Depends on the cryptocurrencies that have gain more in price in thesame amount of time. If Bitcoin is doing well since the beginning of this year then I think it is time to move most of your funds to Bitcoi... about 70% maybe
Bitcoin price has been moving consistently since this year while altcoins movement have been irregular & weak

better sell off all your ripple because it will soon dump more. i did advise to get more BTC If you can and sell off your ripple because ripple is not worth holding. it remains on a stable price and might even go down more.

I think it is better to hold for now than be hasty on selling that. I would place my money on bitcoin but that is because for now, that is what I can afford. If I will be able to invest some of my money on other crypto currency, I would but I don't think I would move that quickly. Just wait for now, keep on waiting, be calm and just make a strategy not only one but several of them based on the movements that will happen so if that will happen, you are ready to make a move and execute your strategy.

XRP or altcoin usually are riskier than bitcoin because you can see most altcoin's price movement are extreme

If you ask my opinion, just convert it into BTC because I have earn more than you can earn with XRP !

XRP is good if you use it for transactions, as here, everything will be faster and cheaper. I do not think that Ripple can be a very good investment now. Bitcoin is definitely the only one cryptocurrency, which will always control the market, and which has much more chances to grow. I would not quite of all Ripple tokens, but at least 70-80% of them should be exchanged for BTC.

I have a little story if we talk about XRP, I have been working in new company in my country and some people know I'm crypto user so as they told me about their experiences when investing on cryptocurrency especially Ripple at 2017 ago. One of them took a decision to invest on XRP which is she buys on $1 if I'm not mistaken, and she just happy when her money has trippled and she was greedy until she took a decision to hold for long term.

But now she is regreting just because her money has been burning a lot and there is no way to do unles she keeps them on the wallet. I have a conclusion for this point, I know XRP has a potential to stay longer on crypto market but I doubt its price will goes up again and even I believe the ATH last year will never touch again. Yeah, I will agree with you to choose bitcoin rather than XRP even most altcoin who have said by many people that the altcoin is have potential.

Hi guys ! Thats a question i do to myself very often , and it always looks like the right answer. My main coin for now its XRP (like 3000) and a very few BTC (0.005).

I hold XRP from long time but i see BTC price raise a lot and XRP don't do much. They have a consolidated project but no matters what BTC price its still mandatory.

So the question is , should i sold like 2500XRP and buy BTC when this one have a price drop?

I know its something i had to decide myself , just looking for what you guys think.
Thanks!

It all depends on you, if you have been holding xrp for a long time and feel it is currently down, it's a fact that bitcoin is also experiencing the same thing. if you move it also to btc it will not affect anything because everything is down right now. with the token that you have, I hope it is still placed in xrp, sure xrp will move back up like btc.

Don't sell your XRP right now if you believe that coin can increase in the next months or next year. You should hold XRP for more because who knows, XRP price can be back to the higher rate. We don't know what will happen with XRP in the future, but I think it could be one of the potential coins in the market which can give you a big profit again. Maybe you can buy more XRP so you can have a bigger amount of XRP and it's ready to sell at a higher price.

I would like to risk my investment in bitcoin rather than XRP though. I know how bitcoin works and you only need patience to survive. I know that bitcoin will always go on its peak but just a matter of time unlike XRP which is more unstable. I advice to change into BTC mate.

Since your main coin is xrp, it means you trust it very well. I think the best answer will come from you. It's your asset afterall. You can try selling your xrp to buy btc but not to the point you'll sell everything since as what you've said it's your main. But practically speaking, bitcoin is doing well compare to xrp so should also consider it.

Which one does it look profitable? Not keeping the doubt that Bitcoin did well and all say it was the most profitable coin in the market. No wonder that XRP never shows big pumps just because it is a decentralized platform. No matter how long you keep your XRP in your wallet never expect that you will be much profitable than of holding BTC. I have to say that, don't lose your opportunity with Bitcoin and take this chance rather than to keep XRP.

Don't sell it until you think that you really wanted to sell it because you've earned something. Next time, just go and invest in BTC, don't think why not the x coin , just invest in it OP. I never invested in XRP before even when I was day trading in Binance before. It might just because it wasn't doing that great. In the end, BTC is still like my home in terms of like default investment.

sometimes some of our thoughts become rushed when we see the current situation. Well, I am also aware that XRP has not shown a very good development this year. I might be waiting for a slightly higher price than now. however, XRP will definitely recover when bitcoin returns. Yeah, but if you are impatient with that, I don't think exchanging XRP for bitcoin is a bad idea.

If you want my subjective opinion, XRP is a shitcoin. It became popular as a hedge for BTC investors, but IMO that's all it was and all it's ever going to be.
Why did you buy XRP in the first place and not BTC? XRP is a centralized coin, as opposed to BTC, and something banks and institutions were supposed to prefer for payment purposes. It was to be a kind of crypto paypal, cheaper and faster, but the one that was going to work out only if other centralized cryptos don't. With all the talk about Libra XRP lost a large portion of its value and will keep losing as new stablecoins emerge.
That said, I would keep my BTC to XRP ratio at 50% at the very least. If you are at 95% XRP right now you're doing it wrong.

Just hold your xrp because a lot of big companies and banks already implement xrp as their payment option, it will take sometime but when bullrun starts with xrp your 3000 holdings will give you good profit in the long run. Just be patient and wait for the right time to sell.

ive seen some threads that have the same question as you but my always advice that i give to them including on you is that you should never sold the existing coins you have just because you wanted to buy other coins because that wont make sense at all  . you cant earn that much if you do that or worst you can only loose more  .  better if you can only keep the other coins that you have and use your own money ( the fiat one ) to buy btc  or any other cryptos that you want as addition to your portfolio .
