The same thing happens and happens in the market. They will recover for sure soon but also bitcoin will crash to below maybe even $4000.

If Bitcoin crashes, altcoins will even crash more. People would want to turn their btcs into fiat in fear of btc never reaching these highs again (lol).

Altcoins will start to recover when the volume on btc drops and it starts to calmly move sideways.

When are altcoins going to go up again?

Bitcoin goes up. Shouldn't that help them recover?
Relax mate, just some patience! That is all you need. I know sometimes it can be quite appalling looking at the upward trend and how bitcoin usually pull alts with it either during bullish or bearish trend. However, it may still take some little time most especially since the cloud is not even clear with bitcoin itself. I have been eagerly waiting too and it has been annoyingly crazy looking at them dancing around the bearish level instead of picking up a bit. What can we do, than to wait?

Nothing will help it to recover but itself. It will take time to recover. No disease can be recovered immediately. Bitcoin has a different story, bitcoin can recover in a fast speed because of its user but altcoin needs time. And nothing to worry because there is a day after every night.

When are altcoins going to go up again?
when they really bottom out.
right now most altcoins are still in big bubbles despite their prices dropping (seemingly) hard. these need to really burst and the price needs to go down to the normal price levels which is in balance with their real demand.

by then you can expect "recovery" and until then you can only expect "dead cat bounce".

no, if anything that will push them further down. because when bitcoin rises the traders may even leave the altcoin market to buy more bitcoin before it is too late.

October and november are all about Bitcoin and his/her forks ... after that more focus will come on altcoins again.
All of people will focus to get the bticoin as much as they can because that will be generated the more free money for them all just like what already did by the bitcoin cash to all of the bitcoin holders at august.
This month will make everyone scary.

If we don't see projects been built behind them, why to see a recovery?

Some will, but some will just go beyond the red line of the bottom.

It depends on market behaviour before the hardfork. If there will be uncertainty about Segwit2X or Bitcoin Gold hardfork will be successfuly advertised the price of atls should be dumped soon imo.

I think the altcoins will need some more times, before they can take off again. But I am sure it will come sooner or later! Smiley

If you are expecting a June-July type pumps you might be in for a disappointment. At the moment there is no no money coming into crypto and only old hands are exchanging their coins. Unless we have new input of money, we will not have crazy pumps. If bitcoin crosses 5000USD, we all will become rich Smiley

The price of altcoins really does varies depending on the price of bitcoin but the gap is just the same. Altcoins have there own way controlling how their price increases. Altcoins just need investors and altcoins also must have good blocks to entice miners in their own ways. A lot of platform and multimarketing altcoin are appearing and it is a competition between them if they really dont have enough investors or supporters.

When are altcoins going to go up again?

Bitcoin goes up. Shouldn't that help them recover?
Most of the altcoins can be termed as shitcoins. Since people don't use it for than few months, just buy low sell high then dump the coin and move to the next one. So obviously they are not going to rise. There are only few altcoins which can be said to be altcoins, like ETH LTC etc the popular ones that people atleast consider holding, will go up sooner or later, BTC's uptrend always influences them.
All altcoin determined as shitcoin only yes that was the reason for why it become and yet some of it go to bitcoin just to earn more and a lot of pr.

History tells that cryptos can go through ice ages which can last years, so there is no way to know in advance. But this year they have to be so bullish that the danger of even grower correction is very high.

Eh, it takes time for these things to happen. Sometimes I will notice a really good project and wonder why no one is investing in it and a week later its up 200%. Just wait, waves take time to travel.
That is a fantastic user name, just have to tell you that.

I don't see a logical reason why altcoins should go up, as most of them aren't being used
for anything useful, and people are just looking to dump them on anyone who will pay more
for them.  That's the 'greater fool' theory of investing.

There's no reason bitcoin itself should keep rising either, if you think about it.  Not many
people are spending it, and I think the adoption rate by new people has been pretty
stagnant.

Bitcoin and ALT coins have no future and your promoting alt mining ICO's.
I can not stop laughing

As far as there is no reason like btc gains strengths, alt coins won't have any power to recover. so the mother stands up and the kids after that.

I found an older post here from last JULY, like 2 month ago regarding ARK. People were complaining about ARK price is stuck at 70c, and they were wondering when it will get to $1 level.  Where is ARK now?  Just learn to wait and buy low. This is my 2c.
