Though it's still risky though, but I think saving passwords still helps alot, as this sometimes helps me recognize fake site when am asked to login to a site I know I've logged in before.
No sir, saving password is also risky. These password are saved in gmail and can be easily view if someone get access to your email. i am writing this because this happened to me when chrome data was leaked. My all login password was saved in chrome. Hacker got access to my all twitter and other all gmail accounts.

All cloud data is not safe and we should safe all password in hard copy. Wallet paraphrase, Important passwords especially exchange and other sensitive data. These password saving is very good for fast login but i will not recommend because of data leak.

Yes some times i searched one big name especially crypto related and google searched Phishing sites for me. two times i was decieved and i lost some $ also in these Phishing sites. Its very very important to open website from official source (Bitcointalk ANN, Twitter, discord, Coinmarketcap)
Search engine results can be manipulated especially if you're using Google Chrome without safety parameters, if you're a user of the site its important that you bookmarked the site, you can also use a good anti-virus that can trace phishing site, there are also extensions to trace phishing sites but in my case, I limit the use of extension, but awareness is very important if it involves money you have to double check if you are on the right site.
You are right mate, I've had experiences where I search a site on Google, lo and behold, clone sites, which are possibly scam sites, appear on the top of the list before the actual site I was looking for, assuming I wasn't so sure of the url I was looking for, I could possibly fall prey to those fake scam sites..

So indeed, it is very important to be very careful with each site we visit, most especially, when it involves money and personal information.
Though it's still risky though, but I think saving passwords still helps alot, as this sometimes helps me recognize fake site when am asked to login to a site I know I've logged in before.

The phishing site is very fast and full duplicate designed with original one. Without caring Domain name , one will easily be scammed there. Original website first checking connection secured test which taking almost 8 second. OP done a great job by warning everyone one here. After Chipmixer banning now Sinbad is big mixer and it is considered safest mixer for big mixup and scammer are taking benefit of this.

So yes, this is very dangerous as anyone can fall for this trick if they are not careful enough to check the links or make the big mistake will searching for it in Google.
It is necessary to pay attention to the links that will be accessed, sometimes with Google search it is also misleading if they don't know the original, it would be better to visit this forum and go to the sinbad.io thread it will be much safer than searching on Google or any other search.

Buying similar domine names isn't a practical solution to prevent cybersquatting, imo. The same domains with other common TLDs have already been registered and buying them may cost a fortune. Besides, there is a high chance to miss some of them. So, this is only going to give customers a false sense of security believing that even if they make a typo they will be redirected to the real website.
It's the visitors duty to check and double check the the URL before making a deposit. It's also the community's duty to report phishing websites.
Popular TLDs wouldn't go for scam. Some of them are in use for purpose already. So, popular tlds aren't going to be a threat for sinbad. There will be few looks like domain and unpopular tlds which can pretend them.
Anyway, it's not a total solution. It's a part of the solution.

I also found another one that's "a few months older" than the above-cloned site [sinbad.digital] and it even has a blog [this doesn't exist in the official mixer] Cheesy
This clone site is more perfect than what I found, they have added a lot including the onion site. LoL

It's getting rampant and now it's enough to be a concern and caution for those who want to search in any search.

I think it's important to check the WHOIS information on the domain name to see when it was actually registered.
That's a good start, but it becomes a bit tricky when we're dealing with cloned sites that have been registered on the same day as the official one [in other words, we shouldn't solely rely on that information to protect us]!

There is another one I found recently cloned site with domain name mixersinbad.io but here have added FAQ, news and language options but still they have a different email from the original.

I try to look at this homoglyph or typo squatting, the first attack is this website:

Code:
https://simbad.io

So if by chance, you go to your web browsers type and made the mistake or entering "m" instead of "n" you will be redirected to this fake website.

Code:
https://sinbad-mixer.io/

So yes, this is very dangerous as anyone can fall for this trick if they are not careful enough to check the links or make the big mistake will searching for it in Google.

Thanks for the warning, really good work, it's good that you made a thread about the phishing site because Sinbad has a signature campaign and got a good reputation, sure it has good traffic so many may fall victim to this scam.

