That's a nice setup you have there man, congrats and well done on all the hard work getting it setup. It sounds like you should be doing pretty well for cooling and airflow now.

What ya mining lately with your gear.....

Ive been out of mining for over a month, before the hurricane i was using awesome miner on zec, but last few days on zec has been terrible since putting some of my gear back online.. had to replace a lot of equipment that was damaged from water damage.. many of the GPU's did well tho even getting wet, i have cobbled together some of them onto a few machines and they seem to be running fine, 1 gpu i have is running ok, its about 10-12% low on the hashrate on every algo i try on it, so i am guessing its been damaged somehow internally.

Maybe try claymores CPU miner and see if the hashrate is better.. might be a xmr-stak misconfig.. make sure # of threads is half your L3 cache.. so like for my ryzen 1700 it has 16mb l3 cache so it uses 8 threads for good hashrate

Thanks ill try that. I hooked him up on minerstat and it has XMR-Stack integrated so I figured I would try that. Will give Claymore's a try and see.

something like instead of threads on cpu 0, 2, 4, 6, 10, 12.. the last one was 11 so it showed 0, 2, 4, 6, 8,10,11.. idk exact details but the tip was something like this (it didn't apply to my ryzen 1700 but might apply to your ryzen 1500x)

My late mom's house was flooded badly.

My stepfather had placed it up for sale in July after my mom passed in June.

Irma came by and really damaged it.

My stepdad suffered with my mom passing and now the house has a lot of damage. My mom was 88 and my step dad is 84 not a good year for him.

Back to coins I am hanging in there. Profits exist but are lower.

Wow 65% tdp for the 1070 sounds great.. maybe i'll mix 1080ti's and 1070s (and maybe 1080s too since they have about the same efficiency apparently?)

Regarding Ryzen 1700 for cpu mining I currently have mine at 3.6 @ 1.18v or so. I think like 40-50w total? hashing 550-575h/s.. can probably OC a bit more and get a bit more profit per power consumption

Hello guys.

I am on Windows 10 Pro. I have 2 x Palit GTX1070 dual fans and they barely reach 400 sols at:
power limit 65%
temp limit 70C
fans 80%
core +200
mem +650

How do you get 425 sols/s on a 1070?

Are you on windows 10?

What driver are you using?

What are your afterburner settings?

Planning a new riser-less build :
processor: Ryzen 1700
motherboard: Gigabyte AB350 GAMING 3
memort: 2x8GB DDR4
Corsair RM1000x
Full tower case: Phantek Enthoo Pro or NZXT Source 530
2xZotac 1080ti blower edition(4 months used ~ USD640 each)
1xZotac 1070 mini

Will this work in the full tower case or will it get too hot?
I would like to mine xmr with cpu and zec with the gpus.
Whats optimal settings for power efficiency for gtx1080ti / gtx1070 / ryzen1700 ?
what power? core? mem? should be set in AB?
my electricity rate ~ USD 0.14 kwh.

What's a good estimate on the power draw at optimal settings?

I some times get a 1070 for 369 and 5% off a net of 350.

They do 425 for zec at 65% tdp

To be equal to this you need to find the 1080 ti under 650.

It can be found on eBay once in a while eBay gives 8 or 10 percent off a newegg sale.

This is a decent 1070

I have a 5% off deal with my cc so this is 415 - 21 = 394

I did not know 1070s had (slightly) more efficiency than 1080ti, or any other nvidia gpu for that matter, for mining equihash... I may have to consider going for 1070s instead.. Considering the room I have my 6 rigs (gpu rigs, have polaris in them ATM but am planning to upgrade some of the gpus to nvidia for equihash) in get hotter easily, even if I'm using a couple hundred watts less with each rig... it would be a benefit having the slightly lower heat output.

In my experience, exhaust and gable fans like the Dayton models use a simple "on/off" type thermostat (and humidistat where present), so they're running at 100% when they're on at all.

Okay here is the deal every 1080 ti I own is under 80% tdp
They all run under 70c
I have had 27 of them.

Eight are in builds for miner gamers they are run harder then the 18 I mine with.
I sold the massive aorus it was too big

My 18 have zero issues.
Some in my garage
Some in the solar array
Some in my friends office.

The 8 in the gaming Mining builds are pushed harder and have no issues .

The Evga is available new direct from Evga for 699 or 709 if you want the better warranty

1) Xmr with Vega is 150 - 170W at 1800h/s if you do registry mods. If no mods, 1500h/s at same power consumption. Numbers pulled from my vega 64 rig. 1080ti is $2.50 a day doing zcoin at 130W. Usually they take 200W at 80% PL for most other algos, zcoin is an exception. My vega 64s are making the same amount as 1080ti these days.

2) In my opinion yes, especially since 1080ti can be found close to MSRP. Otherwise 1070s at MSRP gives slightly more sols/$, but twice the space and management. I'll still stick with 1080tis, because having half the problems is great. Any model will do, but FE 1080tis need to be below 80% PL if you live in a hot place. I got my FE 1080tis at $659, but regret not paying a little more for a good cooler like Evga SC2. Because pascal is sensitive to heat, my FE 1080tis are 2-3% slower than my better cooler 1080tis.

3) Vega56 performs within the margin of error of a vega64 in monero. I guess it will be a few percent worse in compute bound algos. Just go with 56s

I do have 2 1080 ti water cooled they are the Evga hybrid and the msi 1080ti.

If they were cheaper then 800 list price I would say look for them.

I got one at 729 which is a good price for water cooled.
