everyone should have stopped using skype when MS an american company bought them.
There is no privacy for anyone using it now. Especially with the govt saying they have the right
to seize overseas servers from american companies.
Rest assured the intelligence community has a backdoor to your skype.

I will find IP of any Skype user for 0.001 BTC only. Almost instant detection if user is online. Payment after successful result.
Just provide me in PM correct Skype login. Addition info can help to identify user correctly (avatar, location, d.o.b....).
That bug can provide many opportunities for hackers, skype has the worst design and now another good thing

It appears that this vulnerability may have finally been fixed by Skype. Using regular resolvers I can no longer get an IP from my Skype contact, and Skyripper has confirmed that he cannot either.

Confirm that it works in the latest version of Skype.

Just for a backup, try checking this option in your Skype settings.

They're too busy making pointless layout updates to fix a massive security bug. It's perfectly logical.

Well said my good sir.

New layout every month, getting worse and worse (maybe I am getting old, but I want classical Skype layout back)

More than 2 years and this exploit has not been still fixed, it's very strange.

I'm not using illegal methods. Skype knew about this issue for years, and until they don't get it fixed, everybody can use this exploit.

Maybe try to contact the skype support and explain them the "exploit" I'm sure they will  give you a "bounty".
It's been noted and I believe acknowledged by Skype, they just haven't solved it.
