Step1: "Mateo" knows server seed. Simulates 1M bets. Bets only a certain sequence of Hi with positive profit.
Step2: "Mateo" knows his life is in danger. He "looses" (=gives back) some.

edit: as far as I can see... more then 4k btc wagered in 0.5btc  49.5% Hi bets . (8k bets...)
edit2: it stopped briefly at 5k btc wagered, 10k bets at 20bets/s. site's profit from 160 to 230. Now he's doing 1btc bets...

I am going to agree that this is getting really sketchy. I really hope that this was just a mayor screw up, but my belief in that is decreasing rapidly.

I'm only a small investor on the site.  Wouldn't risk losing a lot of bitcoins through fraud, and my caution seems to have been rewarded.

I deposited just 0.975 total into the site when the overall profit was negative.  Now the profit is sitting on 161 and I have LESS bitcoins than when the site was reporting a loss.  How does that work?
I'm in a similar situation.  I'm sure the profit of the site was around 10-20 when I invested 30BTC.  The site profit is 166BTC now, and yet I could only divest 28.9BTC Sad

Because when the profit went from 0 to 250, there was around 6000 BTC invested (you collected around 0,5% of the profit)

and when it went down from 250 to 165, there were less than 1500 BTC invested (you "financed" more than 2% of the losses)

thats because the recent massive loss happened while the bankroll of the site crashed, so you were exposed a lot more to the loss than you were on the profits.  If the invesment dropped from 7500 to 1500.. you could have increased your stake in the sites bankroll by 5x...  which could account for your loss...

Every morning I copy/paste stats from a few dice sites for my records.
Would those records happen to go back as far as August 12th?  If so could you let me know the site profit for DB on that day please?

Sure, I agree. It looks bad. But the chat was disabled right? Somone might have missed the whole drama for example.

It's at least possible that someone won 100 BTC. It's not unheard of.

No, not only did the chat get disabled (this is defendable) but the ability to look up other user's bets have also been disabled. The latter implicates DiceBitco.in in covering up their 'rogue employee'. They've also refused to provide any details of such employee, and have previously publicly said that they're the only two people working on it.

Still, I agree, but I'm saying a whale could have happened. It's not impossible and we can never know the truth there.

But it looks worse and worse. I'm happy I got out before the 'whale' anyway.

Not trying to spread fud but on open investment dice sites, big whales winning is always sus.  The site owner can be the whale, checking the seeds and predicting the rolls with no repercussions.  And you think you can trust someone because they have a lot of posts on a forum?  You don't actually trust them, you are just greedy and hoping they don't scam you.
They have a DiceBitco.in signature and are hoping that they get paid out, silly Tongue

I think the signature campaign will still be paid out because the funds are escrowed by bitcoininformation, even though they should remove it immediately.

Same case for me.
As an investor, i was positive at around BTC0.10 and when i withdrew today i lost BTC0.19...

@Dicebitco : What do you planned for investor loss? (My DB account : Teddy76)

Why do you think they should give you money? I don't get it.

Because it can be reasonably concluded that through argument by elimination, the 'whale' is most likely to be DiceBitco.in themselves wiping out the investor profit. I'm open to your thoughts on why someone would continue to bet on the site Wink

Just to set the record straight: it was players who lost coins. Investors actually gained coins, at least until mateo recently whaled some off.
That's why the speculation is that 'mateo' is DiceBitco.in themselves. They might have the premise that the rigged profit wasn't supposed to have happened, so think it's OK for them to reclaim it underhandedly.

Think about it.. who the fuck would keep betting on a site that just rigged rolls, with people complaining about withdrawal delays, and the dust not settled? Would any rational whale keep betting instead of withdrawing what they had? Wink
