yes when the market gets too bad the safe way to avoid loosing profit is selling tokens into USDT, by  switching to USDT we can have money to buy more tokens at the lowest price and huge profit when the market recovers. So in many ways using USDT in many cases will bring us safer chance than other methods.

Converting to USDT would have been a good strategy several months ago when the market was going into free fall, but now it is quite pointless unless you are doing short / day trading. If you're a hodler, just invest in the right alts and leave it until the bull run returns, then you will see some great gains

If you are already in alts and you are long-term holder it is a little bit late to sell all alts. IMHO we can see recover at the end of this year and nobody knows when it will happen.

I think that in any case it is necessary to have in usdt portfolio in the amount of 10 percent, given how volatile our market is.

Hello !

Should I sell my altcoins , and switch to usdt , and buy when it will be lower ?
Thanks in advance
In August, it makes no sense to sell their altcoyins and exchange them for USDT, because now the price of our coins and tokens fell by 70 percent or more. At the beginning of the fall of the crypto-currency market, this still made sense, but not now. Now we are waiting for the rise of the crypto-currency market and at the same time raising the price of our crypto currency. Therefore, it is unprofitable to sell crypto currency.

well usdt it's quite stable for a past few bear market months, but i think it's not a wise choice to ride usdt in the next bullrun. even dash was better than usdt

I think that is a good strategy but make sure you have a profit in the portfolio first. If you are losing money, do not sell it. Please continue to hold. In addition, you can add more capital to buy some potential altcoins that are likely to be pumped in October.

I think the value is the same if you exchange it now, but if you exchange altcoin with USD when the price is rising or pumped, then you will get multiple assets when you buy back the altcoin when it's cheap.

Prices of most ALT are already low.
So at the moment it's close to the bottom, and you don't know when you're going to get to the bottom, so I think the best thing to do is hold on.

Yes, it is not a good suggestion to covert them to USDT because right now the prices are very low in the market and it is not a good advice to convert them into USDT value.

if I myself would not sell my assets just to move it to USDT alone, because in my opinion the altcoin would be more profitable than USDT, so I only save altcoin at this time

this is a doubtful payment unit, which is only needed on some exchanges and it is unreliable, I would not have kept a lot of money in it

Always i tell to all want to invest or sell their coins the decision is in the holders, the advice of the members herein forum are a guide of you to decide properly of your coins.

I think your strategy is long term trade so depends on you, altcoins as of now is in the lower value if you think your experience not cut off loses go ahead sell your coins.

The coins you are trading if it keeps going down then you can save the situation by converting it into  Tether without getting out of the market. When the market recovers you can buy back your coins.

This has just been done if you want to just breathe and recover for a while for your position if you know with your conviction using tools that it can go down. So you will switch to this lesser volatility crypto for that matter.

It was necessary to sell earlier, now if you sell, then will suffer losses. It seems to me that already you should not do it. Just wait when your coins grow or there will be their pamp.

switching to USD is the safest way, because now USD has one stable price. so I think switching to USD is the best choice and eliminating the risk of big losses.

I think that now it is no longer worth moving from altkoyinov to dollars. maybe the market has already turned around

Was a need to sell Altcoins before. I would have thought more about to keeping the money in USDT, or it is better to have a few extra transaction  and to go in  USD. The lack of control over the emission of USD  become  embarrass.

It is not good time to sell any coins in this moment, all crypto market is in red and most of coins are at the lowest levels in the past year or even more. But on the other hand you can try to make some profit from this, even you will take some risk with selling now and convert to USDT. In this way you will keep value of your altcoins, but risky part is point when you will buy back those coins.

It is a tricky decision, to hold and watch price drop even more or try your strategy - but this is up to you, unfortunately no one can predict how the situation will develop in the following days or months.
I agree when you say "This is not the right time to sell any coins at this time,". This is an opportunity to collect favorite coins. They must see in September now, that price is starting to improve. I am very grateful.

Now it is not the time to switch to USDT. You could have done that when the price was so high. If you switch to USDT by selling your Alt I don't think it will be a wise decision.
