I personally don't think ICO should be put to an end. The truth still remains that there are  a lot of scam project out there.  A little bit measure would be appreciated if possible.  It is very sad and frustrating reading the news headlines about people being scammed of their hard earned money. The rampant occurrence of scam project in the crypto industry, I feel to some extent is one of the reasons for the market situation. A lot of investors have lost huge amount of money investing in scam project. Everyone is scarred to invest in even the real project for the fear it might be scam.

My answer to this topic is a simple no, ICOs should not be put to an end but there should be a measure put in place as to product investors from most of those scam projects.

Actually yes. They will end their lifes soon. And after them will be STOs. This will be more secured to investors. And amount of frauders will be minimal. But, there are some still good ICOs. For example from Huobi Russia. Local department from Huobi Global.

It seems to me that there are new projects everyday in this Crypto industry. This has made me to think about the total number of fiat currencies in the world. I got to know that there are about 180 fiat currencies recognized by the UN.  CMC recognizes 2094 cryptocurrencies as at now.  Looking at the difference, do you think it'll help us to compete with fiats?
How does the numerous cryptocurrencies affect the growth of our Crypto industry.
Will putting an end to ICOS do something good in the crypto industry?

Indeed this is a free market, but it would be nice to limit anyone who wants to develop coins so that there is no deception and danger to everyone in the world because it becomes a very serious negative effect when most people feel tired of fraud everywhere, maybe that will be implemented in the next few years when the development of cryptocurrency is better and more recognized by other countries, but there is no full cryptocurrency control, everyone is aware that not all agree to be held by the government.

To compete with Fiat it is not too strong to talk about it at this time, returning to the recognition of other countries to legalize it is not possible at this time, maybe in the future with all the technological advancements in the world it can be a very good time in payment or a very profitable alternative , we just wait for all the processes needed to take care of all that, don't be discouraged in this situation.

More ICOs I think are going to be more and more since its easy for start up companies to ask funds through it. WE haven't seen it all because networks were created for it that brick and mortar business are going to also release tokens for investors. Its all going to work when no regulations yet.

Of course, not many from the existing coins or tokens will survive in the market for a long time. Probably in a few years most of them will not exist anymore. The token is a bit different financial instrument - I would compare it to the shares of companies, and there is a lot of comapnies on stock exchanges around the world - a lot more then 120 currencies in the world. The number of tokens can still grow without problem.

not ico is one of the profitable ways to make money. as long as investors are still investing in ICO, ico will not be able to die. this is the problem of scammers using this to enrich themselves. they only want to cheat investors by using ICO.

so the way to end ico is to stop investing there.

Despite the fact that on SMS we can see several thousand currencies - this does not at all mean that they are all the same in quality, the vast majority of the projects there are copies of already existing coins. And by and large they can all be replaced by several dozens of altcoins, and we will not lose anything from this. Time will put everything in its place.

I doubt and don't believe ICO has to come an end. Its not because bear market has been running for almost 12 months ti doesn't mean it their end. Of course not! it is actually just the beginning of the rising of the altcoins through ICO projects, which in my point of view it will innovate more in the ear future as well.

What you should know is that the cryptocurrency industry is a decentralized industry that can not be control by any body or institutions and that has make ismt a free market where any one can develop any project without any restrictions and that is the major problems we a facing in the cryptocurrency network today lots of ICO projects and most of them without any working projects

I think yes, but it seems difficult. as long as there are still projects that use ICO to raise funds. this will continue to exist, so the first thing to do is to support a new project to use STO if he wants to raise funds. STO is a good solution for now, with guaranteed funds that investors have, they will trust the new project more.

I do not think the ICOs disappear, I think they will evolve and they have already done so. Doing a successful ico now requires many more attributes than the first ones.

Though I am not a fan of ICOs, but we need ICOs to increase the crypto market popularity widely! But, I think STO could be better, without regulations, almost all new projects are coming to scam people's money. So, overall, ICO should be ended and we need regulations for the token sale! 85-90% projects were scam last year, so ICOs are not a good thing anymore, we need the real projects, so, only regulations can protect investor's money.

It is not about putting an end to them ICOs.
Yes I see there are a lot of them but the problems is us. The investors and supporters.
Why do we keep on supporting a failure. Yes we know which of them will fail with just looking at their whitepaper. Most of them are just copies of the past ICOs. Why stay and still support them if you know you are just wasting time.

If we can somehow enlighten newbie investors to be wise into picking then it wont go to this large amount of projects being created.

in my opinion ICO doesn't need to be closed in full, it's just that there must be a new policy about this, because of course we want a clean and regular blockchain environment. This policy can also minimize the spread of scam ico. Because there's still good potential for ICO to keep growing

ICO'S actually bring somethinf new infront of us which brings revolution and also the use and demand for cryptocurrencies rises up as the market cap goes up. This is good for cryptocurrencies but not good to compete with fiat. The circulation for Fiat currencies are been handled and managed by the government of the appropriate country but it is completely different with cryptocurrencies as there is no law and regulations for cryptocurrencies due to being fully anonymous and decentralised.
Increasing number of altcoins is not that bad for the markets as it also creates a lot of opportunity for trading, investing, mining, etc.

Nope, ICO should continue and must be regulated.
There are so many upcoming project which will change the world to a better one.
They need to be funded and share to all the people of the world. regulation is the one missing to get away those scammers.

If we really need a regulated ICO, then let's accept that ICOs should be abandoned and welcome STOs which are much more regulated than that of ICOs. ICOs are part of the long bear market we are experiencing at the moment. They stole most of the innocent man's money and they are now cashing out which is the effect we are seeing.

Why should it be done? I mean a lot of projects on the market are trash at the moment, but if you search better, you can find great ICOs that have a huge perspective to become really big in the nearest future.

It's hard to end ICO because this is needed to fund the project/development to develop real usecase unless there's a unverified ICO's that's high risk of getting scammed. Make sure to check the team members if they do KYC verified, company address/country and also the founder who runs the project. What if the project is funded by the founders owned money and the project was failed, probably the founder will get big loss of investment.
