Do you have link to the ASIC units.  I haven't heard a lot about them.  I'm working on getting a few rigs set up over the next couple of weeks.  How many boxes could you host?

I'm in seattle, I don't pay for my electricity.  Looking to go in on mining equipment/hosting for others.  Anyone want to pool money for one of those ASIC units?

Neighbor and myself are mining out in Snoqualmie.  I'm currently working on developing a desktop charting/trading tool for the major bitcoin exchanges.

I know of one other guy mining away down in Lacey (near Tacoma) ...
Lacey is as close to Tacoma as Seattle is... it's basically Olympia East.  I don't mine yet, but I'm near there.

Hey, consider using the new www.bitcoinlocator.com to broadcast meetups.

Seems we have enough people to have a meetup.

OP (me) is too lazy/busy to organize. Anyone feel free to take the reigns.

Starbucks' headquarter is in Seattle and we should convince them to accept BTC as a valid payment...

not to be too segrationalist here but maybe we eastside miners (bel/red/wood/etc) could do a meetup that doesn't involve a tolled or highly trafficked bridge. And we have dozens of Starbucks to choose from (NE 85th FTW) as well as any number of Panera's or common areas at Bellevue Sq, Redmond TC or Crossroads (Chess anyone?). I know I'm much more likely to attend something that doesn't involve finding parking in Queen Anne after crossing 520 to do it (no offense Seattle-ites).

mods: Can this thread be moved to the newbie section? Some people would like to post here, and they currently can't.

So the meetup time is last Friday of each month ,10am? Well, I need to go to work (and mining bitcoin is not my main business Smiley

I didn't set that time/place, and I've never showed up there at that time, because I too have a day-job.

It's a wiki, so I guess anybody can change it that wants to. I probably wouldn't be able to make a monthly meeting, but I'd try to get to a one-time event, or the first monthly meeting.
