Whatever you do people always dump the coin after ICO and initial release on exchange. So you can't do anything.

This is a broad and interesting topic in which people's choices are divided.

But what really is the correct choice?

For me , the answer is YES . There are a lot of tokens out there that dumps hard after the first exchange because most people are scared that the price would go down after. A lot of tokens also disappear ICO which results from whale investors to quickly dump it after ICO and observe the trend of the token and the activities of its developers. If you are a plankton like me, the best thing you should do in my opinion is to dump after ICO and buy at the dip and sell later at a higher price, most tokens have this kind of trend after ICO.

Let us also hear about your thoughts. To dump or not to dump after ICO ends?

It depends on many factors. If the price already dumped, it's hard for me to sell it. I usually wait for the next wave.
Patience is key, except you not really trust the future of the project.

Not all the time. How many ICO did you invested? How many ICO you followed? Because I also know many ICO that actually went shooting up when it entered in exchanges. Many of them are even still more expensive than their ICO prices despite the current market trend.

To dump or not to dump? And your answer is yes.  Huh Anyways if you're going to ask me about my strategy we do have the same strategy but I based it on the project itself if i'm going to dump it or hold it, in my experience as an investor there are times that the ICO or tokens price is increasing.

I think the reason why most of the tokens are being dump after ICO is because of the bounty participants who sell their token at the time when they received it because they're afraid that their reward will dump if they hold it.

This is a hard question to be answered. It really depends on a coin's quality. For example, Quarkchain has been such a good coin so even now it should be in deep hodl.

Yes dumping the coins after the ICO is good to make profits from your investment but it is really not good for that project because when the price falls too much then that project might fails too.And some tokens will go to moon in few months after the ICO so it all depends and the quality of the project and little bit of luck too.

my opinion.
mostly yes.
more more ICO , after end ,then got the token , then got listed market.
and dump get ready to start.
but that's mostly because the base price at ico time is very fluctuating.
for example.
some investor buy some eth on rate 400usd then invest to some ico.
after ico ended, and he calculating he already got profit on usd based,
then he sell it,
but in eth based he not get ROI
because eth is already stronger to USD.
and the investement price weakened against eth after on market.
and many many reason more.
the point it's
hit-wait-sell-run-find another-back to hit. Grin
just my opinion Grin

I think immediately dumps the coin may not be a wise action. It is true that most ICO now might tends to drop in prices after release, but maybe we need to check on their trends and the market responses first. When an ICO  had a good product, the prices will be bounce back eventually, who knows we might have a bright future with their coins in our wallet

The starting cycle for altcoin is too predictable, almost every coin faces sharp drop after listing. But there are few that gone 10X, 20X etc after the dump period. It still depends on the fundamental aspect, sad too say, 90% of there are just pure shitcoins.

what you do after the ICO is entirely on you, most people chose to sell but come to think of it, you might just be missing out on a product that might have been a success in the future, i suggest you hold on to these coins and see how much value they can attract

For me, it depends if you believe in the project and the price is way below the ICO , instead of dumping, why not accumulate more and sell it when you reach 10x from the ICO or 5x the ICO price. But if the listing/selling price is above the ICO price then it is its really up to holder it he wants to sell or not.

hold back and not hold it.
hold it if we have a coin that is still below the price of ICO, and let go if it has exceeded the price of ICO,
and all return to our respective questions whether we survive if the price falls or we will hold it even
though its price has exceeded the price of ICO.

Some experienced that kind of situations wherein most of the coins were actually dumping, as in seriously dumping after the ICO launch. But then again, they were still coins that are continue flying even after the ICO. So, if I may just advice, you should sell half of it after the ICO and hodl another half to just not regret whether it may dump or pump.

Generally speaking, there is a good price on the exchange of modern COINS.
So I'm going to sell the token immediately, so I'm going to keep it at a favorable price.

Honestly things have really changed now, before there were ICO that you can hold with a promising future. Nowadays most of the ICO are not advisable to be held because once they get to the market, their price start falling.  However, if you're lucky to get out of the few good coins, why not hold them?

If it is a good ICO, why dump? Most probably the price will rise at least in bull market. But if these are shitcoins were talking about, then you might as well dump, because those will be probably worthless within a few days after hitting an exchange. Their price will drop and probably never ever rise again.

Personally, i agree with you. I also doing a dump when the ICO ends. Because most of ICO that i join are below from initial listing price. And i don't want to make the same mistake again. And to avoid that, there no other way except to dump that ICO. But if the ICO looks promising, i'll try to hold as i can. But that is very rarely.

Depends on the ico, if it's a good ico then hold it

Quite a controversial issue. After all, the token can appear on the exchange and go straight up. In your example, you simply will not be able to buy token with in a similar situation. Personally, I hold them.

Often there is a drawdown after the ICO. Therefore, it is often more profitable to buy tokens from the exchange after the ICO. Purchasing an ICO, and then selling and rebuilding - is also a good strategy
