The best way to adquire bitcoins or sell bitcoins in Singapore is to use a trusted exchange, ANXpro is one of them, and currently it has almost no fees for withdrawal and for deposits and it supports SEPA.

do you think accepting bitcoin in Singapore will increase sales?

or it is absolutely useless?

You'll certainly get the novelty factor out of it and people will talk about it.

The main question is: Do you still want SGD at the end of the day or will want to you keep the BTC?

If the latter, just try it. You can get started with a cheap Android phone and the Mycelium app. Make a private key somewhere safe and use Mycelium to monitor the corresponding address. Whenever a customer comes along you or your staff can enter the SGD amount in Mycelium and it will convert using the data from the exchange of your choice. Customer scans the QR code - done. This will probably take 30 mins to an hour to setup. You always can move to a more sophisticated system later.

If you want fiat out of it, you'll have to talk to Coinpip. AFAIK they are currently the only merchant solution for SGD.

you should be more specific, many factors to consider: type of product, market target, location and etc... but it's definitely useful you just haven't discovered it yet..

What is the risk of accepting it? If you are worried about volatility convert to cash- lower rates than CC.

At the very least it can generate press and possibly foot traffic.

Anyone knows where to buy USB ASIC miners in Singapore?

Wouldn't bother with those. 2 GHS USB mines about than 0.00012 btc per day
True but I wanna buy a couple if they are cheap enough. Anyone knows how much are those?

I got hold of 1 Antminer U2. Unused. Selling SGD $40 or higher.
Bank transfer and free mail. For Singapore market only.

Thank you

SG is out of the mining race already - considering the electricity rates.

that's correct and make sure you declare the item as computer parts to let it pass the customs.  The moment you put words like "cryptographic computer" and "bitcoin" then expect looong delay as they will refer to the items to another department for inspection.. eventually it may get marked as unapproved and you may not even get it...

is there any tax for import bitcoin miner/pc stuff to sg?

questions:
1) how much is the miner/combined hardware value?
2) consumer or commercial purposes?

essentially, they are hardwares. iirc, all goods valued above USD400 are taxable.

IIRC, cryptography goods are on the black list.

1) lets say cointerra IV or more than usd 3k
2) consumer purpose for sure
