SOL is down from $279 to $171. The sharp fall of a coin, which is in the 5th place in the stock market ranking, is remarkable and leaves a question mark in mind.

Why?because SOL is known as a ethereum killer and because of how it skyrocketed and reach all time high values in just a short of time? I think its not a big reason in my personal opinion wherein to switch from trusted crypto in the market  to a new projects that making hypes. Indeed bitcoin and ethereum always can guarantee good return when it comes long run and its proven and tested how about SOL?. LOL think about it mate.  Cheesy

Never try all in one coin, even though it is a solana coin, BTC and ETH cannot be equated with SOL which is the only trend this year. the existence of BTC and ETH is very strong in the crypto market even though the technology is still not updated but for the safest investment is BTC and ETH. If you have enough money, you can buy solana without sell BTC and ETH

I think holding bitcoin and ethereum is safer, even though Solana looks promising but the 2 biggest coins namely bitcoin and ethereum are the ones that control the market, moreover the market is still not recovering so I prefer to hold ETH and BTC rather than switch to Solana.

Of course, Bitcoin and Ethereum are the most stable on the market, because they have been there for the longest time. Unfortunately, they do not have as much potential for price increases as newer projects. If someone wants to earn more money, he should just risk investing in projects such as Solana.

If there's one coin that I would sell to buy Solana (SOL) then it's going to be ethereum and bitcoin. Because while ethereum is also in the top promising altcoins, its market is having a very hard time right now in the past few weeks and months as I observed it. Also its gas fees is really quite expensive so instead of making more profits, it's deducted by the high fees so you'll end up dealing it and have lesser profits. Solana and Cardano is the best altcoins to buy now, and I'm also investing in those said markets.

Good for long term or brief term investment?
It's good for long term and you can try to compare Solana's marketcap with bitcoin or ethereum. Solana needs a lot of ROI to make the marketcap to be the same like bitcoin or ethereum. That means if the potential of Solana to go to the moon will always there. The sky was the limit but that would be more reasonable if we are using bitcoin marketcap as a limit that can be achieved by any crypto.
This one is good for long term investment and I'm thinking if it's not a good decision to keep your money on bitcoin and ethereum while both already have very big marketcap.
More marketcap and less room to growth and you can imagine when Solana can have the same marketcap like bitcoin and ethereum. That will be going so big.

Solana could be a unused promising altcoin that outperformed dogecoin to be positioned up to seventh put on CMC. And based on its cost final Admirable 15 2021 it is as it were 44$ and presently its current cost is 157$ based on that super Sonic cost development from 44$ to 157$ for just one months, I think Solana is sweet for brief term venture, what would be your bits of knowledge almost this folks.

There's an uncertainty among alts when the bears comes in, they tend to lose more of their market value compared to Bitcoin. Even Ethereum in the past has the same fate as the other alt, therefore having to sell you Bitcoin is already a wrong move. Buying Solana now won't be advisable as well, I could be wrong and itt does moon in the coming weeks but in the long run it'll fall together with the market as it get corrected.

During this corrections is when it's best advise to get in and hold until the next bull cycle begins. Solana has an interesting concept they're working on and it would be worth betting on but not at the risk of Ethereum or Bitcoin. This are two coins you shouldn't sell but just keep holding. The whole cryptocurency space was built around this two coins and they'll always maintain their dominance.

Ttuth be told, Solana has just grown too fast for anybody to sell their holding of either bitcoin or ethereum which are not only the popular coins but also have one of the biggest communities to help them grow.
My advise would be if you have ethereum or bitcoin hodl and dont sell either of them...  let solana be a seperate invest and compare them at the end of your desired period.

Conversion is one of the best strategy in engaging for crypto investing because we know how currency moves here and there in favor of some while falling for some so best to convert the coins to others.

But Bitcoin and Ethereum? why would you? instead of converting why not use you other funds such as Fiat in buying Solana than making this wrong action .

SOL coins are very good to invest in the future but if you have to sell BTC or ETH I think it's not worth it maybe if you already have BTC and ETH keep holding them and look for other sources of money to buy SOL because indeed these three coins will be very promising for the future.

Solona is not a good alternative, better to look for small marketcap altcoins. The main issues are still there, you have to be careful with low marketcap coins btw, the scam projects can trick new investors for robbing their last penny. ADA looks sweet at this price point.
ADA and SOL are both ok to me, so this could be the option if ever and for me, I will not sell my Bitcoin and ETH just to have SOL since those top two coins are still prefer by many but if you see big opportunity with SOL, they buy it beside its the top 5 coin as of the moment and it numbers are doing good as well, I’m amazed on the numbers of SOL compare to ETH, it continues to increase this could be an additional factor to buy SOL.

