Users are down ~6 btc, and investors are down ~4 btc, doesnt this make the commission taken so far ~10 btc?

Doog knows all about this commission thing and knowing how many BTC need to be lost to the house before it gets paid..
*remembers weeks on JD with no profit*

There was never a week on JD where the site didn't collect at least some commission, because even during heavy losing weeks there's still some lucky investor who got in and out at just the right time and made himself a small profit.

You can see the same in the stats I posted - as the players go from being down 24 BTC to being up 7 BTC, the site's total take goes up from 0.77 BTC to 0.88 BTC. So the site profits even as the investors lose - just not very much.

Script that deducts commision @ Sundays was run successfully Smiley Will post in awhile investor sums as well Wink

People often ask in the chat "why are the investor and player profits so different?" or "why are they both negative?" etc.

The way it seems to be is that the investor profit only shows investor profits which didn't yet have commission charged. That includes all investors with negative profit, and also those who have new profits this week which they didn't divest yet.

If you add the two profit numbers together, you get an amount representing how much investor profit *has* had commission charged (you need to remove the minus sign). So dividing that by 10 we see how much commission the house has taken so far:

I think this is how it works, but I could be wrong.

If I'm right, it means the site has taken 1.15 BTC commission so far, on 8 BTC of player losses, and investors together have at least 3.5 BTC of losses to recover before becoming due for new commission.

how about 999D ? have u checked it?

I took a look once. I doubt it's possible to run a site that is both legit and successful with such a tiny edge. 1% edge is bad enough.

if you may give me an advice, what is the best dice site for both you and me (as newbie gambler) ?

You are asking what the best dice site is, in the thread of a specific dice site -_-

Not only that, but Dooglus has already answered the question, he likes DiceBitco.in but wishes there was an invest only mode so he does not play.

I've seen some discussion about DB running their own bots to artificially inflate bet numbers and get higher on the charts, so I looked at stats over the last week to see how big the average bet is:

Turns out DB has the highest average bet size over the last week of all three dice sites I'm tracking!

Dooglus, hates gonna hate. We cant run bots AND have investments as well, quite the contrary. 90% of PDs traffic if not more, its coming from faucets. PRCs max bet is almost 1/10th from ours. People miss the most important part --> INVESTED amount! That, no site can fake it(well, they can IF they dont provide proof of funds, which we do - see 999DICE). So i guess, when others still cant believe how they are keep losing ground day by day, accusing us for inflating the bet numbers(?) could work for them. Good luck with your theories Smiley

tl;dr

Im not surprised at all that we have the highest bet size of all dice sites Smiley The target of surpass the 5k BTC+ invested till end of August looks more realistic than ever !

It is not surprised to have people exploiting the site and impersonating trusted members, but it is interesting to see a fake dooglus go straight to talk with the real one. Tongue

You cannot, exactly like JD. Its the same story as'how we know nakowa was not dooglus?' . You cannot know Smiley You just have to trust it.

Btw we had some very good bug findings today, thank you again ppl. It goes without saying ofc that you should never ever give your password or any details about your account in chat. For those, we have support tickets. Bugs will be fixed asap Smiley (fucking chat, its causing so much trouble :p)

I assume you will still have a choice, same as with JD. I am with doog here, if I dont get the "invest only" setting soon I have to withdraw in order to restrain myself or probably gamble it all... Well, unless you could maybe give me your willpower +10 ring? Wink

His point is that he doesn't want *us* to have a choice - then we'll play and lose, and he'll benefit. Get it?

Also, the client-side exploits apparently also allow an attacker to impersonate other users. I just saw a 'dooglus' (all lower case) with a crown talking to me...

So beware if 'manl' asks for your password in a pm...

God what kind of person finds these chat exploits.... lol Cheesy

The revolution will be digital
dooglus: which dice investment sites do you like the most presently if you don't mind answering? I obv won't hold you liable for anything.

I'm not currently invested in any dice sites.

Most recently I invested in dicebitco.in, but they don't offer an "invest only" feature, and I found I was playing too much.

At JD it was relatively easy not to play, because it could look like I was cheating (having access to the server seeds). Without that constraint I found it harder to invest without constantly doing the old "divest, gamble, reinvest" dance.

If that wasn't an issue, I think dicebitco.in would be my dice site of choice.

How do we make sure that the same thing wont happen at DiceBitcoin, i.e. DiceBitcoin owner wont play himself in a different name ?

what's preventing you to pull a JD and just suddenly stop operations

You make it sound like JD did something bad.

No offense intended, obviously JD did something very right and I do respect your decision to close it down. But speaking in practical terms, a site closing down is not very beneficial for investors and I'm solely speaking in the investors' perspective, so I hope you understand. Btw I'm the guy that won the SwC poker tournament so I'm very grateful for how you & and deb were running things and organising these sorts of fun activities.

His point is that he doesn't want *us* to have a choice - then we'll play and lose, and he'll benefit. Get it?

Also, the client-side exploits apparently also allow an attacker to impersonate other users. I just saw a 'dooglus' (all lower case) with a crown talking to me...
