It's starting to look that way. Maybe one day there will be another trustworthy crowd-funded casino owner, and I hope so. But it's not looking good so far.

There will be. There will be. (Group Bet anyone?)

I still think Dean isn't going to run with peoples shit over @ PRC.

I don't either. Not that it matter what I think, since my track record at spotting scammers is currently 0 for 2.

I wish he wasn't such a dick to you, but I think when you came in pointing out problems a fair few trolls did too at the same time.

He felt a little attacked.   Roll Eyes what evs lol

I don't care if people act like dicks. What concerned me was him fobbing me off and avoiding my questions about why I couldn't have my coins back. That's exactly what you DON'T want to see in someone who is trying to gain your trust.

On the other hand the DB and DN guys were always very accommodating and apparently honest. So again, what do I know...

I guess the most important thing about being a confidence trickster is to gain people's confidence. That's presumably what sets the successful scammers apart from the wannabes.

Dooglus proven me wrong but he is probably the one and only exception.

The incentive to run away with investor funds is just too great. I imagine that it takes a lot of time and effort to run a dice site and only taking 10%~ of the profits takes a long time for an honest person to ROI verses a dishonest person to run away with investor money

People that can risk others people money to me are not to be trusted. I could never accept investments and risk all that money that isn't mine.

You make it sound much worse than it is. It's not like I asked for a loan and promised to pay it back with interest. I said "I'm running a gambling game with a 1% edge. If you want to help bankroll it, you can. You might lose, but you are more likely to win. You in?"

I risked "all that money that wasn't mine" because that is precisely what the owners of all that money WANTED me to do with it!

Every site looks like safe site until it decides not to be Smiley

We all know what your angle is here  Cool

But seriously, doesn't Stunna look like a prophet now... two sites did exactly what he warned would happen.

As much as I dislike PRC and its owner I'll be rooting now for it to prove that there can be an honest investment site other than JD. It would be good for everyone if PD had some serious competition.

Couldn't agree more.

We all benefit from good competition, like when LN opened it went directly after PD , and theirs competition did bring a lot of good stuff to us , players.

Competition is always good, it makes us work harder.

BUT its way to easy to setup dice site, with no money , start accepting investments , watch ur wallet grow and then say , ah fuck it , i like this amount , see yaa suckers !

That's why i don't like all this, taking investments "casinos" i mean if u want to run casino , RUN IT WITH YOURS OWN MONEY.

Dabs- Are you working on a dice site with an Invest option? I have seen the signs around the forum of you trying to get something going, that would be interesting. I have seen dooglus say there are chances of him starting up some form of Just-Dice.

Yes I am. I'm already talking to potential private investors. These are different from "bankroll investors". The problem is who to trust, so I'm talking with local people (local to me).

My dream was to do the poker thing, but that's too difficult. I'll start with dice, then work my way up until I need some real e-gaming license from some country like Canada, Costa Rica, Isle of Man, Panama, I don't know. There is actually an online gambling license in my country (Philippines), but part of the rules prevent me from accepting my own fellow citizens, which isn't actually a bad thing (that just means I can accept players from 100 other countries except my own, and I'm sure there are ways around that.)

doog mentioned that he was stressed out of being responsible for a large bankroll. I don't see it being an issue with me, however I might change the rules a little bit and ask for a little bit more commission if I go and do a similar "invest" scheme, you know, to pay for physical security.

And then, when I do finally launch, I'm afraid doog will do so too. LOL.

Has anyone made an offer on the site?

Fuck no lol

In other news:

Appears Dice.Ninja pulling some "ninja moves".

And Moneypot is trying to sell their site for some reason that probably has to do with DMF's involvement in their site!

Exciting day.

What kind of Ninja moves are we talking about? Don't tell me there are issues with DN now? Where have all the honest people gone? Oh wait, there are not too many honest people left in the world Tongue.
BTW why can't you buy it and add a Huntercoin option?

Dicebitcoin never gave me a clear number on what they would sell for + I'm not sure how I feel buying something so tainted + I worry that I lack to the skills to run a site like this... So I stick with lobbing PRCdice.com to add HUC and still slowly adding. Tongue   I head the wallet is still being a bitch Sad *sigh*

I have a feeling PRC is our safest bet.  It has been around since before JD (not a dice site then obviously.)  I just got a good feeling about it.

PRC looks like a safe site, but it added the investment feature only couple months back. Overall, I have played on it, and is a good site. Anyways, players should still be cautious while investing.

I have seen dooglus say there are chances of him starting up some form of Just-Dice.

Really? It would be a great news for those looking for investment opportunity in bankroll.

Edit: You mean this?
ok thx, is there any chance you're going to return JD?

Yes, about 40% chance.

Guys, you're being played by a shrewd casino tycoon... you should at least ask what payout that 40% is for and what the house edge is Smiley

Exactly. The owner(s) have proven themselves to be shady and untrustworthy several times already; that is why I would never play on the site again, "new owners" or not.

One could possibly make it for the code, tweak the UI a little bit and start their own site with a different name

This is quite feasible. Even if the site is not actually sold the owners could just "rebrand" and start over. Rinse and repeat.

I doubt anyone would even buy the site considering all the things that have happened in the past month, and he will never be able to prove that he bought the site like Eisen said

Ok. They just sent me a third of what I was asking for to my emergency address. It seems the entire bankroll is drained (there's 1 BTC left, dunno why.)
The 1 BTC is probably what investors had invested that did not set an emergency address.

I think buying the site would be an interesting proposition. It has a pretty small number of issues prior to the nonce skipping incident and would be profitable over the long run if they were honest. I am not sure if anyone can recover from their reputation damage after all that has happened

Yeah it would be hard to recover reputation. And many people will think that they didn't actually sell website . So yeah maybe not so good idea to buy this.
The biggest hurdle would be to prove that the site was actually sold. I would think that their LTC site would probably be worth more as I don't think it encountered the same issues. It also apparently had been running for several months before they made DB.

I'll buy it for what they sent me. (0.3 BTC). Just to get the code, which I'll get fixed.

But I might as well do it from scratch and hire my own devs. I'm working on that now.