All of them are good for long term IMHO. You should hold any of them if you want to but if I've got bitcoin and ethereum, I'll keep them.

This.

If you hodl, nothing is sure in crypto and you could make a mistake . If you trade/swap your coins, you can make not one but two mistakes. IMO, If you like SOL buy it with fiat so it is still a fiat vs crypto bet, because to me, the more derivatives you add, the more difficult to win: you still bet vs fiat (crypto is always a bet vs fiat) + vs BTCÐ or whatever the coin you decide to liquidate.

And don't forget that, in many jurisdictions, every time you make a transaction between coins you are creating a taxable event that could lead to an unwanted surprise.

They have really said it is running wastefully at this moment, and ought to just get quicker as upgrades are made. It's dependably better to keep the two and to add some other, simply add and don't sell the other for another. Possibly for merchants viewpoint can do short to medium rush to acquire benefits.

I would not ever do that. Do you know the difference between centralization and decentralization? Bitcoin is 100%  decentralized crypto currency and ethereum is also vey much decentralized. Solana on the other hand is not purely decentralized and that's why you find the speed of SOL transactions much faster as compared to the bitcoin/Ethereum.
I would suggest you to keep all three of them in your portfolio.

I may consider selling some of my ETH and BTC to buy solana , but not in season like this in which all the coins are going down.
because I am sure that BITCOIN AND ETHEREUM  will climb first even before solana make its way up.
this means one thing that if that happens i may sell some of my coins to buy solana before it bumps up.
that strategy is worth a try than doing it now.
but certainly i am willing to adjust my folio to make way for SOL that is indeed may happen.

Solana is worthy to invest in for long but no need to sell either of your BTC or Ethereum unless there's no other way to buy Solana but to sell some of your hold assets. Others are also doing that way in anticipation that investing in Solana right now will give them a nice profit in the future.

In the end, it's really up to you if you decide to sell some of your BTCs or ETHs. You can also consider not to sell them all and just a fraction of it if you are hesitant to do so. It's still good that your investment is diversified that putting all of it in a single basket.
I also have the same sentiment, I rather allocate extra fund for buying SOL instead of selling the top assets that I already have.

Bitcoin and ETH are proven long-term investment, and if I will use SOL as also for long term I will add up to
my wallet and allocate additional money to fund for SOL.

We all do have our own opinion about our investment but in considering SOL, I will agree that it's one of
those profitable assets around this market.

If I have many ethereum and btc, maybe I will sell some ethereum to buy solana but that depends on how deep the solana price because if the price is not down too deep, I will not buy solana and will not sell ethereum or btc.
Solana can be good for long-term investment but I still prefer bitcoin and ethereum but bitcoin will be my long-term investment besides altcoin so if I want to buy solana, I will wait for a while and check how will be the trend.
If you want to gamble by selling your ethereum and buying solana, you can do that but you need to have a good reason why you do that because solana and ethereum will depend on how good bitcoin price is moves.

Why would I? having Bitcoin and Ethereum is already the safest and promising investment we can ever had so why in the world we will be considering selling our precious coin Over SOL(Solana)?

No i will not and will never be, yeah i believe in Solana's capacity and future but i am more on assurance in which Bitcoin and Ethereum can give me.

I need not to worry even if i hold long term not like In Solana that can be dead in the future who knows?

I agree solana could be worthy for long run but can't give assurance for it but easily for eth & btc. Cause in reality, future is unknown and unexpected. Last few years, lots of altcoins come next to eth but dumped from that position, some lost their whole Identity. So no guarantee solana could be best instead of them. You may sold portion of btc, eth for sol but selling whole share is suppose to be foolishness
That same belief as i am , assurance is what we wanted here in crypto.

though we are willing to risk but BTC and ETH is the safest we can find in this volatile market.

If you have bitcoin, then keep holding it. Don't sell your bitcoin for any other altcoin. Bitcoin will give you good profit in the long run. If you can afford to invest in Solana, then use your money to invest in SOL, not by exchanging bitcoin. I would say the same for Ethereum. Hold your Ethereum. Don't spend any of it. Eth2.0 and sharding is very promising. When those upgrades rollout, the fee should significantly go down to a reasonable level. People would be hoarding ETH before the eth2.0 launches. That would cause the price to go up (make sure you do your own research).
