This coin appears to be near a bottom around 60 satoshis but it can be
some more weeks before the next rise starts.

48 satoshi now so it seems 60 was not bottom.

Do you think it can go under 40 satoshis ?

It is getting close now.

Sia is working to grow and improve its applications though it is not yet reflective of the price. I still see SC coming down below 60sats before upward movement begins

If you would have researched a lot about sia, than you would know, that your files are not stored on only one computer. They are stored on a lot different computers, checking always how many computers are online to provide a copy-transfer to others, if the amount of computers - where your files are stored - will undercut a particular figure.

I have never invested in cloud storage ICO ideas but i have researched a lot  about SIA to get some idea and i should say , the SIA coin idea has already failed. This idea only works if sia just works with real storage investors, who will sign a contract to provide really great  service. With personal computers, this project will never work. Imagine if you are a company owner and customer of SIA to get cloud service and someone who is keeping your files in China or somewhere-else turns off the computer and goes on vacation for 2 weeks. You have to wait until they turn on your computer.Sia will always lose its customers. This idea will definitely never work with personal computers. What I recommend the sia team to just work with storage provider companies who will guarantee to keep their storage available 24 hours a day 365 days a year. They have to stop working with personal computers.

Currently just about 2% of sia miners can find customers to use their storage.  This is another issue and many other cloud storage ideas are coming up and I believe they will all fail. Imagine, only 2% can do mining and many other storage ICOs will share the 2 % Smiley .

The cloud storage ICOs will not be a good investment in the short term, just stay away at least one more year.

Yesterday the Sia team announced that the used space (and paid for)  has just exceeded 100TB

Usage is increasing so not a dead project at all. The price will follow soon I feel

I would not touch sia until a clear bottom is formed. I think we will see 60 sats again. But fundamentally the project is quite strong.

I mine SIA as a secondary, but haven't seen much upwards movement on the price since I began accumulating. Should I hold on to what I have mined, or convert it into something else? I mean, on paper SIA makes sense and I do see real world application for the coin.. when can we expect the value to reflect this?
hold. siacoin will be better by next year

Due to 100's of other ICO's popping out of no where in July-September area, lots of $$$ went else where... Some people on here are posting some silly ass FUD.

Crypto's are very volatile...You take the risk on investing into a brand new industry which is very volatile.

IF you can read chart's, You'll see Siacoin is currently in accumulation zone.

This is a Crypto that has an actual working product. It has over 1000 hosts, with PB of storage already stored.
Active Dev team, Hired a Community Manager and another Core Dev recently.. Constant announcements. Very active on discord.
Their roadmap is great and next month there will be a big update.

I'm buying more whenever the price fell i bought at 70 i bought now it's currently at not 60 this might be the break even point if it further falls i might buy. You shouldn't care if it drops it is the bitcoin gold scenario everyone wants it therefore they are selling trust me next month you will be selling it at 100 or maybe even more

i think sia will not fall much after that, a really nice opportunity. It makes sense to invest in SIA at this level

I agree it is around the deepest point and the people that buys around this level will get good profit in less than 1 month. Fork issue is about to complete so investors will start to sell their bitcoins to buy altcoins.

I think people should not invest in SIA because this altcoin is really dangerous and can become the second Dogecoin in coinmarketcap. My advice is to invest in a more valuable altcoin and be able to grow well in the future
I agree with you . We should limit investment in SIA because this is altcoin that really does not have the potential to grow for the future and can become dogecoin. I think alternative altcoin is a good choice because there are over 1000 altcoin for you to invest

Bitcoin storm is here, alts are dying and we have nice opportunities like for SIA. Price at 60 satoshis, market cap at 100M, team expanding, nice roadmap ( https://trello.com/b/Io1dDyuI/sia-public-roadmap )

What price are you going to get in ?

Do you think it can go under 40 satoshis ?

SIA under 100 satoshi is quite nice. Who can afford  should buy it now. But right now SIA is not the only cheap coin. Thee are quiet few for which is just a matter of time to go back to previous ranges compared to Bitcoin.

Well one guy tried Sia and found it quite useful. The article here: https://steemit.com/siacoin/@heymattsokol/investigating-the-top-50-cryptocurrencies-part-4-50-siacoin

Agreed with the chart but their roadmap looks great, they hired new guys. The hype will come back for sure.

When it was under 70 satoshi last time (in a moment of Bitcoin Cash) I made x2.5 profit short-term. So I plan to repeat this  Wink

I already bought some SIA at 70 satoshis and I'm pretty happy with my investment, I don't see there being much more of a fall and even if there is I expect a recovery to at least 100 satoshis.

I know many stories of money lost with SIA... i would stay aways from it no matter how low it is.
I remeber to read an interview where they said they try intentionally to keep the pricce low agains specualators.. I wonder if they realise how is that stopping others to rent their HD/mine in exchange of a coin that just goes down and down in time.
