Yup - one on its way to Phil.

I am halfway setting up the boards for the remaining P106 that I got previously (18 pieces) so 3 x 6-P106 rigs with 2 x 1500w HP or 1 x 2400w Delta, and 1 x EVGA1000-G3 to power up the 3 x onboard SATA. Got sidetracked due to my travel commitments, but should be able to continue working on the rigs this week.

I ordered a test unit awhile ago but it got lost in the mail and courier blamed a technical glitched when the package with my name contained a GPS unit with car mount instead. After 3 weeks chasing them to find the other guy who had my package -- gave up.

Anyways - 8 concurrent 1x streams on a single 16x PCI lane ?? That's a mouth full and further invitation to potential PCI lanes limitations, special drivers, compatible with Windows. Maybe possible in Linux. Anwyays, the search goes on for full 16x slots, like the 6 and 8 x full PCI mobos  we are discussing here on the thread.

I mined it for quite some time.  I stockpiled enough, and am now sitting on it while the devs do their thing.  It fluctuates wildly in price.  They have a presence here on bitcointtalk, but are more active on their slack channel.

hi guys, is anyone mining HUSH? looked at whattomine and it showed as the most profitable coin for my setup (nvidia rig), im mining zen atm

for the moment I suggest waiting until you can us a cc or some legit payment.

I do not want to spend 12 or 13 hours organizing a group buy like I did with canaan.io  only to be told  sorry no deal.

when you are getting lets say your  box of 10 order a box of 20 I can collect  btc  for the 10  .  and no one is left with sorry no deal.

I got some info from my guy in China.

1. He said he could get them at 220 USD per mobo and payable in BTC only.

2. The above price is without shipping - he can arrange it for DHL, Fedex etc.  - additional charges for this.

3. Taxation when goes through US Customs or Europe, Asia - I have no eye deer 

My thoughts:
1. I think that price is on the high side. I dont mind giving my guy some markup for his efforts but gut feel this price a tad above my comfort level.

2. I don't see it selling in any of the China online markets yet - Aliexpress, TaoBao, AliBaba - I reckon we wait awhile more since this Colorful announcement was just last week.

3. I would not recommend buying in bulk - maybe 1 or 2 units for testing - and when we see better pricing from him or elsewhere then we group order for higher qty.

4. I would wait for awhile more for the mobo to officially get into the market - I think think this board no more than 150$-180$ (maybe).

5. This mobo is marketed by Colorful a massive IT company in China - currently largest NVIDIA distributor and they make their own OEM cards too.

This seller is my trusted seller - bought many mining stuff from him and he is quite resourceful getting the parts I need in China for my farms.

Let's discuss further this in this thread.

No question for you in the UK  the vega 56 looks pretty good.

Even now with patient shopping I can sometimes get a 1080 ti  at 665 usd.

I have never seen the vega lower  then 529.

Seems UK pricing is a lot closer to US for Vega than it is for 1080Ti.

For the records, Vega hashes easily at 1800 h/s on Cryptonight. Some have reached 2000 with custom tweaks. That's 2.5 times RX570 for less than 2.5 times the price AND power draw.

The ratio is only that good for XMR now, that's true. Maybe more potential can be unlocked for other algos, too early to tell.

price for the vega was close enough  I see some at 549 and 539 so 520  is not off much.

but I see some 1080 ti's at 710 and 680    900 is way off. thus the deletion.

I disagree with you Phil on this one. The 1080Ti's might be a bit cheaper in the US but so are the Vega's, and my math still works. My argument is completely valid.

You get more hash per dollar and more dollar per day currently mining XMR with Vega than you do mining any other big coin with a 1080Ti.

Vega's use so much power and are inferior to 1080 TI as well.

Why not buy those ?

I'm seriously considering a couple of Vega 56's now... But I have a bit of a dilemma. I've got a thin client in the living room that's basically using iGPU. It's connected to my NAS, acts as a media server basically (it's running Kodi and also acts as a bluetooth receiver/air-port-thinngy for streaming music from ipad/iphone devices.

I could add one or two Vegas on that board and mine away but there are 2 problems: noise and temperature - see, that thing is tucked away inside a cupboard. I however would still want to expand this rig because I want to use it as a local pc to play games on occasionally in the living room. Unfortunately it's driven by a Celeron and sports 4GB of ram.

In the end I'm probably gonna have to take this little rig out of the cupboard, and put a new one in instead with a beefier cpu, more ram and a decent GPU if I want to run games from it. But I won't be able to use it for mining. I could recycle the old one though and put a few Vega's on. If I had space to put it anywhere...