On the one hand, this indicates that Sinbad has gained a good reputation through the campaign because scammers usually create phishing sites for famous brands and names.

It is difficult to avoid the problem except by exposing phishing sites and alerting people to make sure that the domain is 100% correct.

I don't know whether this is really their competition or there are scammers who deliberately make it without involving the original, but what is clear is that every time there is a popular mixing site there will be an imitation site and including sinbad which is now known on forums as popular mixing.
Could be both scammers or competitors but it's not only in the mixing industry, even in casinos and the exchange industry cloning is very rampant, they can be reported on the host that's hosting the clone sites or here in Bitcointalk or other platforms, and if you're a mixer user you know that you can lose money if you landed in a clone mixer so it's your responsibility to always check the right mixer that you're dealing this applies to all platforms, you have to be a thinking internet user.

Quote
This won't even be far from the previous mixer scam, which has been cloned a lot, but will the official Sinbad take this action so that its name remains clean from clone sites?
They are not the ones scamming but the clone mixing sites they can only do what they can do within their capacity it's still on the users to be responsible and knowledgeable users of the internet.

Additionally, there are 1K+ TLDs out there not to mention, with each TLD there are multiple ways to create a similar SLD e.g. slnbad, sinbed, slnbed, sin-bad, sinbadmixer, mixersinbad, sinbad-mixer, etc. If they're gonna buy all/most related domain names, imagine how many is that? @-@

Honestly, with people who don't have a habit of verifying links, there's a limit on how much baby sitting a website can do...

I think Sinbad should buy almost all domains near on their domain name to avoid this phishing and cloning.
Not all the mixer cares a lot about their customers; don't know how Sinbad would take this suggestion but that's the best they can do. They should buy all the domains related to their domain name. That wouldn't cost them a lot unless they would try for some popular domain extension.

I guess no competition; rather it's the scammer we used to see targeting popular mixers all the time. Now that ChipMixer shut down, they are looking for the rest LOL.

That clone website seems to be not finished yet he forgot to put other pages like faq, news, and language choices.
You are right, clone sites never go away they will continue to be made when there are mixers that become new in popularity and that includes the sinbad mixer.
There is another one I found recently cloned site with domain name mixersinbad.io but here have added FAQ, news and language options but still they have a different email from the original.

I believe this clone was made by other competitors who trying to hijack traffic.
It is likely the same as what happened to Chipmixer there are lots of fake Chipmixer before.

I think Sinbad should buy almost all domains near on their domain name to avoid this phishing and cloning.

Thanks for providing this information. It's crazy how these types of fake (cloned) sites pop up here and there to scam people.

I think it's important to check the WHOIS information on the domain name to see when it was actually registered.

That's a good idea but there are a lot of domain extensions and combinations of words to consider the list could go up to 20 or more
the best that Sinbad can do is for them to alert its users about these clone sites, and encourage them to bookmark the right Sinbad site since they have an active announcement here and running a signature campaign active mixer users are already aware of the right Sinbad extension, they should continue running their campaign for their visibility and avoid clone sites.

Expect something like this in the mixing service they did it on Chipmixer, these scammers will also do it in other mixing services that is why I don't trust the search engine when it comes to giving us reliable results, they can put annoying ads that are similar to what we are searching in the internet, and if we are active on using a mixing service, bookmark it or compile it in your folder so you can go directly to the mixing service you're using when there is money involve expect scammers to create a clone for this.

There are no onion sites in this clone site.
Contact, different from the official one.
They could add their own fake onion website soon, but they are still going to be clone website.
Maybe Sinbad have alternative domains but they would post them in bitcointalk forum, and they didnt do that so far.
I saw this fake website have different email addresses than original, and I saw the same thing scammers did with fake chipmixer websites.

Great find.

We all know how hot the mixers are today and with a bunch of it having their signature campaigns in the forum, that adds more popularity in them and one of them is sinbad.

This is likely a scam website that tries to ride on sinbad's popularity. Anyone who's going to use and deposit on them is likely to receive nothing and that deposit is gone forever.

It can also happen into other mixers that these scammers will have their eyes on.
