you're thinking of doing this business with the hope of making economic gain, don't start at all.

In gambling, you have more chances to lose your money than winning from it so gambling should not be encouraged for someone who wants to earn money with their free time and also it is not really meant for young adults who may get addicted to it very easily and their complete life will be ruined.

And it is very difficult for me to say something about this. But I know that sports betting is popular in the spinoff arena. This is true? Or is there something I don't know? I have a desire to bet on sports, but I don't know where to start.

I cannot call this a full-fledged additional income. Sports bets are often made by those who poorly understand the essence of this business)) However, I have living examples of those who successfully make a stable profit. My friend's son is studying in Eastern Europe now. As far as I remember, he places bets using one of the popular sites like this - https://www.ua-football.com/en/betting/bookmakers/11-parimatch/bonus  Such winnings help him stay afloat. Students always need money. But he makes bets without having a special system and relies only on intuition and his own preferences. I wouldn't bet my money that way. It's easier to buy a lottery ticket.

In sport betting it's not certain that you will always make money. It's all about loosing and winning. Bet for fun and even when you loose it won't make you go mad
But at least sportsbetting is having a Higher percentage of winning compared to luck based games.

You can search for the site in the Gambling thread. Many recommended gambling site which has sports betting so you can start to place your bet. But I suggest you have control of your money because gambling can eat your money without left.

Once you are placing your bet and you win, you will become exciting and maybe you will place for the other bet. You should know when you must stop gambling.
