Since using the Deltas 2400w Platinums - I dont worry too much about PSU threshold anymore.

In most cases, instead of running PSUs to near max capacity, I use the Deltas up to 1700-1800w even though they can handle 94% of 2400w. I have the both TB250/12slots and H110/13slots and all of them are on Deltas running steady and not hot at all. The GPU farm are all with ROM mods RX480, Rx470s - underclocked and not aggressively OCed. The overall results is the warehouse stays cool 33-34c -- instead of previous state of 37-38c without the Deltas. Previously using EVGA-1300, 1600 and 1200w HP server PSUs.

Thanks for the info, citronick. How do you boot up the rig? the reset button does not work for me. I have to unplug and plug in again the mb power to start it. And when I connect sata to the first sata power in, the second pci-e did not work. Did not try first since my sata hd cable is blocking the gpu.

Sorry for the delay ...

1. BIOS is in English - no special settings - ran stock except for auto on after power down
2. Got 1 unit running in smOS, P106 x 6 - screen grab as soon as I get the 2xrigs below installed.
3. Work in progress, 2 x boards, 6 x 2 = 12 x P106s, 2400w Delta and 1 x ATX PSU
4. Phil's unit on the way - he can do more detailed review

that new MB with a million PCIE slots is nice for rig density; but at a certain point; you are asking for heartache.

One rig goes down; tons of hashrate goes down.

You still have the issue with power supplies and wattage draws with this many cards; but amplified 10 fold.

I like the new board with 6 very well spaced slots; and a built in processor on-board; I think it was ~$150USD.... That's a deal right there. It looks like you could fir 6x GPU with 2.1 slot spacing (like the larger EVGA ones) and still have room for them to breathe between them... but I could be wrong on my perspective given they are only photos to me so far and haven't had one in my hands.... but the price for sure is right for what you get, and it has multiple ATX power plugs for each supply you plan to run with it.... Id prefer 6 card density over 12+.... because the MB itself; doesn't really take up all that much space when you split that massive board's potential across separate machines. Given the amount of power supplies you would need; it makes sense to split them up for redundancy sake.

yes it can but you need to go to the bios and set power up after a black out. (the pandaminer were like that)

You are thinking of the ASRock H110 Pro BTC+. The PCI-E slots are right net to each other in a row and barely have enough space for the usb risers. It's a stupid design. The solder on the back of the risers WILL short out on the metal USB connector unless you insulate them from coming in contact. I filed the back of the risers and put two pieces of electrical tape over them, which solved the problem. Even Biostar made fun of how stupid the design on the ASRock board is. The Asus B250 Mining Expert PCI-E spacing is much better and desen't have that problem.

Yep, that's the one. Now I need to go find some coffee. :p

I know 19 looks cool but it is pretty dumb unless you have 5 or more.

So I got one Onda D1800 BTC mb and tested it out this weekend.

First of all, the board cannot start it itself. There is a reset button but it cannot boot the computer. I tried to shortcut the pwr pins and it did not work either. You should take a look at the EKWB blocks that connect 3-7 GPU's all only using a single slot each Cheesy

There is not enough room between the cards for airflow to the components on the back of the card.

Well, IF they are a scam they're at least not getting crazy on their claimed numbers - but a 6200 RPM fan is NOT intended for home usage, that piercing whine gets LOUD.

I had some of the old 80mm Delta "screamers" that pulled very close to that RPM level - they were NOT easy to damp the noise from.
